If i can give higher than 5 rating, i would do so for service. Forgot to ask for the name of the American lady (saw a USA flag pin in her uniform) at the front desk and she is so amazingly service-oriented. So with the similarly pretty superior (i guess) as she seems to be the one incharge. They told me i can be refunded with my accidental double-booking. The penalty fee was even waived. If given the chance again, we will stay in this hotel. We also love the room and all there are in it. We also love the view from our window.

When we first arrived, we went through the wrong entrance, and the front desk staff came down to meet us. The location is excellent; you just cross a pedestrian bridge outside and you're at the subway station. The service was fantastic. We were even more pleasantly surprised when we entered the room—it's definitely a very spacious room for Japan. We had no problem opening all three of our suitcases. The room facilities are very comprehensive. Every day, housekeeping cleaned the room thoroughly and replenished everything. We will definitely stay at this hotel again next time we visit Osaka.
I highly recommend opting for the Executive Twin Room. The size and layout are much more suitable and comfortable. The standard room feels a bit lacking, haha. 😂 A big thanks to the Trip.com customer service for helping communicate with the hotel and resolving my issue!
+The location was really nice, very serene with lots of mountains surrounding the ryokan;
+Relatively easy to access (pretty far from Osaka, but close to the train station);
+Staff speaks English, so you shouldn't have issues with communication;
+They have a lot of instructions/maps/manuals on how to fully enjoy the ryokan, so you shouldn't have trouble figuring out the basics.
~Food was mostly ok, nothing bad or spectacular, good portions;
~Although they do have some SPA elements, it's really not a lot (basically nothing except hot springs and massage)
-It's certainly on the older side (not in the sense of it being particularly historical, rather that it would benefit from some renovations), but maybe that adds to the ambiance for some people;
-The actual inn territory is rather small, so you won't have much to explore without going outside.
Overall, I think it's a good first ryokan to familiarize yourself with the culture a bit, but I wouldn't necessarily refer to it as particularly impressive/authentic experience.

Facilities: Excellent, exceeded expectations. Upon entering the hotel, you take off your shoes and store them in a locker. Check-in was fully self-service via a machine, which was very convenient. The rooftop hot spring was a must every night, so relaxing. After soaking, there were free popsicles to enjoy. The room had great blackout curtains and was quiet.
Restaurant: Free ramen was available in the evenings, and it was delicious. You could even buy an onsen egg from the Lawson downstairs to go with it, truly tasty. Breakfast was bountiful, and although I thought I might not be used to the food, it was actually very good.
Location: The location is great. Surrounded by office buildings, it's very quiet at night, much quieter than the Shinsaibashi branch.

The location is excellent, very convenient. It's about 300 meters from the subway station, and the airport shuttle bus stop is just a few minutes walk across the street from the hotel – you'll know you're there when you see the sumo statue. Shinsaibashi shopping district is also just a few blocks away. However, the breakfast doesn't offer bread or toast; instead, there are several kinds of kimchi, perhaps because Korean guests are the main demographic. They provide forks but no knives for meals. The hot spring is a definite plus and a great amenity.

The Executive Room was clean and spacious! The front desk staff was very helpful and gave me directions to Osaka Castle Park. In the evening, I enjoyed the outdoor onsen, which was super relaxing and helped me unwind after a long day.

An excellent hotel with a convenient location. The twin room was spacious, and the bathroom featured a separate shower and toilet area. Guests are asked to place trash and used towels outside their door daily for collection. Every morning, the hotel provides Yakult. In the evenings, after enjoying the hot spring, guests can relax in massage chairs and read manga, along with complimentary ice cream. After 9:30 PM, you can head to the first floor for a bowl of soy sauce ramen and free coffee and cola. I enjoyed the hotel's hot spring daily, and even the showers in the room were clean. As our final hotel in Osaka, the room was adequately spacious; even after all our shopping, there was still plenty of room to open our suitcases. I would definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit.

The room was small but very clean and well-equipped. You can pick up toiletries you need, as well as nutritional supplements and face masks, from the lobby. There's a 7-Eleven convenience store downstairs, and the service was excellent. Every day, they'd give us a spa code so we could use the hot spring anytime. The only downside is that the location is a bit far from the subway, but it's great if you enjoy walking.

