“I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to assist with any requests. Check-in was smooth and efficient, which made a great first impression after a long journey. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was especially cozy, allowing for a good night’s sleep, and the amenities provided were more than adequate for a relaxing stay. I also appreciated the little details, such as complimentary toiletries and the overall quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to unwind. The hotel’s location is definitely one of its strong points. It was conveniently situated near key attractions, restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to get around without much hassle. This added a lot of value to my stay. That said, there are a few areas where improvement could be made. Some parts of the room felt slightly dated, and occasional delays in service were noticeable during peak hours. However, these were relatively minor issues and did not significantly affect the overall experience. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and friendly service. With a few small improvements, it has the potential to be an even better place to stay. I would certainly consider returning in the future.”

The location is fantastic, right by two large shopping malls, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient—just a three to four-minute walk away. While you'll need a taxi to get to the old town attractions, it means the area is much quieter. There's a Hua Yang restaurant right under the nearby Gurney Plaza, and the wait times are much shorter than in Kuala Lumpur, so I finally got to eat there! The facilities are a bit lacking and can't compare to five-star hotels in China. However, the service is excellent, and they even offer a shuttle bus. Breakfast was a bit disappointing; they start clearing up right on time, and the variety isn't huge. Overall, the service was very good and proactive.

Todo o quarto tem tomadas britânicas de três pinos, não há tomadas de dois pinos para barbeador elétrico no banheiro, a TV só tem sinal de TV, sem Bluetooth.

this is my second stay here..will always be my frst choice if i’m in penang..love the hospitality,cleanliness and the strategic place…easy access to the beach and many choices of food nearby..

Estadia de fim de semana agradável. O quarto era espaçoso e limpo. A reforma acaba de ser feita e o novo mobiliário tornou o ambiente mais arejado e maior. A pequena deficiência era o novo material da cortina, que era um pouco fino demais e tornava a sala muito iluminada durante o dia, mesmo quando as cortinas estavam totalmente fechadas. Pude fazer o check-in mais cedo, às 12h30, pela simpática equipe da recepção. No geral, uma estadia muito satisfatória.

If you want to enjoy the beautiful beach, facilities and hospitality of a 5 star hotel you get the right choice of Hard Rock Hotel Penang. The hotel is far away from downtown where the attractions and fantastic street food are located. The room is comfortable and I got a free upgrade to a sea view room. My partner slept well but not me because the pillow of mine is lumpy, felt like it had clumps of filling. Overall I am satisfied with my stay in Hard Rock and had some good times.

Tudo é bom, excepto encontrar um Rato Na nossa Sala de Vida procurando comida 😅 Acho que veio do WC, e a porta de casa de banho TEM UMA Grande lacuna, então acho que a porta TEM UMA verdadeira lacuna. Mas fora do hotel é bonito Como Bali. Eu gosto realmente do exterior e do café Biru Biru

First time going to Penang, loved the location of the hotel. Amazing view of the beach from our room, and saw fireworks one night was a treat. They keep the beach clean for the property, each day saw it being cleared. The pool is a good refreshing temperature. Majority of the time isn't overly busy. Good depth and size of pool. I enjoyed swimming laps each day and relaxing on the sunloungers. Kept clean, fresh towels available. Good pool toys for the kids. The gym was amazing, good equipment and machines- beautiful view of the ocean. I would prefer the air con colder as the one in there didnt cool the room down enough and if wasn't standing near it, it got very hot. The water provided in there also isn't cold which i didnt like ( is in a machine that says keeping warm, which i dont understand shouldn't drink warm water when working out, don't know if it's a culture thing? Wasn't to my liking anyway) The room is spacious, bathroom bit tight but made do. Nice amenities topped up daily. Bed comfortable. Air con in room works amazing. Cleanliness in room noticed could've been better as after room being 'cleaned' noticed my hair still on floor and sand in corner from shoes. So seems the floor doesn't get swept or mopped as much as we thought. Buffet breakfast was great, yummy food and lots of everything. Plenty of staff i just think they need to be more attentive and watch the buffet e.g kids touching food ( saw few things) and make sure the food is safe for other guests to eat. We ate at the hotel lunch and dinner also, the staff mean well but there is a language barrier and was few instances where our meals didn't come out correct like we got a tomato soup when we pointed and said on the menu tomato pasta. We are patient enjoyed the food and kept going back despite the mistakes. We understand a second language can be difficult. Amazing fresh cakes in fridge we just about tried them all. The staff also did a lovely birthday song and candles on cake my husband brought. Overall had a lovely time.

Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. Este hotel foi, sem dúvida, o mais confortável de toda a viagem. Em primeiro lugar, o conforto geral do quarto é excelente, a roupa de cama é macia, a disposição é sensata e é muito relaxante estar no quarto, sem qualquer sensação de opressão. O que mais me agradou foi o excelente isolamento acústico; ao fechar a porta, tudo fica muito tranquilo. Seja para descansar à noite ou para uma sesta durante o dia, consegui dormir profundamente, o que é ótimo para quem tem sono leve. A vista também é fantástica, com o mar visível da cama. As vistas do mar ao amanhecer e ao anoitecer são especialmente terapêuticas, e observar o mar melhora o humor. O pequeno-almoço também é de alta qualidade, com uma grande variedade e sabores deliciosos, e os ingredientes são frescos, o que me deixou muito satisfeito e pronto para começar o dia de bom humor. No geral, é um local tranquilo e confortável, com uma vista para o mar que é um bónus, e um pequeno-almoço bem pensado. Recomendo vivamente, seja para umas férias relaxantes ou para um bom descanso. Não queria ir embora depois de ficar aqui, a relação custo-benefício e a experiência foram excelentes.
