The beds were horribly soft and sunken in and misshapen. My wife felt like she was sleeping in a hammock. We had awful sleeps and came home with sore necks and backs. Very disappointed in the quality of beds considering what we paid and that this was our only holiday this year. The room was incredibly dusty and my sons allergies started acting up. I was charged $1828 for a beer in the club lounge because the attendant there mixed up our room number for the price of the beer. It of course was reversed but we were shocked to see this charge upon check out and don't feel this is acceptable.

Did not eat breakfast, but the lunch on the first floor restaurant was ok, the room was large, the double room seemed to allow four people, because the four of us opened two rooms, the front desk started to make a mistake and thought we were one Room, and then gave us four room cards, did not say nothing wrong, and later learned that it is two rooms. There is a small swimming pool on the first floor, and the environment is ok. The double beds in the double room are large, with a balcony, a coffee machine, and hygiene. You can see Calgary Tower when you go out. It takes about five or six minutes to walk.

The outside of the hotel doesn’t prepare you for the stylish interiors, the reception is not only modern but very welcoming, the front of house staff were lovely. We booked the Mingle / Double Queen Room and the room was lovely, very clean and very hip, the bathroom was generous and again stylish with a normal sized hairdryer, complimentary shampoo & body wash, we could park on the property and the staff were helpful and very welcoming. Would certainly stay again.

The hostel is a good base for exploring the local area is right next to a large grocery store, train station and only 10 minutes walk to the saddle dome. We especially loved the little library area upstairs - it was great to have somewhere quiet to chill in the evenings. The free breakfast is great also we really appreciated the tea, coffee, oil & seasonings provided by the hostel. In the rooms there was limited plug sockets meaning that some people had to leave their phones the opposite the room which isn't great for those setting early morning alarms etc. Also in the women showers there was no doors/locks only shower curtains which didn't feel the most secure for privacy.

The plane was canceled and I found this hotel. The room is clean and tidy, and the service is friendly. However, if you want to stay here, you need to bring your own toothbrush and slippers. The hotel does not provide it. The distance from the hotel to Calgary International Airport is about 32 dollars by uber. It is not very close. This The distance shows five kilometers. I think it is more than that. It takes about 10 to 18 minutes to drive. This information is for your reference! By the way, there is no pick-up and drop-off machine, so you have to trade taxis yourself

Show that you care! The hotel is new, beautiful and well located. The breakfast room is impressive with its size, tall ceilings, views and terrace. The breakfast itself is great with its variety, including waffles and a delicious South Asian(?) vegetable stew each day. The suites are large and well equipped, and the bed comfortable. Now if only the staff could treat customers a bit better. We paid $30 for underground parking, which was important to us because we got an upgraded rental car and were liable for it. On the second day, the garage was completely full, with more cars entering the garage - thanks to a broken capacity indicator that permanently shows 208 spaces. Staff basically blamed it on the fact that the garage is a private facility unrelated to the hotel. They sent us to two nearby surface lots. One was only available till 8:00 at a cost of $22.52. The second one was a dirt field. 1. I don’t care whose lot it is. You sold me access to it at an extortionate price and did not mention any other options, implicitly endorsing it. 2. Don’t sell more spaces than you have, especially at that price. 3. Know and explain options. Don’t direct your customers to a lot that only sells space till 8:00 for over 3 times the price as the next lot. You are wasting my time. Then at 4:00 am, we were woken up by a loud motor noise coming from the fridge. We had to move it and unplug it (it’s a full size fridge, not a hotel fridge). The clerk’s reaction? “Sorry about that, I’ll tell maintenance.” We had one night parking taken off the bill. No consideration for the hassle both from the parking and the fridge. You can do better. Better policies, better communication and a bit more generosity. Overall, not a good experience.

