"Located right next to the Ure River, with a nice view from the room. As it has only 5-6 rooms, it is pretty exclusive. You can use their 2 hotspring baths privately for 45mins each time, or you can take a short walk over to their 2 sister hotels for bigger hotspring baths. This is the only hotel in the Hazu Group that serves Medicinal Cuisine. As the hotel seems to be converted from a traditional old house, the stairways can be cramped and not suitable for bringing large suitcases, so just pack a small bag and leave the suitcase downstairs or in the car. Had a relaxing time there."

"Our family of 5 booked the room with an open air bath this January 2025. We definitely enjoyed our stay. The bath was warm and nice despite the windy and cold weather. The room/s were beautiful, the view of Ise Bay (especially at sunset) was spectacular, and the food was great, especially the dinner. The staff were really accommodating and nice, they even helped us book a taxi to the airport after we checked out. For those traveling to Shuku Kaifuu by public transportation, I recommend giving them a call before checking in so they could arrange a pick up service from Utsumi (train) station."

"すごく綺麗で快適でした。隣の温泉に入れるのも魅力的です！女性だとシャンプーやリンスのサンプルももらえる(イベントなのかどうかわかりませんが、)そちらもいただけたので嬉しいかったです。冷暖房は完備してありますが暑すぎる、寒すぎる時期は過ごしにくいかもしれないのでそちら避けたほうが快適かもしれせん。トイレも綺麗でBBQのグリルも使えて非常に楽しかったです。"

"Good value with exceptional service We were extremely satisfied with the services and had a delightful experience in that hotel. Our package included room, breakfast and dinner. Due to a minor traffic incident, we were unable to meet our dinner time of 6:00 pm. We contacted the hotel and they kindly accommodated us and provided attentive service. We were deeply touched by their care and consideration. The assistance to report of the traffic incident to the local insurance company was unexpectedly smooth with the help of the staff. The language proficiency of the staff was impressive, as they efficiently resolved language-related issues we faced. Furthermore, the traditional charm of the hotel exceeded our expectations and added to our enjoyment - good value. We will recommend the hotel to others and look forward to visiting again in the future. Special thanks to Ms. Oromo Rie, Mr. Toyama, and the staff responsible for our meals."

"As a female solo traveler, I wanted a safe yet authentic Ryokan experience in the city center. This was it! A very nice older couple, a very very clean place. Right next door there is a traditional public indoor bath, which adds more flavor to the experience. Yes, the facilities are a bit old, but I felt clean & the things I need are all there. But yea, gotta keep it super quiet, you can hear ppl going up & downstair, etc, also I booked the room had to share the toilet. I think it's a good location because it's close to the big shrine I wanted to check out, and also a direct fast train nearby to the airport. For dinner options, recommend this cool old town style place also very nearby, Kanayama Komachi."
