Very comfortable, the hotel has a good view, the room facilities are very new, the bedding is dry and comfortable, the room has no smell, I have stayed in many hotels in Sri Lanka, more or less there is a smell, it is the kind of damp and strange smell, but this one does not, So we stayed for 3 days after returning from Lion Rock to slowly feel the beauty of Kandy again.

The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

The environment is great, right next to Kandy Lake, and the hotel breakfast is also very good. The room is spacious, and the value for money is decent. It's convenient for dining and accommodation, close to all the attractions, and you can take a stroll in the evening.

Stay for three nights. The hotel is heritage not recommended for a person who is afraid things stay alone. The location is perfect at the front gate of the temple of tooth relics. However, one male GSA do not respond well as I told him that the telephine is broken, the fridge inside is very hot and the light in the toilet is broken so many times. Until I checked out the telephine is still broken, the fridge inside is still very hot. But the light is fixed by an electrician who was recommended by male maid not GSA.

We loved our stay at the cinnamon citadel. The hotel and the amazing pool were perfect for relax time after sightseeing the area. The view was amazing and calm. The service was impeccable, we enjoyed dinner and music every evening and finally stayed longer than planned.

We chose Hotel Sigiriya due to its proximity to The Lion Rock entrance. Distance from hotel is roughly 8 mins. Please note, it’s advisable to not WALK! Remember to order a tuk-tuk in advance if you plan to climb Sigiriya and watch the sunrise. We left at 5am and paid a return ride of LKR1,500 for two person. Our tuk-tuk driver Chaminda +94 ********* took good care of us -two 50yrs old ladies who successfully climbed the summit. Typical of Ceylonese people the hotel staffs were warm and friendly. Shout out to Tharaka (Reception Manager) who always greeted us with a smile and Shehan Restaurant Manager for entertaining us during our 3 day stay. Our room was a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Good hot shower and acceptable water pleasure. Nice to return to a room that’s been nicely made after 2 hard days of stairs climbing - the Pidurangala (first day) and Sigiriya (second day). Our travel dates were May 31 - Jun 3. Good variety for breakfast buffer - Sri Lankan and Western. The same applies to dinner buffer too. Overall, nice hotel and yes will stay again.

Hotel Suisse carries a colonial charm that takes you back in time. The food is good, offering a fair range of choices. However, the dining experience was slightly marred by some worn napkins. The air conditioning in our room was a bit loud, but it didn't keep us from having a comfortable stay. I might look into other hotels in the area next time to experience something different.

There is a swimming pool in the yard that dares to call it a spa hotel. The two-story villa has four rooms on the upper and lower sides. The room is large and the bathroom is large. It is possible to experience the pastoral scenery and natural scenery.

Looking for a beautiful restored estate home with impeccable service and delicious dining? Choose Taru Villa!  We spent three days exploring Kandy and neighboring region. The hotel is tucked behind some commercial buildings, but once the gates open and you move up the driveway, it all fades away. The hotel is elegant with an attention to details. Each space is carefully arranged to make you feel comfortable.  The staff are what really makes Taru Villa shine. Led by the hotel manager, the staff are welcoming and warm. You couldn’t ask for anything more. The food was excellent. The conversation was even better. We highly recommend to anyone. Well done Taru Villa, well done!

The location is perfect, clean and hot water that warms your body firmly. Staff are also friendly. The room key is difficult to close. However, there was no problem for me because any staff would respond well if they were in trouble. There is also a heating facility in the room, but it only warms up slowly and I can't get out of the futon at night with a heat tech. Long sleeves for winter are essential even in midsummer.
