"Fiquei um pouco decepcionado com a higiene, pois encontrei pedaços de cabelo e manchas na roupa de cama, embora a equipe da recepção tenha respondido rapidamente ao meu pedido com a troca de um novo conjunto de lençóis, ainda encontrei um pequeno pedaço de cabelo depois que o novo conjunto foi trocado. Além disso, a localização era ótima e a equipe do hotel era amigável."

"Quarto limpo e arrumado, um quarto bem grande para três pessoas. A equipe ajudou a dobrar nossas roupas, o que foi legal. Boa localização, perto dos pontos de encontro dos passeios, e até alguém poderia nos pegar na frente do hotel! Café da manhã brilhante com vários tipos de comida. Tive uma estadia agradável aqui!"

"It was better than we expected, friendly staff, clean amenities, spacious room, kitchen was provided as well, knowing everything is so expensive in Iceland, we can’t avoid to prepare our own food while getting ingredients from supermarket nearby. We’vecaught our first northern light in our life at the hostel nearby as well! Everything seems so perfect!"

"This stay was, to put it mildly, a bug-infested lesson. I stayed for 4 nights. The first two nights were fine, but on the third night, things went south – I started getting bitten by bugs in the room, resulting in red spots all over my body. This wasn't just me being sensitive; these were clearly visible bites that required photographic evidence (which I did take, of both the spots and the bugs). What's even more outrageous is that this wasn't an isolated incident. I later found out that previous guests had reported similar issues, indicating that the hotel has a long-standing problem with hygiene and pest control, rather than a one-off accident. After the incident, the hotel's solution was to arrange a room change. The problem is, what had to happen already happened. The room change felt more like going through the motions than actually solving the issue. Due to hygiene concerns, I personally disposed of some of my clothes and shoes, essentially paying extra for this stay. To summarize: * The room has a pest problem. * Hygiene management is questionable (and seemingly a long-term issue). * The response was delayed and inadequate. * The guest had to bear the additional costs themselves. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, you might gamble on it; but if you don't want to use your body as a test subject, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel."

"Great location we were in the Artisan building which was a few minutes from bus stop 6. The apartment was very clean. Easy access to the apartment without having to formally check in as the door key is held on your mobile device. We had a junior suite which was perfect for our family of 4. However the sofa bed was so uncomfortable. The springs had gone and when 2 people are sharing the bed you end up rolling into the middle. Another 2 pillows for the sofa bed would have been welcomed. Having said that the apartment was clean, the bathroom was of a good size and stocked with L'Occitane toiletries. The shower was perfect. With Iceland being so expensive, the milk, orange juice and cornflakes were perfect for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised when the milk and orange juice was topped up throughout our stay. If the sofa bed was not so worn we would give this apartment 10/10."

"Excelente localização, muito fácil chegar aonde queríamos e precisávamos, especialmente porque reservamos excursões de ônibus para 3 dias. Pudemos ser buscados e deixados no ponto de ônibus nº 1, localizado na Prefeitura, a poucos minutos do hotel. Isso ajudou muito quando estava chovendo. O único ponto negativo foi que o café da manhã começava às 7h, o que é um pouco tarde para quem viaja cedo, então a área do café da manhã estava lotada logo cedo. Talvez o hotel devesse mudar a disposição para permitir que duas filas de pessoas peguem o café da manhã ao mesmo tempo."

"O hotel é grande e tem boas instalações. O quarto parece um pouco antigo, mas ainda está em boas condições. Estive aqui no Natal, então o estacionamento em frente era gratuito. O estacionamento do hotel é um pouco caro."

"Hotel is very clean, location is superb, all amenities within short walking distance, free parking for those who drive and for those who dont city tour bus stops in front of the hotel. Spa facilities are lovely. Would recommend booking option with breakfast as food is pricy in Reykjavik. We went in group of 7, 4 rooms. Only downside was that not all the rooms are hot, some are warm and other hot despite radiators being opened on full. Would highly recommend staying there. Clean, modern and perfectly located hotel"

"Check-in was pretty smooth. I was allocated the room just above the main entrance as such, it can be quite noisy whenever people get in or out of the hostel with the door slamming and some vibration felt! The bathroom and wc are fairly clean and tidy. Very cosy common area to mingle and make new friends. Kitchen has all the basic necessity. I especially like the small area right outside my room where i can have a light meal and nice view of the surroundings. Bought the unlimited bus rides ticket via the Klappid app for travel within the Reykjavik capital city and bus svc 12 is just few steps away. If time permits, you can even walk to the coastal area for sight-seeing. Overall, i am very satisfied with my 8 nights stay at Laekur hostel!"

"A good little hotel that works for a single traveler. Everything is basic but works and rooms look nicely renovated. There's just no elevator for those with a lot of luggage and the windows are very thin so you hear all the noise from the outside especially if you're facing the church."
