We stayed in this nice hotel for two nights to climb the Great Wall. Easy to get to by bus 919 or 880, with a couple of restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The room was well setup, very clean and fully functional. Dinner in the hotel restaurant has a great choice and good taste, highly recommended. Only the breakfast was disappointing, as there is no coffee, tea, nor even hot water and the choice of food is very limited. Staff tries their best, but it is the managements decision which way to go for.

My wife and I - including our 11-month-old baby - recently stayed at the Commune by the Great Wall, and honestly, it was an experience far more wonderful than we ever anticipated. Our main goal was simply to be close enough to visit the Badaling Great Wall early, avoiding the notorious Beijing traffic and the crush of tourists that arrive after 9:00 AM. A 20-minute drive to the wall made the Commune the perfect logistical choice, but it turned out to be so much more than a convenient pit stop. The moment we booked, the exceptional service began. Weeks before we even arrived, the staff was in contact with us via WeChat, offering invaluable tips for our journey. Their genuine warmth and support made us feel completely at home, even while traveling with a baby. If I have to choose one reason for writing this review- and I usually don't bother- it would be the incredibly helpful and friendly staff. This goes far beyond the generous suite upgrade they gave us (though we appreciated it!). Olivier was a lifesaver before we even landed. She patiently responded to all my queries on WeChat and went the extra mile to guide me through the complicated process of booking other attractions (like parks and Tiananmen) on WeChat mini-apps, which require a local phone number for verification. Her support was instrumental in planning our trip. The staff's proactive care continued throughout our stay. For our early-morning trip to Badaling, they booked a private car for us at 6:00 AM since Didi taxis are less available at that hour. Their shuttle buses were also always timely for pickups from our villa, making transport seamless. They even gave our baby a thoughtful souvenir gift, which was such a sweet touch. The Commune itself is a beautiful destination. The architecture features a modern, slick design nestled peacefully in nature. Beyond the stunning visuals, the food was excellent, and the transport facilities were efficient. While our primary reason for booking was logistics, the Commune by the Great Wall became a wonderful experience in its own right, thanks entirely to the staff's dedication. We're still traveling in Beijing, but we're already missing the tranquility and, most of all, the amazing hospitality of Olivier and Coco.

We highly recommend this hotel near Badaling for anyone visiting the Great Wall. The hotel is modern and convenient, with impressive AI features (Xiao Du system) that control lights, curtains, music,and the TV—quite advanced for a 3-4 star hotel. Most importantly, we want to commend Mr Chang Chao Hui (常朝辉)for his outstanding service. After we were overcharged by a taxi from the airport, Mr Chang(常朝辉) helped us report the incident to the taxi company and ensured we received a partial refund. His dedication and care made a big difference to our experience. Thank you to Mr Chang(常朝辉)for his excellent hospitality.

Viajando sozinho, escolhi o Capital Hotel. A localização do hotel é excelente, o Palácio Imperial (Cidade Proibida) e o Museu Nacional podem ser alcançados em 20 minutos a pé. A equipe de serviço é de alta qualidade e responde prontamente às solicitações. Os quartos do lado esquerdo têm vista para o Templo do Céu, e os do lado direito têm vista para o Palácio Imperial. Os quartos podem ser considerados de um estilo ”old money” – antigos, mas limpos e espaçosos. O café da manhã também é bom; sempre achei que os cafés da manhã dos hotéis em Pequim eram ruins, mas este é aceitável, o macarrão com costela é delicioso. Se eu voltar à Cidade Proibida, escolherei este hotel novamente.

The accommodation experience was superb, the location was excellent, very close to Tiananmen Square, and it was convenient to get around, with easy access to taxis and restaurants. Highly recommended!

O hotel em frente à Cidade Imperial tem uma bela vista. Fiquei num quarto com vista para a Cidade Proibida.O meu filho disse que queria ver a Cidade Imperial, por isso olhou para muitos hotéis e finalmente escolheu este. Fica a poucos passos da Praça Tiananmen e da Cidade Proibida. Há um parque de estacionamento, as quartos são limpos, as frutas são frescas, o hotel é antigo, e as relíquias culturais expostas no lobby do primeiro andar podem ajudar as crianças a popularizar o conhecimento histórico. A água fornecida por este hotel é a maior que já vi fora do hotel de sete estrelas...

The hotel has the best location in Beijing, near Tiananmen Square and the shopping center Wangfujing. The room is spacious with the high ceiling and a scent of European decor. Love the swimming pool and nearby tea cafe. The concierges are superb, very polite and helpful. We had two rooms for four days. Son and daughter-in-law were the first time in Beijing (and in China); they were impressed with the quality of facilities and services. We learned to order drinks, snacks and breakfast via WeChat; the hotel actually has a cabinet in the entryway for self-pickup. It is very convenient and thoughtful! Highly recommended for vacation in Beijing!

The room hygiene and other things are just so-so. A reminder to friends who stay in the hotel⚠️, don't listen to the people in the store to sell, and sign up for a one-day tour❌️. In order to save trouble, we listened to a tour (thinking that the price is about the same as going out by ourselves, and we don't have to transfer by ourselves), but when we got on the bus, we asked the people, and they used half of my price‼ ️‼ ️, the same tour I signed up for, the sky fell 🖤, friends. This is not the worst, the worst is that this tour is a shopping tour, buying jade and shopping in a supermarket. The tour leaves at 7 am and the disbanding point is 7 am. The actual time given to play at the scenic spot is about three hours at most😰. So don't listen to the staff and sign up for a tour. Remember.
