The hotel is located right next to the beach, offering a relaxing resort atmosphere. It has been refurbished, so everything feels modern and comfortable.
The service from the staff is excellent, making the stay even more pleasant. There are also plenty of food options nearby, so you don’t have to travel far to find something to eat.
Free parking is available, and valet service is also offered starting from RM68 per day for cars and RM48 per day for motorcycles.
The swimming pool is clean and comfortable, though proper swimwear is required.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my stay and would recommend it for a relaxing beachside getaway.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Hyatt Regency Kuantan, especially the ambience and hospitality. However, there are a few areas that require attention.
Cons / Areas for Improvement:
1. Water pressure was quite slow, especially for the shower. When turned to hot water, the pressure increased, but once switched to cold, it became extremely weak.
2. There was water maintenance work happening during our stay. Although the hotel assured that everything was under control, it did affect our comfort while on holiday.
3. We noticed a small clump of dust on the floor. While it was minor, as we were staying with a 2-year-old toddler, it raised concerns as children tend to put things into their mouth. Housekeeping may need to be more thorough.
4. There should be better control of wild monkeys, especially around the parking area. I was chased and nearly bitten, which was quite frightening and unsafe for guests.
Pros / What We Appreciate:
1. Excellent service recovery — I forgot to disable the “Do Not Disturb” sign but informed the front desk to clean the room. The housekeeping staff called first to ask for permission before entering, which shows professionalism and true 5-star service standards.
2. The hotel’s surroundings are beautiful, clean, and very calming — truly breathtaking.
3. The beach is very clean and conveniently located right next to the hotel.
4. Large swimming pools (two pools available), so it never felt crowded.
5. Staff were extremely friendly, polite, and always willing to help.
Conclusion:
Hyatt Regency Kuantan has great potential with its beautiful location, facilities, and outstanding staff. With improvements in water system management, housekeeping checks, and wildlife control, the overall guest experience would be even better.
I recently had the chance to stay at Adena Beach Resort, and honestly it turned out to be a really refreshing getaway.
The biggest highlight is definitely the private beach. Waking up to the sound of waves and being able to walk straight to the beach in the morning is something you don’t get everywhere. The beach was clean, peaceful, and perfect for a slow morning walk during sunrise.
The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, with a relaxing view that makes you feel like you’re truly on a break from the city. The resort itself has a calm atmosphere — not overly crowded, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
Another thing I appreciated was the friendly and helpful staff. From check-in to check-out, the service felt warm and welcoming. Small gestures from the team really made the stay more pleasant.
If you’re looking for a quiet beach escape in Pahang, especially near Kuantan, Adena Beach Resort is definitely worth considering. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe, and just enjoy the sea breeze for a while.
Would definitely come back again for another short retreat.
Great location which just in fromt of East Coast Mall. The room is nice, comfortable and spacious to stay.
I stayed here during Ramadhan, so it’s easy to get food for Iftar at the shopping mall. The hotel also provide Sahur with variety of foods. However, the room can be improved especially in the toilet which got some black stains. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and will repeat again.
The room is bigger than i expected. The service from the receptionist is so so so good, they explained very well about the room and share some suggestions to us for taking a good picture.
The meh thing is the cleanliness is not in top notch service. The toilet bowl is so so so dirty, there is yellow stain a lot! The bath tub also was not in good condition. There is some mold at toilet. Please please please improve this problem. Not to forget that there is spider web at some lamp. For outside of the hotel, there are a lot of goose poop at road. I know the hotel isn’t the new hotel but i hope you will improve the facilities.
For breakfast, i will give 2/5 because the food isn’t hot and the taste is kinda bland also doesn’t have a lot of options.
Please improve the cleanliness thing first ya
We stayed at Chateau Spa, Bukit Tinggi for 4 days and 3 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a truly pleasant and relaxing experience. The resort was peaceful and beautifully maintained, making it a perfect place to unwind and celebrate a special occasion.
The room was clean, and the toilet was well kept, which made the stay very comfortable. The staff service was truly tip-top—everyone was attentive, caring, and clearly prioritised our wellbeing and comfort throughout our stay. Their professionalism and warmth really stood out.
As for the food, breakfast and the buffet were fine, but the à la carte meals for lunch and dinner were definitely worth the money. The portion sizes matched the price well, and there was a good variety of Western and Malay cuisine. We tried the Western dishes, including salmon and steak, and they were delicious.
The spa prices were affordable, though booking in advance is recommended. We visited during the last few days of December, and the weather was cold and lovely, adding to the overall relaxing experience. We left feeling happy, refreshed, and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway or a special celebration.
we stayed at junior suite comprises of 1 queen and super single bed. room was spacious but balcony not so clean. TV cannot change channel.good for short stay
Me and my husband booked this hotel for our staycation before Ramadan start. The price offer affordable with our budget since we went there during school holiday and CNY. We choose superior room which located in front of the pool. The resort are huge/big, a bit classic since the room interior quite oldies. I guess it's true this resort was build on 1987~ somewhere. The resorts well maintain, the staff are welcoming, polite, good PR with guests inquiries. The resort have great access to the beach that you may walk from the room/pool/restaurants. They have 2 pools, the one are surround by the villas/superior room and they have pool theme park (small theme park), require to wear the bands (will provide during check-in), the kids definitely enjoyed playing at the pool so do adults too. The other side of theme park pool, the have pool facing the beach and besids the restaurant, and of course their lifeguard always monitor the guests in pool area. There so many type of rooms you may choose in future. Furthermore, their breakfast menus are satisfied to enjoy, staff that always ready to clean up once guest finished their meal. Overall it's very comfy, nice and beautiful resort to choose for staycation/holiday. Definitely will come again in future.
