The Good: You cannot beat the location. Being directly connected to Nagano Station is a total game-changer, especially if you’re hauling ski gear or catching an early Shinkansen. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and the staff is incredibly professional. The Bad: The breakfast buffet is the biggest letdown. While the quality of the food is fine, the menu is extremely repetitive. If you are staying for more than two nights, you’ll find the exact same selection of eggs, bacon, and local sides every single morning. Verdict: Stay here for the convenience and the comfort, but maybe skip the breakfast add-on after day two and explore the bakeries in the attached MIDORI mall instead.

O preço não era tão caro, então não esperávamos muito. No entanto, tudo foi realmente ótimo. Onsen público amplo e limpo. Limpo, hotel agradável, ótima equipe, embora o café da manhã não seja em estilo buffet, mas o café da manhã foi excelente. A uma curta distância da estação terminal de ônibus e trem e da área de compras. Eles oferecem vinho de fluxo livre para os hóspedes durante a noite, nós relaxamos na área do lounge e aproveitamos nossa bebida todas as noites. Provavelmente revisitaremos este hotel novamente.

It was a great experience to stay in this hotel! Very nice view and staff are very polite and willing to answer many questions. Outdoor area is very big that we could take bicycles with kids. Also there are kids outdoor playground that can spend whole day there. 

The hotel is really well situated, less than 10 minutes from the JR station, and on the same street as the Shrine, so there were lots of places to eat nearby. I stayed in a dorm, which had more people than I expected for a room (I think I saw at least 60 bed/lockers) so it was quite loud even at night as people kept walking in and out. The actual bed was fine, and the people at the front took their time to walk me through what to know for the hostel. The lounge is a little awkwardly partitioned, but at least you get a space to use if you need food. The dorm itself, I think has a little too many people to be comfortable but is clean enough. The lights never turn off, but because you have a curtain, it blocks out most of it. The largest issue is the noise, since people are coming in and out at random times of the night, and the buttons to open the door are also quite loud when you're trying to sleep. If you want ear plugs, they have them for a fee at the front. Nagano overall was very nice though, and the location made it a lot easier to get around.

I chosen Cottage A to stay in. While there is nothing much to complain about the cute cottage, personally it is a bit too small for me. But nice environment, good and helpful staff and a very convenient shuttle system to bring you around. You can also call an internal shuttle service that can ferry you from your cottage to the newer West hotel for their buffet breakfast. Otherwise you can eat at the East Hotel for either a Japanese meal set breakfast or a Western style set breakfast. The bread is really good and soft. The outlet shopping mall is accessed by their half hourly shuttle bus and you can do your premium shopping there and eat at their various restaurants or at their food court style food outlets.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. We visited in early November 2025 during the autumn season, and the beautiful foliage added such a romantic touch to the surroundings. I loved the modern interior, the comfortable bed, and the overall room layout. The hotel looks incredibly romantic at night too, especially with the reflections on the pond. The outdoor onsen was a highlight. It felt serene at night, and the maple trees lit up in the evening made it absolutely scenic. The onsen is located in a separate building, so you do have to walk through the cold, but it wasn’t an issue as the hotel provides thicker robes. If I had to nitpick, the indoor slippers weren’t the most comfortable. We drove during our stay, so getting to nearby attractions was easy. There’s a large supermarket and a pharmacy about 5–10 minutes away, which was very convenient — we didn’t even need to visit any convenience stores. This hotel impressed me so much that it made me look up where else Hotel Indigo has branches in Japan!

O pequeno-almoço FOI também recordado após a Hora de abertura. Também Encontrou-se com ele com SUA sopa privada. Estamos no Lugar Da nossa estadia. Não há muitos hóspedes Na loja. A sopa privada é fácil de chegar. 45 minutos de 1,000 yens, que é particularmente amigável para OS hóspedes Da loja. E estadia Na loja é Muito tarde no dia. O hotel está aberto até a cama de noite. Isso é ótimo 👍🏻 Não tenho que fazer nada, posso ligar-me a dormir para mudar de roupa e fazer um BOM sabor. Esta é a melhor noite que tenho no Japão 😆😆 (excepto alguns parfums de Madeira que me fazem sentir um pouco desconveniente)

We liked much the good surrounding in front of the hotel and japanese futons. We booked two japanese style rooms with toilet. Onsen is right there on 2nd floor. It's about 500metres from Kuppa bridge. The staffs were also really nice and kind. We loved their lot of japanese side dishes for breakfast.

A cozy boutique hotel with great access to Karuizawa attractions. - Excellent location in the heart of *Kyu-Karuizawa (旧軽井沢)*, walkable to *Old Ginza Street*, cafes, shops, and St. Paul’s Catholic Church. - Peaceful area, convenient for exploring by foot or car. - Room was clean, stylish, modern interiors with natural wood touches. - Spacious rooms (especially for Japan standard) with comfortable beds and good amenities. - Pyjamas were provided - Friendly, English-speaking staff; smooth check-in/out process.