First of all location is decent, it is near Sunridge mall, with restaurants close by. Stayed here for 2 nights. First impression is everything. First thing we noticed was building didn’t look like it’s in good shape, and dented trash can in the lobby. Behind the front desk were un friendly staffs during the entire stay. In fact their impression did not even look like they were staffs. They would tell you the bare minimum at check in. At check out a robot could of done a better job. 2nd day at 9am we asked for more towels, as they only provided towels for 2, even though we had 4 guests. Without asking for our room number was told housekeeping would make their rounds. However we received an email prior to check in there’s no daily housekeeping. If we require towels to request by 10am the day of. Which we did, but was told we are incorrect. So who’s telling the truth? Or again is front desk staff being lazy? Also don’t bother with the Marriott app, the staffs at this place does not check the messages. They do have a fitness centre, pool, whirlpool on site. We did see several dead bugs in the pool, so pretend it’s an “outdoor” pool. Only had 1 pool towel left for the 4 of us, again called front desk, apparently the “nice” gentleman says its not their responsibility to stock pool towels. What is this hotel and their towels? Another nice amenities is they do have, coin operated washer/dryer located in the parkade level. I’m glad we didn’t have to use it. Imagine asking the front desk for change? They will probably blame their guests for not carrying change in a society where’s it’s mostly cashless. The room is clean. They did place a bottle of water in the room which is a nice touch by the hotel. House Keeping staffs were very friendly. Good job housekeeping crew! However I can’t tell if the room we were in are renovated or not. Some of the furniture looks updated but some weren’t, the mattress was uncomfortable. The bathroom is clean, sink is updated, however the Bath tub and towel looks old. The black out blinds are good. Bottomline housekeeping did a wonderful job, however designer did a horrible job. One elevator was not working during our entire stay, so only one elevator to serve the entire hotel. Again NEVER mentioned at time of check in. If we didn’t have toddlers and stayed on the 6th floor, would of been faster to take the stairs. Breakfast was included in our rate, for guests who’s rate does not include breakfast, It does cost $15.99 per person Buffet style. I wouldn’t recommend paying for it, as the spread was horrible. Also day of check out, we saw dead bugs on the fruit tray. Upon brining it to their attention they brushed it off at first, eventually replace it with a new plate.but bad for guests who’s looking for that extra protein. Parking is free which is super nice, you can park above or underground which is nice for hot or super cold days. However the parkade is like a junk storage yard when you enter. But at lea

Hotel location is very good! Right in the city center! It is also free to take the C-Train to and from the three stations in downtown, which is very convenient! The hotel room overlooks the city's central library. But the service of the hotel staff still needs to be improved! At check-in at night, the hotel front desk staff said that free breakfast could be provided to us, but when we went to the restaurant the next morning, we were refused entry. Very bad attitude!

The hotel room is too small, the room has been recently renovated, the bed is very comfortable, because the elevator is renovated, the original elevator is old, so the upper and lower floors are relatively slow, understandable. Downstairs, you can take the red line and the blue line. The downtown section is free. This is a good idea to learn. I booked via Bonvoy App. $700+ for two rooms one night. Online turns out the rooms are $121-$125/room/night! Empty minibar, no water, not a single biscuit. No complimentary toothbrush at reception (”..we ran out..”) so tried to buy one at their shop (”...we ran out..”). Tried to BUY a coffee. Coffee machine out of order. Had to buy a bottle of water for my 'luxury' room and finally reception agreed to comp me a bottle of water. I'm beyond further comment. I'm going to use other brands from now on. Ridiculous.

We had the most amazing stay in late July. We booked a stay as our first stay before our birthday trip to Banff to explore Calgary. We used points the redeem for a night. Upon some email exchanges prior to the stay, I was given the option to pay to upgrade to club level which offers lounge access with breakfast and evening refreshments. Pam Doulson and Ava at the front desk are very sweet and kind. After learning it is for a birthday celebration, they kindly sent up a surprise birthday treat along with a nice upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite which is perfect for our party with 3 adults and 1 kid. The room is spotless and roomy with 2 washrooms and 3 tvs. Instead of exploring the city, we ended up just enjoying the hotel and spending time at the pool with the most amazing water slide according to the kids! The quality of the breakfast is fantastic and the club has a beautiful patio for pictures and relaxation. In conclusion, it is the best stay we had in recent years. So good that we are coming back again before leaving Calgary. Thank you Pam and Ava for making the stay so special and enjoyable for our 3 generations. We have stayed in higher end hotel like Shangrila/Fairmont in recent years but I would say I got the most responsive and friendly service here. I’d rather stay here than there. P.S. - the only think you should watch out for (if u have kids) is the glass door… my son was so excited that he ran into the glass and had a bump on his forehead…. I guess it shows how spotlessly clean the hotel is! 🤣

The rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable. A hotel shuttle service that was outstanding. Restaurant attached to hotel and dinner and breakfast were both very good. I’m giving this 4 stars based on the Oasis Waterpark and our time spent there. Without that, I would score the hotel as a 3 (3.5). The hotel room itself was pretty standard. 2 queen beds, clean enough except for a dirty vent in the bathroom and a pre-existing stain on the carpet (see photos.) The air conditioning unit in the room was incredibly noisy and made for a rough night sleep on night 1. On night 2, I opened the window to allow for some “street white noise” and this helped to lessen the noises made when the unit turned on and off. Room was clean, housekeeping staff friendly and prompt to make our room up after night 1. I will note that the shower pressure was minimal, which made washing shampoo out of the hair challenging. The Oasis Waterpark is great. We missed the bulk of the Labour Day weekend travellers and had hours here to ourselves. Waterpark staff were incredibly kind. They also stay busy! Some observations from the Waterpark: - The slides are cleaned daily, which is great. It does result in minimal downtime for one/both slides for a bit, but I can appreciate keeping them clean. - The rest of the Oasis was kept clean, with staff frequently spraying things down. - I lost count of how many times water quality was tested for all bodies of water, great work. - Water in the main pool was pleasant, warm in the toddler pool, and a bit chilly in the pool where the water slides dump you. (Not a bad thing as it encourages people to move along out of the way quickly.) - Hot tubs were definitely hot! - It notes no people under 16 in the hot tubs but children were in them with their parents (we did the same, kids needed to warm up after the slides.) I see no issue with this if times are kept short. - Dry sauna was closed for the duration - The water slides are great but safety rules must be observed. We saw two injuries and both times it was when people were not following posted rules (tandem rides, entering the slide before the previous rider was most of the way down, sliding headfirst.) We will stay again so that we can visit the Waterpark.

Good location right downtown. On a one-way street so you have circle around if you miss the entrance. Front desk was well staffed for a Sunday afternoon and very friendly. Lobby is bright and clean. Plenty of elevators and card needed to access floors. Hallways are wide and well lit. I stayed in a corner junior suite which was large with ample seating. The windows are large for maximum sunlight. There is a large balcony and sliding door with double locks. Full room darkening curtains but no light filtering shades for daytime privacy. My room was quiet (9th floor, furthest from elevator) and the HVAC is electronic with fanless covered radiators. Bedside wall lamps and floor lamps to give lots of lighting options. Decor is nice with lots of natural wood surfaces and ample drawers. The TV has a good menu with PPV available. Mini fridge and single serve coffee maker included but no microwave. The bathroom is very large and bright. Huge counter space. The large counter mirror has a built-in TV which is high-tech and useful. This has its own remote and separate from the main TV. There is a bench and wall hooks. The closet with hangers, safe and ironing board is within the bathroom area. There is also a wide full-length mirror in the bathroom. The shower is a walk-in with glass sliding doors. The shower is long but narrow. The wall-hung bottles are located exactly where you would stand and makes an already narrow shower even more narrow. I hope they relocate these to the opposite wall for better clearance. A grab bar and 2 wall shelves in shower for convenience. The textured wallpaper is really beautiful. A large sliding door is thick for privacy. Extras include (but not guaranteed): electric humidifier, complimentary bottled water, spare toothpaste, cotton swabs, 2 robes, slippers and lavendar balm. Starbucks and The Keg on site. Overall a very nice stay with great service.

The outside of the hotel doesn’t prepare you for the stylish interiors, the reception is not only modern but very welcoming, the front of house staff were lovely. We booked the Mingle / Double Queen Room and the room was lovely, very clean and very hip, the bathroom was generous and again stylish with a normal sized hairdryer, complimentary shampoo & body wash, we could park on the property and the staff were helpful and very welcoming. Would certainly stay again.

I booked via Bonvoy App. $700+ for two rooms one night. Online turns out the rooms are $121-$125/room/night! Empty minibar, no water, not a single biscuit. No complimentary toothbrush at reception (”..we ran out..”) so tried to buy one at their shop (”...we ran out..”). Tried to BUY a coffee. Coffee machine out of order. Had to buy a bottle of water for my 'luxury' room and finally reception agreed to comp me a bottle of water. I'm beyond further comment. I'm going to use other brands from now on. Ridiculous.

The Dorian and the courtyard are next to one another. The Dorian is a very nice place to stay. The room is a good size and has a large bathroom. On the 27th floor there's a nice restaurant and on the second floor is another good restaurant option that's open B, L and dinner. The mattress is comfortable, it's quite. I definitely would stay here again. It's also connected to a Skywalk.

This location is so perfect if you want to walk around the streets of Calgary. My room was a standard King it was the best experience I’ve ever had. They just had a moment of tech issues when it comes to claiming my breakfast voucher, but aside from that, the staff were so nice, they kept the room clean, the amenities were so worth it.

