We chose the hotel cos' it was conveniently located near the train station as we wanted to go to the Osaka expo. The rooms were ok. Housekeeping service was good. The Reception lady on our check in day (10/5 ) was not particularly friendly or helpful - perhaps she was busy. Upon check out today ( 10/7 ), however, the 2 ladies ( one from Indonesia ) were very helpful and the Japanese receptionist helped us refill our form to send our bags to Nagoya and called the receiving hotel in Nagoya to check that they will receive our bags. We are very grateful to her n I am sorry that I did not get her name but she was on duty this morning at 10.45am. Our room number was 3526. We also had a drink at the lounge bar on 20th floor on 10/6 night n it was quite nice. Overall, a nice experience at the hotel because of the Receptionist who helped us with our bags today (10/7 )and the Receptionist ( from Indonesia)who recommended us breakfast places n was very friendly and kind. Thank you. View from 35th floor lift landing.

When we first arrived, we went through the wrong entrance, and the front desk staff came down to meet us. The location is excellent; you just cross a pedestrian bridge outside and you're at the subway station. The service was fantastic. We were even more pleasantly surprised when we entered the room—it's definitely a very spacious room for Japan. We had no problem opening all three of our suitcases. The room facilities are very comprehensive. Every day, housekeeping cleaned the room thoroughly and replenished everything. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we visit Osaka.
Excellent location for visit to Expo. The hotel is located right next to the bus terminal for buses to expo west gate, and literally right across the road from JR Sakurajima that connects you by train to rest of osaka, especially the osaka expo liner that brings you direct to Osaka station in 13min.
Also enjoyed the onsen though it was way too crowded probably because of full capacity during the expo. But in general top marks for amenities and location.
+The location was really nice, very serene with lots of mountains surrounding the ryokan;
+Relatively easy to access (pretty far from Osaka, but close to the train station);
+Staff speaks English, so you shouldn't have issues with communication;
+They have a lot of instructions/maps/manuals on how to fully enjoy the ryokan, so you shouldn't have trouble figuring out the basics.
~Food was mostly ok, nothing bad or spectacular, good portions;
~Although they do have some SPA elements, it's really not a lot (basically nothing except hot springs and massage)
-It's certainly on the older side (not in the sense of it being particularly historical, rather that it would benefit from some renovations), but maybe that adds to the ambiance for some people;
-The actual inn territory is rather small, so you won't have much to explore without going outside.
Overall, I think it's a good first ryokan to familiarize yourself with the culture a bit, but I wouldn't necessarily refer to it as particularly impressive/authentic experience.

The hotel room wasn't large, but it was very clean. The only thing was having to leave our shoes on the first floor and enter the hotel in socks or barefoot. It was a slight inconvenience when I wanted to change shoes the next day, but it wasn't a big deal. I love hotels with hot springs, and I made sure to use it every day. Although the hot spring wasn't huge, it was perfectly adequate, and it wasn't overly crowded.
The hotel is largely automated, giving the impression they're minimizing labor costs, yet the service was still good. For instance, on a day I chose not to have my room cleaned after using the hot spring, they proactively hung fresh towels on my door. The only downside is the lack of a proper restaurant. The restaurant on the second floor only offers breakfast (which was quite generous) and complimentary late-night snacks (soy sauce ramen), with no lunch or dinner available.

The service was warm and attentive, the room was clean and hygienic, and the location was convenient, being very close to Nagahoribashi and Nihonbashi subway stations. There's also a large supermarket not far from the hotel. Plus, it's near the airport bus stop, with a direct bus to Osaka Kansai Airport, making it perfect for independent travelers.

The hotel has a pleasant ambiance and is conveniently located near the subway station. The rooftop onsen is fantastic and very relaxing. The rooms are also quite good, and you can easily walk to the Tenmangu Shopping Street from here.

An excellent hotel with a convenient location. The twin room was spacious, and the bathroom featured a separate shower and toilet area. Guests are asked to place trash and used towels outside their door daily for collection. Every morning, the hotel provides Yakult. In the evenings, after enjoying the hot spring, guests can relax in massage chairs and read manga, along with complimentary ice cream. After 9:30 PM, you can head to the first floor for a bowl of soy sauce ramen and free coffee and cola. I enjoyed the hotel's hot spring daily, and even the showers in the room were clean. As our final hotel in Osaka, the room was adequately spacious; even after all our shopping, there was still plenty of room to open our suitcases. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.