Compared to hotels in Kyoto, it's not as refined, but the value for money is quite high. In the afternoon, you can enjoy free-flow beer and drinks. I didn't book breakfast, but it looked pretty good when I passed by. There's a Shinsekai night market nearby that's very lively from 7 PM to 10 PM, and some izakayas or restaurants are open until 11 PM or even midnight. When you exit Ebisucho Station, use exit 5. (If you haven't booked a ride-share or luggage delivery, leaving might be a bit difficult as this subway station doesn't have an accessible route.)

MM49235****The hotel shares facilities with Spa World. When I visited, it was decorated for Christmas. The room itself was decent, but they don't provide slippers, which was a bit inconvenient. For dining, you can eat at the large cafeteria on the third floor of Spa World or at one of their other restaurants. There's a good variety of choices, and the prices are reasonable.
RRuoqiulinAccommodation: The room size was decent, with enough space to open large suitcases. The room had a window, and the soundproofing was acceptable.
Transportation: Transportation was incredibly convenient. It's just a 2-minute walk to Nihonbashi subway station, 5 minutes to Kuromon Market, and 5 minutes to Dotonbori/Shinsaibashi.
Dining: They offered complimentary ramen at 9:30 PM. Free popsicles were available by the entrance to the public bath, and complimentary Yakult was provided in the morning. We also opted for the hotel's buffet breakfast, which cost 2500 JPY for adults and 1200 JPY for children, and we found it pretty good. Perhaps because there are many Korean guests, the kimchi at breakfast was surprisingly delicious!
Onsen (Hot Spring): There's no open-air bath, and the indoor communal bath wasn't as spacious as others we've visited in Kumamoto or Kanazawa. There were also no manga books or similar amenities. Overall, it was quite average.
GgzpeterLocation: The hotel is right by the JR station, with Universal Studios, restaurants, shopping, and commercial streets all within easy reach.
Cleanliness: Both the hotel's public areas and the rooms were clean and tidy.
Service: The staff were friendly and helpful.
Facilities: There's a chargeable public bath on the 31st floor, but it gets very crowded. The room size was good, larger than hotels in Tokyo, and could fit two suitcases with space to spare. The buffet breakfast was busy, and while the food variety wasn't extensive, the ingredients were fresh and tasty.
Perhaps because it was off-season, staying here felt like great value for money when visiting Universal Studios.
MMurahariFirst time in Osaka and Hotel Midosuji is conveniently located right next to Namba train stations for easy access to other locations. Strategically placed, step outside of property and you're already within minutes from Dotonbori shopping district. There's an in house onsen for both men and women on separate floors. The room is clean and simple with all the basic amenities. Will stay here for future visits.

JJo SingaporeQuite place. Facing sea for my room view. Auto self check-in, it is easy. The dinosaur machine at counter is scary for my kids. There is a 24hrs supermarket but need to walk an estimated 8mins. Hotel have washing machines cum dryer, ice cube machine, instant noodles and snacks and ice cream machine. I still like to see human service staff around than mostly robot. The room is clean. Onsen is nice (it is total nude) bring room hotel towel with you, don’t lost it else need to compensate ¥2,000. I will still recommend this and return to this hotel when returning back to Osaka. Walking no shelter from train station to hotel. Please bring physical card to pay because Japan don’t often use apply pay or Samsung pay. I use YouTrip card really can change to Yen on the date when highest Yen shows. Nice nice

MmendongmeiDormy Inn is always a top choice for us when we travel to Japan. Practically every time we visit, we first check the location and prices of Dormy Inn hotels. We've stayed at this specific hotel and its chain many times. The hotel offers smoking rooms, microwaves, ice machines, a laundry room, and natural hot springs. On the first floor, there's a beverage bar where you can help yourself to coffee, matcha, and chocolate drinks. Toiletries like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and combs are also readily available. You can pack light when traveling here; the hotel truly takes care of guests' needs very well. The complimentary soy sauce ramen served from 9:30 PM to 11 PM is also quite tasty; they don't skimp on quality just because it's free, it's consistently good. We'll definitely prioritize staying at this hotel again on our future trips to Japan.

SsakuracatI often go to a hot spring hotel in the mountains. It is most convenient if you have a car. The hotel has regular bus pick-ups. The hot springs are great, the rooms are clean, there are fewer tourists, and the experience is very good.