It was our first time staying at the Alt Hotel. There were several upsides to the property, the location was nice and the staff were very friendly and informative. We were able to check-in early for no added cost, which was awesome. The room itself medicore. The bed is very comfortable and we liked the techy features but the room was very small. The shower featured a glass pane that was apart of the bedroom, when the light was on in the bathroom, it shone throw the whole bedroom making it inconvient for 2 people. The shower also leaked through the glass door and onto the floor of the bathroom and the water pressure felt really low. Parking is normally $30 but street parking is free if you park on the street between 6PM-9AM. The two restaurants on site were both closed Mondays and Tuesday which was disappointing. Overall, I dont believe the hotel was worth the price of $200 a night.

The hostel is a good base for exploring the local area is right next to a large grocery store, train station and only 10 minutes walk to the saddle dome. We especially loved the little library area upstairs - it was great to have somewhere quiet to chill in the evenings. The free breakfast is great also we really appreciated the tea, coffee, oil & seasonings provided by the hostel. In the rooms there was limited plug sockets meaning that some people had to leave their phones the opposite the room which isn't great for those setting early morning alarms etc. Also in the women showers there was no doors/locks only shower curtains which didn't feel the most secure for privacy.

Hotel location is very good! Right in the city center! It is also free to take the C-Train to and from the three stations in downtown, which is very convenient! The hotel room overlooks the city's central library. But the service of the hotel staff still needs to be improved! At check-in at night, the hotel front desk staff said that free breakfast could be provided to us, but when we went to the restaurant the next morning, we were refused entry. Very bad attitude!

I have stayed at many hotels in Calgary but this is my go to unless my work books us. The staff here are great and service in general is awesome. I like the selection of ppv movies including one's still in theaters. The restaurant and lounge are nice as is the free airport shuttle. The best rooms are the king bed rooms on the 5th floor.

The beds were horribly soft and sunken in and misshapen. My wife felt like she was sleeping in a hammock. We had awful sleeps and came home with sore necks and backs. Very disappointed in the quality of beds considering what we paid and that this was our only holiday this year. The room was incredibly dusty and my sons allergies started acting up. I was charged $1828 for a beer in the club lounge because the attendant there mixed up our room number for the price of the beer. It of course was reversed but we were shocked to see this charge upon check out and don't feel this is acceptable.

Trip was for a family member with a medical emergency (non life threatening). I booked it while still at the hospital and arrived dead tired with an issue - the room I booked was only available for 2 nights. I told them I need 3 nights at least, I didn't care what type of room. They not only upgraded me for free but gave me an incredible discount because my daughter was in the hospital. The only proof I had was my parking pass for the hospital and that was enough for them. It is about a 10 minute drive from the Foothills Medical Centre. I never made it down to the pool or hot tub but the jacuzzi tub in my room worked beautifully! The bed was very comfortable and the suite even had real dishes and utensils! Everything was clean, my suite was quiet and everyone was so nice! It was no trouble to extend my stay (we had to wait for her surgery, no guaranteed date or time). I had two meals at the attached Denny's, service and food was very good. There was a Safeway between the hotel and the hospital so it was convenient. There are 2 gas stations across the street. Front of hotel faces Olympic Park. The only downside was no decaf coffee in the room or in the lobby but that is not a dealbreaker for me. I always pack my own decaf tea anyway. There are plenty of fast food places within a 2 minute walk.

For breakfast, there is milk cereal on the second floor, homemade waffles, yogurt and fruit-boiled egg bread snacks, and cold coffee. The best thing is the hot cereal! The bed in room 118 is two 1.5 beds, which is quite wide. There are 81 tram stops at the door of the hotel, and 15-20 minutes walk north to the largest mall in the south. There is also a small restaurant in front of the hotel. It is a motel so parking is possible.

This new hotel is located just a short distance west of the Calgary Airport. It is very fresh and clean. Rooms are not large but are very comfortable and the design and appointments are terrific. Believe every room has a full kitchen including a stove top and dishwasher. Utensils and dishes were more than adequate. Only pots and pans were a bit sparce. There is a coffee bar but no toaster. Had a great sleep each of the 2 nights we stayed. The heat/ac unit worked very well and best of all, it was quiet. And the window can be opened a bit. We did not use the restaurant but there is a breakfast buffet for $10.50/person and a full-service restaurant. The hotel has fitness centre, pool and free shuttle service to and from the airport. Only negative is we found that lighting for the bathroom mirror, even with the separate light that goes all around the edge of the mirror on, could be better. Value for money spent was very good. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
