Excellent as always. However they stopped providing disposables which might affect some travelers. Do note that you cannot clock hilton points when booking on trip.

Perfect location. Worth paying for breakfast but there are also coffee shops around if you look for alternatives. Love their owl shaped soap. Great as souvenir

Asking for a higher floored room really makes all the difference 😀 the city view is beautiful in the day and night (16F). Beds are on the firm side, and the pillows are quite uncomfortable for me. One is too soft and one is too hard. However, the location is great, easy to go Ximending, or even Taipei101 area using blue line. There is an amazing food street behind the hotel, as well as simple ********* breakfast stores in front of the hotel. Near the area is also an electronics district and Don Don Donki within 10min walk. The bathroom was great, the water pressure was great and heated toilet came with bidet. Would visit again for the food street but will bring my own pillows next time ☺️

1. Misleading Entrance Signage Upon arrival, we followed the signage pasted on a pillar that directed guests to a staircase entrance. However, when we reached that entrance, we were shocked to find the door marked with the sign “来宾止步” (“Guests Stop Here”). When we raised this with your staff, we were told that this entrance has not been in use since the COVID-19 period. While we understand that certain operations may have changed during the pandemic, COVID-19 restrictions have ended for more than two years. If the primary entrance has been permanently closed, why has no corrective action been taken and the misleading signage still left there? Carrying heavy luggage up and down a sloped path unnecessarily was frustrating and avoidable. 2. No Staff Assistance or Clear Signage at the New Entrance When we finally located the new entrance, there were no staff members on standby to assist us, nor was there any clear external signage indicating that this was the correct way to access the lobby. The explanation given later was that all staff were away assisting with parking which is not acceptable. At least one person should have been assigned to remain at the entrance, or the last person leaving should have arranged for another colleague to cover the position. In addition, the Operations Director mentioned that there is signage inside the new entrance directing guests to take the elevator to the lobby. However, this logic is flawed. If guests cannot locate the correct entrance in the first place, how could they possibly see a sign placed inside? 3. Poorly Trained and Unprofessional Front Desk Behavior After struggling outside, we called the number listed on Google. Only then did someone finally come out and lead us in. By that time, we were exhausted and upset. When we confronted the front desk staff about why they ignored us, despite us clearly visible outside the “来宾止步” glass door, making eye contact and knocking for help, but they claimed they “did not see us.” This excuse was clearly untrue, as we observed them looking in our direction. Even more disappointing, none of the front desk staff offered an apology even until we requested to speak to the Operations Director and asked him to review the CCTV footage. After reviewing the footage, the Operations Director confirmed that the front desk had not been alert and apologized on their behalf. However, he did not acknowledge that the front desk’s attitude and lack of sincerity were also serious problems. Being “not alert enough” and showing no sense of apology or empathy are two entirely different issues. As an international hotel, the front desk is the first impression of your service. Regardless of the quality of your facilities, this poor experience completely overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. It also severely damages the reputation of Kagaya Group — a brand that has long been admired for its exemplary Japanese hospitality and politeness. Although we appreciate the Operations Director’s effort to make amends by offering us a meal and gifts (which we declined), it remains undeniable that this incident reflects a failure in staff training and management oversight. We hope that management will seriously review this incident, especially the issues of: - Inadequate and misleading signage at the entrance - Lack of staff presence and assistance upon guest arrival - Poor front desk awareness and unprofessional behavior We trust that Kagaya Group will uphold its proud tradition of service by addressing these problems promptly and ensuring no other guests experience such treatment in the future. Excellent and very friendly service throughout my entire stay from doorman to concierge to front desk to housekeeping to restaurant to gym. Great location next to Shandao temple MRT and within walking distance to Taipei station, nice restaurants, cafes and the famed Fuhang soy milk. I also enjoyed the excellent lunch buffer at the hotel restaurant Kitchen 12 at incredibly reasonable price. But please note that Marriott Bonvoy platinum elite or higher tier members do not receive the usual executive lounge access or free breakfast if you book via Trip.com (you need to book directly with Marriott to enjoy the benefits).

O café da manhã era apenas médio, não havia muita variedade e a comida estava um pouco fria. A localização do hotel era excelente, próximo à estação Wanhua. A uma curta distância a pé (~10 min) da estação Longshan Temple). Há uma loja de conveniência Family Mart na estação Wanhua e um 7-onze nas proximidades. O quarto era muito pequeno e empoeirado. Não caberia 2 malas enormes. Foi classificado como hotel 5 estrelas, mas as comodidades não eram bem conservadas (por exemplo, chuveiro sujo, mesa de cabeceira empoeirada, banheira manchada). As toalhas devem ser penduradas apoiadas nas paredes externas levemente manchadas, pois o banheiro é muito pequeno. Vaso sanitário e chuveiro separados. Não há separação entre o vaso sanitário, pois a pia está localizada dentro do quarto. A cama também era um pouco macia demais, resultando em dores nas costas pela manhã e apenas 2 travesseiros macios eram fornecidos.

The hotel is conveniently located near Taipei Main Station. Check-in is strictly at 4 PM, and even if there are available rooms, an early check-in costs an extra NT$200. However, you can store your luggage for free, and there's a lounge area on the 6th floor where you can relax.

O hotel está em uma localização muito boa. Apenas a uma curta caminhada perto do Mercado Ximending, mas é calmo e não lotado. O lugar é limpo, com tudo, incluindo restaurantes, lojas de buffet, lojas de sobremesas, lojas de bebidas. Tomei um ótimo café da manhã. Mas o quarto não é muito à prova de som. Consegue ouvir as pessoas fora do quarto e do quarto vizinho. Pessoas com dificuldade para dormir podem ter alguns problemas.

The room is clean and comes with two pillows. The air conditioning is very cold. The building and the room are a bit old, but the location is excellent — right across from the Net store in Ximending. Check-in is on the 13th floor. There are two elevators, and during busy times, you have to wait for one to be available. The staff are very helpful and provide good service. Luggage storage is available both before check-in and after check-out. Check-in is quick. The shower controls attached to the wall aren’t very sturdy, but the water pressure is strong and heats up quickly. The toilet is Japanese-style, without a bidet spray. There’s no wardrobe, only a hanging rod with hangers. Other than that, everything is quite convenient.

Se você estiver viajando para Taipei, esta é a localização perfeita. Fica bem ao lado da estação de metrô Ximen e há muitos táxis disponíveis, o que é ideal para chegar ao aeroporto e às atrações turísticas próximas! Com certeza me hospedarei aqui novamente se tiver a oportunidade de visitar Taiwan outra vez!