I stayed 1 night at Grand Darul Makmur Hotel Kuantan during a business trip. The hotel and room size are quite spacious, which was comfortable. The room does look a little old, but overall still fine for a short stay. Breakfast buffet starts at 7am with plenty of food choices, though the taste was just average. By the way, even if you book and pay through Trip.com, you’ll still need to pay a small tax directly to the hotel — in my case, it was RM3. Overall, a decent stay for business purposes.

Very Good
TToshy0719Great beachfront location and fun slides for kids!
We had a lovely family stay at this resort. The location is perfect—it’s right on the beach, and the ocean is just a short walk away. Being able to go between the beach and the pool so easily was a huge plus for us.
The highlight for the kids was definitely the swimming pool. The slides kept them entertained for hours! It’s a great place for families with young children. While we enjoyed our stay, we felt that the dining options could be improved. It would be even better if there was more variety on the menu. Overall, a good choice for a relaxing family beach holiday.

MmrseyzaaaBooking at the same day and last minute, attract from the kids pool and room. Book for one studio room, and when arrive. They said the room is full and they upgrade to family room. My kids love that room so much and so big. Also the cleaness and facility everything is good. My kids got play at kids pool and other pool also.. we have so much fun and memory in here. Definitely will be myfav place whenever i come to genting highland in the future !!
NNur Shahirah ZainuddinI enjoyed my stay here. I appreciate the stylish lobby decor, and the receptionist staff was very polite and friendly. The kids club is wonderful, we played PlayStation and did some coloring. There's a gym nearby, and the toilet at the kids club is spotless. The hotel is extremely kids friendly, and my children loved everything about it. My room was clean, and the housekeeping team did a fantastic job with the cleaning. The breakfast is delicious. ❤
MMystery solvedThe stay was good, clean, and easy access to the mall, casino and sky avenue. However be prepared for a 100m run from the entrance to your hotel room, it is actually wide enough and quite a nice walk 🤭 staff were well trained and attentive to any needs or questions you may have, not sure what amenities the hotel has as there wasn’t any that had directional cues for guests, so I’m guessing there aren’t any? I may be wrong
BBellaMalekThis is a Muslim-friendly hotel, located near eateries and a shopping mall. The breakfast spread was good. The pool is kid-friendly, too. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
TTraveller354Beautiful resort that really makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. The grounds are well maintained and really pretty, the huts are a bit plain, but have what you need.
The rooms do get really warm which I feel could be solved by blocking off the high roof. This would make it easier to clean and make the room a bit smaller for the small air con unit to cool down.
We also had a double hut that connected to another one with a thin door which didn’t lock. Great for families travelling together, but as we did not know the people staying in the other hut, we would have liked the option to lock the door.
The walls are also really thin so we sometimes heard a bit more than what we wanted to hear.
Some of the activities are incredible!
Highly recommend the night jungle walk. The guides are really knowledgeable and managed to spot tiny (and sometimes not so tiny) creepy crawlers for us to see.
The day jungle walk was fun and not too hard. “Easy” jungle hiking.
The boat trip to Lata Berkoh was a waste of time. The boat trip itself is fine, but you get out to look at a big tree, then again at a “fish sanctuary” which is really just a few empty buildings and a guy selling fish food in recycled bottles. You then feed the fish in the river. Finally, the swimming spot is just a different part of the dirty river, with conflicting signs which state it is both safe and unsafe to swim.
The night boat tour was ok. The guides really try to find things for you to see, but it really depends on which animals are out and about.
So all in all, good experience, but recommend looking outside the resort for things to do during the day, we mainly just sat around until the next activity we had booked as it was too hot to do anything and many of the trails were too long to do in between min 3-5km.
Also: note you cannot get to the resort by car! You need to leave it in the parking and take a boat (1RM per passenger) to get to the resort. Not bad, just not something we knew and it took us a while to figure it out in the dark.
Food was ok
TTuraiThis resort exceeded our expectations in every way. As a family of five with two young children and an elderly parent, we were looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, with Mr. Fassirin standing out for his exceptional service.
The boatman also deserves praise for his kindness and patience, particularly when helping our elderly parent with boat transfers. Our beachfront room was perfect for our family, with the beach just a short stroll away. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the outdoor tap for washing off sand and the hammock outside our room.
The village's serene atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. While the food options could be improved, we were overall extremely satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend this resort to others.
AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel and was very impressed with the room. The room is spacious with a studio-style layout, featuring a sleeping area, living space, small kitchenette, and one bathroom. The in-room amenities are nearly complete — it comes with a mini fridge and other essentials, making it comfortable for both short and extended stays.
I booked a sea view room and the view was absolutely stunning. The location is also very convenient, only a 3-5 minute drive to Kuantan city center when there’s no traffic. Finding food is easy too, with several restaurants just a short walk from the hotel.
Breakfast had a good variety and tasted great. The only downsides were that check-in took a bit longer due to a long queue, and parking was a little challenging since it was very crowded, likely because of the weekend. Other than that, there wasn’t much to complain about.
Overall, the hotel offers comfort, complete facilities, and a strategic location. This will definitely be one of my favorite stays whenever I’m in Kuantan.
AAnnabelle2701Good stay, comfortable bed, lovely room, beautiful view with balcony, tasty breakfast. The only thing i hope they improve is the iron & the ironboard. It’s very difficult to use & doesn’t really work well. But overall, everything else is perfect 🎀 1010 recommended! 💗
