I came to this fairy tale manor hotel through a friend’s recommendation. The environment of the manor is so refreshing! The manor is like a large and beautiful garden. Every step is like walking in a fairyland. Find a quiet corner in the garden with a book and feel the beauty of nature. The room is clean and tidy. Overall, I am quite satisfied. The room is large, warm and comfortable. After returning from the sea, I attended the bbq party at the manor in the evening. The staff sang and danced, and the atmosphere was full of joy. The restaurant’s products are also good, I recommend the curry breaded chicken and coconut smoothie 🍧

Staying at Manju Linshe Resort was the wisest decision I made during this trip to Semporna, and I highly recommend it. The boss is Cantonese and very nice. Most of the employees are Chinese and communication is smooth. Accommodation: The room is spacious and the flowers in the yard are beautiful and comfortable. Much more comfortable than the hotels in Semporna town. OK: The hotel is 10 minutes away from the town's sea pier. There is a car to pick you up and drop you off every day when you go out to sea and island hopping. Just tell the boss the location on WeChat. Food: The boss personally leads a team to the seafood market to bargain for prices. Huge Pipi shrimps can cost dozens of yuan, and Samui and Dongxing Pan can cost dozens of yuan each. Three kilograms of lobster cost several hundred yuan. And the hotel makes it according to the requirements, and the taste is not inferior to that of domestic five-star hotels. Play: The boss can help you book a sea trip at any time. We booked two lines. After having fun, we decided to book a third line. The boss directly booked the ship for departure the next day at the original price. Summary: Semporna is mainly about island hopping and eating cheap seafood. I originally wanted to live on an island, but the price was expensive, so I had to book it months in advance. If you live on an island, you cannot jump to other islands. And you can only eat buffets on the island. The living conditions in the town are much worse, and there are so many people and it’s chaotic. Cheap seafood is one of Semporna’s special features. Staying at Manju Linshe Resort, you can eat seafood freely at one-tenth the domestic price. I earned my travel expenses back after eating for three days. I jumped on all three lines of the island hopping tour. Saw the beautiful scenery of the island. The seafood is delicious, and it costs the most for a day on the island. Plus the boss's home-like service. Don't be too happy with the price/performance ratio.

I really like this garden B&B. There are only 7 rooms in total. The boss and service staff are very enthusiastic. It feels like we are friends. The breakfast is different every day. It is cooked as you go. It is delicious. Dinner can also be booked in advance. We Stayed and ate for 3 nights. The boss's craftsmanship was excellent and the dining environment was very comfortable. But remember to bring mosquito repellent, there are many mosquitoes. There will be a car to pick up and drop off the town for free. In the last half day, the boss took us to a local supermarket for shopping and bought a lot of coffee to give to friends. Semporna Airport is very small and the queues are long. You can’t go wrong by arriving at the airport 2 hours in advance. Our plane took off 15 minutes early.

I booked this room because of the extremely high ratings on Kanai Gundam, but it was too small. There was 0.6 meters of space behind the bed and 1.0 meters of space beside the bed. It was about 6 square meters in total, which was very depressing. public toilet. Bunk beds. At 140 yuan, I think the price/performance ratio is very low. The overall score is only 3 points. But two days later, I got a room with a large bed and a private bathroom for 210 yuan.

Renting a room under Hotel Emas Tawau: Imagine every time when you have the urge and rush to washroom to answer the nature's call (number 2), only to find out that there is NO WATER, and whatever coming out needs to be put on hold. Each and every time, each and every day, that has been my life in Tawau in the past 2 months. Empty water tank or faulty water pump, either way NO WATER. Need to shower - no water. Need to pass motion - no water. Need to cook or wash - no water Need to practise hand hygiene (wash hand) in a super red zone during pandemic - NO WATER. Have been paying >RM800 per month for rental, water, and electricity with NO INTERNET CONNECTION, for staying in a unit where rats outnumber the human.

