Limpeza 10/10
A área seca e molhada do banheiro são separadas.
Fizemos o check-in tarde no primeiro dia, quando o Monte Fuji apareceu.
Service staff were efficient, although queueing to trade your keys for your shoes slowed things down. (Understandable, because this is also a day-trip onsen, so the hotel needs to ensure all tabs are covered before letting guests go.)
Facilities were old but well-maintained, although my room window couldn't be closed without force. Wide variety of baths to choose from, and convenient hours.
Note that there is no shampoo, conditioner or body soap in guestrooms, as this is an onsen facility - all soaps and bath amenities are provided in the onsen area.
Several onsite restaurants providing many food options, which made up for the lack of vegetarian-friendly options around the area.
This property offers outstanding value for money, with a prime location that makes exploring easy. The cleanliness is impeccable, and the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. Facilities are well-maintained, featuring beautiful gardens and efficient housekeeping, although the amenities could use some improvement. Wi-Fi is reliable, making it easy to stay connected during your visit.
We came for the playground and closeness to the fruit farms. They playground was terrific, or at least thats what can be interpreted when you need toddlers to do something - anything is agreeable before ‘playground’. Finishing food, brushing teeth are suddenly all ok. The style of the hotel is polished, there’s lounge with premium room bookings, three elevators with space to push in a trolley and 2 strollers(rare in Japan), matches 4.5 star international expectations. We didnt use the hotspring as we came with an infant and toddler. The breakfast was a very nice spread of one section japanese one section western, and a one hour window!
it was a beautiful and clean hotel.i will surely book again in this hotel for my next visit.there is also a restaurant and cafe shop inside the hotel so you can just order from your room and delivered in to your room.
We really enjoyed our stay with our 5 year old
It was a treat to stay in a traditional hotel with Yukata and sleeping on Tatami beds.
The food was absolutely amazing and very delicately prepared. Luckily, we had our own private open air bath, otherwise it was extremely difficult to book any reservations for the onsen and private baths.
By the time we checked in, everything was pretty much fun
Our kid loved the cute kid's amenities kit, feeding the carp and walking through the garden.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay.
Booked the Bao accommodation and our family enjoyed the glamping experience. Inside was cosy and warm, bed was comfy and clean. We checked in quite late, it was going dark and cold, so we did not have much time exploring the place. We ordered the BBQ dinner set and they helped a bit with setting up the BBQ. It was just beside the Bao but we didn't expect it to be so cold and we have to start the fireplace ourselves with wood provided. It was a great experience but I feel it would be better if we went just before winter. Loved the free onsen I went with my daughter but it is a long walk (slightly less than 10mins) from the Bao to it. Would be good if it is nearer as it's pitch dark and cold to walk to it at night.

Great
MmoonfoxsoupWe booked a room with a balcony and could see Mount Fuji right from there (picture 1). Both breakfast and dinner at the hotel were excellent. There are two hot springs. The 'Mantenboshi' on the first basement floor has both indoor and outdoor onsen. The 'Tenbodai' on the second floor is outdoor-only and offers panoramic views of Lake Yamanaka, which is especially delightful when it's not crowded. The hotel is located on a hill, and since we drove, it was convenient to go down to explore the lake. If you don't have a car, you might want to consider your options carefully. Swan Lake Beach is just down the hill.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. We chose a room with windows, and the hotel gave us a corner room, so the front window offered a perfect view of Lake Kawaguchiko, and the side window overlooked Mount Fuji. The hotel also has free hot spring baths, which was a nice bonus. We also booked breakfast and dinner, and they were quite good!
RRomain DannaWe had a wonderful stay at Grand Mercure Yatsugatake as a family traveling with a baby. The hotel is surrounded by nature, with beautiful views of the mountains, which immediately creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere — perfect for families who want to slow down and breathe.
The hotel is very family-friendly. Traveling with a baby can be stressful, but the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everyone was kind, patient, and attentive, which really made a difference for us as parents.
The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with enough space to comfortably stay with a baby. We especially appreciated the peaceful environment at night, which allowed our baby (and us!) to rest well.
The facilities were also well suited for families. The common areas are easy to navigate with a stroller, and the overall layout of the hotel feels relaxed and not overwhelming. The natural surroundings add a special charm and make the stay feel refreshing and rejuvenating.
