Old hotel with aged facilities.hot water and pressure is so bad for shower and water drainage blocked. Not English spoken receptionist at all!

While it was walking distance to Tiananmen Square, there were no subway stations nearby. The closest one was about 800 meters away.
Another issue was their gym is only open limited hours. Those hours are such that we were gone out sightseeing during those hours. Consequently, we never got to use it. Most hotels have a 24-hour gym.

While the location was nice and the service was great, the hotel itself was quite old—the room had a lot of stains inside. I'm sure it was clean, but it's just an old hotel.

The hotel is a bit old but is kept clean and at a central location nearby the train station and popular tourist/ historical attractions.
We had a pleasant stay at the hotel, the hotel staff was helpful and tried to assist us although some struggled to communicate in English. As foreigners with a toddler we felt welcomed.
Also, the breakfast had a good Chinese & western
foods that wasn’t the same everyday.
They also had some live music at the dinner restaurant near the patio which was a nice touch.