Overall, this is a cheap hotel with middle price range. Rooms rate are between MYR60 to MYR150 per night. No elevator here. You will have to go up by using stairs. For youngsters that is ok but for seniors and old people it will be a little bit hard and and uncomfortable for them especially for senior age people with knee pain and back pain. Reception desk is at ground floor next to the main entrance. Location of this hotel is strategic because it is only 2-4 minutes walk to nearby night market. The Lahad Datu Post Office is next to the hotel building then the market is next to the Lahad Datu Post Office. If you drive a car you can park your car overnight at Post Office parking area which is free. This hotel is located in busy road.

My room (superior king room) was big and clean, but smelled a bit weird, it might be the smell of the sanitiser. The building from inside is newly renovated (renovation is still in progress), the lobby looks very nice, the staff is nice and friendly, but they have no restaurant, no small bar, no lounge, nothing. And the most disappointing thing: I could smell in my room that someone(s) smoke in the corridor or somewhere close! It was crazy disgusting! Smoking is not allowed in the building, but unfortunately they cannot detect it, since there is no smoke detector, which is dangerous.

I didn’t really stay at this hotel but paid a visit when I was in town. The staff there were very friendly and showed me a couple of rooms as I requested. It is definitely in better condition than the Inn2 I stayed in. It is the newest among the three Sipadan Inns, at a better location, especially if you go to Mabul with Scuba Junkie, very close to their office and their jetty. Thought to let travelers know as I didn’t see any comment when booking hotels in Semporna. It is a tiny seafront town, everything close by but those narrow, car-lined streets are not that easy to walk through if you carry luggage on a hot day.

The shower heater doesn't work and I have to shower in cold water. The shower stall area smell of urine. The whole room smells musty. The toilet seat is dirty. The walls in the whole room and the toilet are stained and doesn't appear to be wiped. The only redeeming quality about this hovel is the exemplary staff-they are helpful and obliging. The owner of this hovel ought to be shot. I can't wait to get out of this place tomorrow early morning.

Upon arrival at the airport, things just went downhill. My wife had booked a ride from Ocean Inn from the airport to their hotel prior to our arrival. Our ride never showed up even after my wife confirmed with the hotel staff. Called them and not one response after several calls. Great way to confirm everything and then leave your customers high and dry. We ended getting our own ride. Ocean Inn hotel is situated in a what I would consider a more or less slum area. I saw multiple locals finish their drinks and then tossed their trash over into the sea when there’s garbage cans just a few feet from them. There’s a lot of garbage sunken and floating in the water everywhere. Countless rats scurrying on the ground and roofs in broad daylight. The area reeks of sewage. When we checked in, the gal in the front didn’t like her job. No greetings. No smiles. No friendly service. Not sure if it’s a cultural thing that I’m misunderstanding. I felt like she didn’t want to help us. Never did. The entrance of the front desk had an overwhelming smell of mothball. In our room, my wife found strands of hair between the sheets and blanket. The room smelled mildewy. The restroom smelled like a heavily used public restroom. The shower pressure trickled. I just don’t know how some of these reviewers gave this place a 3-5 stars. Absolutely baffled!!! Overall, there’s little nice things to say about Ocean Inn except that the AC works well. I’ll let you readers run wild with your own imagination that I’m painting. I would never come back here again. Thank goodness it was just for one night stay.

Pros- Location is near the jetty. supermarkets, watsons are nearby walking distance. As you walked through the main entrance its like a different world. Love the main lobby area where there's arcade games, pool table, a movie area with bean bags. Breakfast spread is simple but good enough. Rooms deco as shown in photos. Cons - Hot shower was inconsistent. Need to wait for a while till its warm. And its not very hot. Room not very clean. Soundproofing not that great. If you're a light sleeper maybe not a good option.

We spent 4D3N at the resort and the overall experience was simply wonderful. We took the one day Bohey Dulang island hopping package and was assigned Dive Master Yusof as our guide. Yusof took good care of us and he made our hiking and snorkeling experience so memorable. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The itinerary/activities were well organized and coordinated. Our room was clean and comfortable for 3 pax. Food was good enough. BBQ dinner was yummy. The meals would be more interesting if we could more choices of dessert. Eg. Ice-kacang, sago pudding . We are glad we stayed at this resort because we were able to appreciate so much beauty nature has to offer (from land to under the sea) through your facilities and hospitality. Terima Kasih. 🙏🏻