What a fantastic experience! The hotel boasts an excellent location, only a 5-minute walk from the subway station, and there's a convenience store right on the ground floor. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. My only minor complaint would be the breakfast, which was just average. However, the room was very comfortable, and the hot spring was a definite highlight – a genuine sulfur bath. Plus, they offer high-tech luggage storage lockers for after check-out, which is a great touch. Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is fantastic, right across from the subway exit, making getting around super convenient. Tsutenkaku Tower is also directly opposite. The room size is decent; I was able to open a 25-inch and a 30-inch suitcase halfway each. The hotel offers free all-you-can-eat ramen every night from 9 PM to 10 PM, with different soup bases daily. You can grab some snacks from the Tsutenkaku shopping street to pair with the ramen, making for a great dinner. The hot spring (onsen) is in a separate building. After changing, you get a code from the front desk; ladies go to the 3rd floor and enter with the code. You can pay extra to upgrade to a private bath. There are free massage chairs on the 1st floor.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is super easy to find, right by Exit 1 of Dobutsuen-mae Station, and it's literally next door to the Shinsekai area with Tsutenkaku Tower. It's incredibly convenient for both transport and sightseeing.
They have their own hot spring, which is amazing for relaxing after a day of exploring. The room size is pretty decent too, definitely more spacious than your typical Japanese express hotel. Plus, the breakfast spread offers a good variety. I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Osaka!
YYiyidemamaOverall, a highly satisfying stay.
**Location:** Absolutely fantastic. Shinsaibashi and Namba Parks are both within walking distance, and it's very close to Nihonbashi Station. Its extremely convenient transport links meant we didn't need to switch hotels for our Universal Studios trip. From the hotel, public transport took us to Universal Studios seamlessly in about half an hour each morning.
**Service:** The front desk staff spoke good English, so communication was absolutely no problem. Daily room cleaning isn't standard (available upon request for an extra fee). However, fresh towels are delivered and trash is collected daily, which we found quite convenient.
**Facilities:** Entering the hotel, taking off shoes is required, which felt a little unfamiliar initially. But once we adapted, we found it very convenient, and the hotel stayed impeccably clean – my socks never got dirty, no matter where I walked. The rooms are compact but well-equipped. The public bath floor offers complimentary ice cream or Yakult, along with free ramen and drinks in the evenings – the ramen was truly delicious! The only slight drawback was the relatively small public bath area, sometimes requiring a wait for showers during peak times. However, given this prime, high-value location, having a hot spring hotel here truly feels like a hidden gem.
SSkydreamieThe location of this hotel is so great! Customer service is good too; with great amenities.
If there are more pillows with different firmness would be good… as we think that the pillows can be better for better quality sleep.
Love the view from our room as we can see USJ. So close that we can see ppl running in at 8.30am 🤭
Love the bathtub and vending machines as well. Downstairs there’s 24hr Lawson too. Super convenient!
The hotel gave us Pyjamas too. So good. Thank u!
MMurahariFirst time in Osaka and Hotel Midosuji is conveniently located right next to Namba train stations for easy access to other locations. Strategically placed, step outside of property and you're already within minutes from Dotonbori shopping district. There's an in house onsen for both men and women on separate floors. The room is clean and simple with all the basic amenities. Will stay here for future visits.

GGuest UserLove this quiet and peaceful hotel and the surrounding....will stay again the next trip.
We stayed one night before heading to Kansai airport ( 5 mins train ride)
My son was so elated to enjoy the onsen due to his scoliosis and his pain was eased.
Good breakfast with a fantastic seaview. Be there and see for yourself.
About 10mins walk from Rinku town station. Should you intend to leave your baggages at the station, there are 2 options , locker or pay 500 yen per pc at one of the shops providing storage service.
You can then freely head off to Premium outlet and back before 8pm (shop closure) to airport.
Highly recommend Saba fish at OOTOYA - Rinku premium...pls google exact location.

MmendongmeiDormy Inn is always a top choice for us when we travel to Japan. Practically every time we visit, we first check the location and prices of Dormy Inn hotels. We've stayed at this specific hotel and its chain many times. The hotel offers smoking rooms, microwaves, ice machines, a laundry room, and natural hot springs. On the first floor, there's a beverage bar where you can help yourself to coffee, matcha, and chocolate drinks. Toiletries like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs are also readily available. You can pack light when traveling here; the hotel truly takes care of guests' needs very well. The complimentary soy sauce ramen served from 9:30 PM to 11 PM is also quite tasty; they don't skimp on quality just because it's free, it's consistently good. We'll definitely prioritize staying at this hotel again on our future trips to Japan.