Overall, Grand Mercure Yatsugatake is an excellent choice for families with babies who are looking for comfort, tranquility, and good service in a beautiful natural setting. We would definitely consider coming back and recommend it to other families traveling with young children.
GGuest UserFor any Yuru Camp anime fans, if you also are interested in an Onsen experience this is the perfect place. The facilities and staff are amazing! I couldn't believe the size of my room, especially after coming from a business hotel in Tokyo. I thought Deluxe Twin was just the ”deluxe” version of a standard single twin size bed room instead of two twin beds but there are no complaints.
Given it's more remote location I was expecting zero English but I was so surprised at how well some of the staff spoke English and had print outs for English speakers. I have to shout out two staff members, Nozomi and Joon Bae's english combined with my limited and grammatically atrocious Japanese they went above and beyond making me understand how everything worked as well as assisting me with my ventures outside of the onsen. They have two e-bikes available for rent which I rode to the next station on the minobu line so I could visit the school that was used in the anime as well as get a taxi to take me to Lake Shibere, from episodes 6 and 7 of season one.
It was my first time in Japan, being the only foreigner at the hotel for the two full days, I only visited the baths once however the facilities are amazing and I plan on going back to use the Onsen more.
RRon_NYanagiya is a nice little local onsen. They do not have too many rooms so you will not feel overcrowded. It is a nice place to spend for days to relax your body and mind.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. They can speak limited English but in case you come across any issue with language, feel free to use translation app.
If you are driving, the onsen is easy to find and there is a carpark in front of the Onsen with plenty of space. There are also 2 x EV charging but not sure if they are for onsen guess.
The room is spacious, clean and tidy. The air conditioner is featured with heater and cooler function, so you don't have to worry about weather during winter and summer.
The hot spring is open for 24 hrs, except time when they swap between male and female access, usually it takes 30 minutes and they take this opportunity to clean up the facilities too.
Food are generally fine and portion is reasonable. Staff are caring d considerate. We have two kids at age of 7 and 9 and they do not take spicy or raw food. When they noticed, they have offered to tailor made the breakfast for the kids so that they don't prepare food that kids do not eat.

GGuest UserI have
Had the best stay at Marriott, from check in to check out, from front staff to restaurant, they all very friendly and helpful! outstanding service!
Hotel facilities are great too, love the outdoor hot spring with snowing view.
Rooms are huge and clean, facing the forest 🌳
Foods are great also, they added a lot of Japanese element to western food. And they were all well-balanced.
Very peaceful, welcoming and comfortable stay! Would definitely come back again with my families.
GGuest UserWe were so impressed when we checked in around 6pm—Mt. Fuji was perfectly clear! The reception staff were very thoughtful, explaining the onsen, activities, and double-checking our booking. They even guided us to the camping site and let us fill bottles with Mt. Fuji’s pure mineral water—so welcoming.
Breakfast and BBQ dinner were excellent, with fresh ingredients and tasty meat. The staff were very helpful during the night-time BBQ—amazing service! The private toilet, shower, and onsen were very clean.
Convenient location near a supermarket, and we even saw Mt. Fuji again when checking out. We’ll definitely come back!
GGuest UserA classic old-school modern hotel with ryokan-type service. The room is huge and has excellent views of the river. On a good day, it should be possible to see Mount Fuji as well. There is also big onsen area with an outdoor bath area.
Dinner is served on the ground floor restaurant and it was a delicious multicourse meal which includes really good wagyu steak with wasabi shoyuzuke. Dessert also includes the region's famed grapes. Breakfast was served buffet style with selection of Japanese and western items.
I drove to the hotel with a rental car. It is not too far from a station on a local line but I recommend driving around to explore instead. The patrons to the hotel also seemed more local.
GGuest UserPerfect stay for an authentic Japanese experience! We loved the building, food, staff and amenities provided. We selected a tatami style room for 4 and it was just the right size, however do note that suitcases are only allowed at the entrance platform of the room and not into the tatami bit due to the nature of the flooring. The hotel breakfast is highly recommended for a great slow and healthy start of the morning! There is also a rooftop area which was a bonus surprise for us as you can view Mount Fuji from there (if it says hi). Above all, the public bath was amazing - we went every day haha