Before I checked in, I compared it with a few net red island accommodations in Semporna. Xinjia Motor is not an island, but a water house that is only 10 minutes away from the town because we always wanted to be on an island with land. Accommodation. And we have compared the prices. The ocean view room we live in has double ocean views, and the facilities are better than the new ones. The price includes the round-trip boat fee. It costs one hour to sail one way, three meals a day, and the restaurant regularly does BBQ every week. He sailed three times a day and went to sea to Kapalai. It is really cost-effective to see sea turtles on snorkeling. After arriving at the store, the workers will take the initiative to go to the dock to help us with our luggage. We do n’t need to do it by ourselves. After going to the front desk, the workers will also help us to pull our luggage to the room. . In addition to going to the sea every day, there are also water slides and motor boats in the store for guests to entertain. The slide is free throughout the day and the motorboat is MYR 120 for 10 minutes. The only thing that is a bit inadequate is that the platform is piled with building materials, and there are four new sea-view water houses next to it. It's gone. Go out to sea to experience deep and snorkeling. The diving suit provided to the girls by the deep dive is super beautiful, and all we shoot are blockbuster feelings. You can see the shipwreck. The owner of Amina Resort is an overseas Chinese who is very enthusiastic. He waited for us at the pier and prepared lunch for us in advance. In the afternoon, we will go directly from Semporna Pier to Amina Resort, which takes about 35 minutes by boat. There is a small beach near the hotel where you can play on the beach. The most comfortable thing is the hotel's restaurant. After bargaining with the Bayao people, we can eat seafood at sunset. The seafood processed by the hotel kitchen is delicious. Slow life is in good shape. If you want to go diving, you can make an appointment with the hotel’s diving instructor Awei. The hotel bed is huge. All the facilities that the room should have are available. The boss Bobo will also remind you in advance that you need to bring necessary daily necessities before going to the island. Considering that it was our first time to come to Semporna and we were still a little seasick, they even helped us prepare lunch and accompany us when we went on an island hopping trip. The service level was quite high. Overall, the price/performance ratio is quite high for living on Semporna Island.

Wonderful staff and plentiful tasty food. Rooms are over the water and the open-air dining area is as well. The staff can organize snorkeling and diving trips or you can snorkel right off their dock all the way out to the reef, an amazing amount of life in those waters including one day where we could see 5 huge green turtles at one time. There is a bit of trash on the seabed, unfortunately, but the fish make up for it. The snorkel trip to Kakalai was nice to see a different island area and the trip to Sipidan was simply astounding - very expensive but worth it (snorkeling with 1000 Black Jack, 15 huge Bumphead Parrotfish and a huge Napoleon Wrasse - Wow). You can also buy local fish from locals who come up to the dock in their boats and the kitchen will cook them up for you (the mantis shrimp and the crab were some of the best we have ever eaten). Note that there is very spotty phone service and no internet, so be prepared to disconnect and relax. We will come back here on our next visit.

The owner of Amina Resort is an overseas Chinese who is very enthusiastic. He waited for us at the pier and prepared lunch for us in advance. In the afternoon, we will go directly from Semporna Pier to Amina Resort, which takes about 35 minutes by boat. There is a small beach near the hotel where you can play on the beach. The most comfortable thing is the hotel's restaurant. After bargaining with the Bayao people, we can eat seafood at sunset. The seafood processed by the hotel kitchen is delicious. Slow life is in good shape. If you want to go diving, you can make an appointment with the hotel’s diving instructor Awei. The hotel bed is huge. All the facilities that the room should have are available. The boss Bobo will also remind you in advance that you need to bring necessary daily necessities before going to the island. Considering that it was our first time to come to Semporna and we were still a little seasick, they even helped us prepare lunch and accompany us when we went on an island hopping trip. The service level was quite high. Overall, the price/performance ratio is quite high for living on Semporna Island.

