"O Lugar de Vida é BEM acolhedor, divertido e central para ficar perto Da Rua Liuxing!O proprietário fala inglês bem e é Muito amigável e interessante. O Amor de Viagem e a cultura dele são exibidos Ao redor do albergue com a bela decoração e a sua atmosfera, e é fácil ver que muitos Amor e pensamentos foram a este lugar. Eles me deram um café de coco gratuito que era delicioso!A sala de compartilhamento feminina era limpa e moderna, com UMA cama confortável com um pátio. Há uma cozinha pequena partilhada com frigorífico/congelador, distribuidor de água quente e coisas para cozinhar e comer (mesmo que eu não cozinhei lá). As toalhas de casas de banho compartilhadas tinham algumas toalhas e algumas estações de chuveiro - um lado para mim era as toalhas são todas toalhas de esqui e não havia papel higiénico quando estava lá, então eu tive de trazer a minha própria (talvez não a vi, não perguntei). "Booked and specifically requested a corner bottom bed when all 4 beds were displayed to be still available online. However when I arrived, all the bottom beds were assigned to others and I had no choice but to accept a top bunk bed with slightly stained and creasy pillow and bedsheets. Room is cramped and attached shared toilets even more so. The communal area is a smoker's paradise. The only saving graces are location (proximity to the railway station and Wanda Plaza) and the 2 cute resident purr-kids."

"A pleasant surprise! The hostel is a restored rammed-earth building with super modern dorms surrounding a simple courtyard. Great combo of comfort and character. Not much English but they deal well with foreigners and I also found the Chinese guests here to be particularly welcoming and fun. Kuqa Town also exceeded my expectations, it is very pleasant and interesting to wander around. The best areas are across the river, especially the main drag which has plenty going on and great food."

"Lee was a great host, speaks excellent English, and was very helpful with suggestions on both things to do around Turpan and also border crossing how to info. The dorm was clean, and supplied with clean linen (make your own bed), and with an attached hot water bathroom. The lodgings are simple, but there’s plenty of space, and upon arrival I was invited to eat dinner (pictured) with Lee and some other guests—delicious! After dinner they screened a movie on an exterior wall. The location is midway between the station and Turpan proper, neither of which are comfortable walking distance, but taxis are cheap and easy to get. The hostel is within easy walking distance of one of the very interesting water irrigation museums, and there’s a good Uighur restaurant about ten minutes away on foot. If you’re on a budget, looking for a “traveller vibe” style place, and don’t mind the slightly out of the way location, this is a great option. Would stay here again."

"The best hostel in the city, i did 2 hostel in this city and this one is by far the best. The room is so nice with Xinjiang carpet i love it so much. The yard is big with everything as washing machine or kitchen, and a place for rest with a cute cat and a mulberry tree with free natural mulberry. The location is so nice close to the best place in Yining. All the girls at the reception are so nice and welcoming with a very good english. When i will comeback in the city i will book again this place without hesitation. I hope to see foreigners there in the future."

Excellent service and a very clean, spacious room with comfortable bedding. The location is fantastic, right at the entrance of the ancient city. Popular spots like the century-old teahouse, Id Kah Mosque, Rainbow Alley, Buidai Alley, 'Grandpa's Grandpa's Father's Nang' (a famous naan shop), and Oil Painting Street are all just a stone's throw from Guilai Inn. There are plenty of local eateries downstairs, making dining very convenient. The owner is very welcoming, and the soundproofing in the rooms is excellent. The night views are beautiful and captivating. Plus, there are bus stops nearby for easy access to the airport and train station. It was a pleasant trip and I highly recommend it; you definitely won't regret staying at this inn.

Hostel is about 5 - 7 minutes away from the ”Sports Centre” metro station, which is about 25+ minutes from the airport. The hostel entrance is next to the Tesla shop, and you have to press the buzzer, for the security guard to open the gate for you. Then, after writing your name down in the guest-book, you go up to the 10th floor in the lift. (Check the other reviews here, for a picture of the gate/door to the building) The staff speak little to no English, but they are very helpful. They will try to solve your issues, as long as you patient with the translation software. Also, it is difficult for staff to check you in, if you do not have a contact number or Alipay/Wechat contact. (This is a CN Govt requirement) The dorm rooms are basic and you may get the city views. There are no privacy curtains and there was no air-con, in my one. The hostel staff can provide fans, but we did not need any, as it was still cool at night. The beds are OK. There is a bathroom in the dorm room too, but there was almost no privacy for the bathroom, as there was a gap between the door for others to see and you can see through the frosted glass into the bathroom too! The hostel is relatively clean, quiet and well-located, except there may be other local guests, who are loud and smoke sometimes in the other rooms. Next to the hostel is a nice up-market shopping centre and with really lots to eat, in the food-court on the 3rd floor.