Wonderful staff and plentiful tasty food. Rooms are over the water and the open-air dining area is as well. The staff can organize snorkeling and diving trips or you can snorkel right off their dock all the way out to the reef, an amazing amount of life in those waters including one day where we could see 5 huge green turtles at one time. There is a bit of trash on the seabed, unfortunately, but the fish make up for it. The snorkel trip to Kakalai was nice to see a different island area and the trip to Sipidan was simply astounding - very expensive but worth it (snorkeling with 1000 Black Jack, 15 huge Bumphead Parrotfish and a huge Napoleon Wrasse - Wow). You can also buy local fish from locals who come up to the dock in their boats and the kitchen will cook them up for you (the mantis shrimp and the crab were some of the best we have ever eaten). Note that there is very spotty phone service and no internet, so be prepared to disconnect and relax. We will come back here on our next visit.

We spent 4D3N at the resort and the overall experience was simply wonderful. We took the one day Bohey Dulang island hopping package and was assigned Dive Master Yusof as our guide. Yusof took good care of us and he made our hiking and snorkeling experience so memorable. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The itinerary/activities were well organized and coordinated. Wir waren über Silvester für 4 Nächte auf Pom Pom. Die Abholung von Flughafen Tawau mit privatem Fahrer und anschließender Speed Boot Tour hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Angekommen auf Pom Pom waren mit uns lediglich 13 Gäste im Hotel. Wir hatten einen Beach Bungalow, welcher täglich ordentlich gesäubert worden ist. Vom Bungalow an den Strand sind es lediglich 5 Meter. Der Bungalow ist zwar relativ groß, jedoch sehr altmodisch eingerichtet. Sowohl das Bad, als auch die Klimaanlage müssten dringend erneuert werden. Auf Nachfrage hat uns das Hotel höflicherweise die Klimaanlage innerhalb einer Stunde repariert. Wer einen ruhigen Ort mit paradisieschem Flair sucht ist auf Pom Pom richtig. Das Meer ist traumhaft warm und das Wasser ist kristallklar. Der Service des Hotels ist enorm hervorzuheben. Täglich konnte individuell mit Mitarbeitern besprochen werden, welche kostenlosen Touren man machen will. Tag 1 sind wir auf Sandbänke gefahren, Tag 2 zu einer Insel mit Wanderung, Tag 3 zu der Partner Insel Mataking (welche deutlich luxuriöser und teurer von der Austattung ist) Das tauchen hat pro Tauchgang 35 Euro gekostet und das Schnorcheln 20. Man konnte zusätzlich Schnorchelaisrüstung und Kajak Boote umsonst am Hotel für den Strand ausleihen. Das tolle Erlebnis Pom Pom wurde jedoch von der extrem!!!! schlechten Küche überschattet. Das Essenagebot ist Buffet und jeden Tag genau das Selbe. Es werden 4 ”Gerichte” angeboten, welche Kalt serviert werden, was wohl an den chinesichen Standart angepasst ist. Zum Früstück gibt es immerhin Omlett und Pankakes. Mittags und Abends gibt es immer Reis, Algen, Kaltes Gemüse, Wassermelone, Chicken mit Knochen (Kalt) und Kalte Shrimps. Ab und zu gibt es auch noch fritierten Fish. An SIlvester wurde sogar schon um 21 Uhr das Restaurant geschlossen und keine Bar war auf, weshalb der Abend sehr dürftig war. AUf Nachfrage haben wir erfahren, dass man spezifisch für Europäer und Amerikaner auch andere Speise habe,welche nicht erwähnt werden. SOmit haben wir ab Tag 3 uns entweder von Spaghetti und Tomatensosse, Tiefkühlpizza oder wenn wir sehr viel Glück hatten gebratenen Nudeln mit Chicken ernährt. Es gibt kein Wlan auf der Insel, man muss eine SIm karte kaufen. Schlussendlich ein traumhafte Malediven Insel mit tollen Sandstränden und tollen Ausflugsorten, bei welchen man Schildkröten etc sehen kann, vergleichbar mit den Malediven, jedoch auf Europäischersicht nicht mehr als ein drei Sterne Hotel. Total nette Mitarbeiter welche alles versuchen den Europäern den Aufenthalt angenehm zu machen, jedoch ist weder die Austattung (nicht mal ein Tv) noch das Essen an westliche Länder angepasst und erinnert mehr an Backpacker. Das Geld ist somit nur teilweise diese Erfahrung wert.
