We moesten 3 kwartier wachten voordat we in onze hotelkamer konden. Kamer was goed, ruim en zuiver. Helaas wordt er erg bezuinigd op het eenlaags wc-papier
Het ontbijt was niet zo best; de broodjes waren niet voldoende afgebakken dus niet te eten. Ander brood werd te laat aangeleverd op de ontbijttafel. Verder was het erg druk tijdens het ontbijt; er stond een lange rij om bij het ontbijt te komen en veel te weinig plaatsen voor alle gasten. We misten ook een afvalbakje op de tafels, waar je het afval direct in kwijt kunt tijdens het ontbijt.
De afsluitbare fietsenstalling was erg slecht; alle fietsen van Fletcher stonden in de stalling waardoor de gasten geen plaats hadden om diens fietsen te plaatsen. Verder was het dak van de stalling, wat niet meer was dan een container, gescheurd en bij regen waren de fietsen toch doornat.
Er was een zwembad, maar over badjassen is niets aangegeven door het personeel.
Al met al toch een tegenvallend hotel.
I stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is in a good location. It’s close to the train station. The closest park is 6 min walk from the hotel. The amenities can be requested from the front desk. The room is small but sufficient for a one person traveler. The bed is a single bed and quite small. The bathroom is also small. The shower section is partitioned by a glass but it covers only 50%, so the water will splash outside the shower section when you take a shower. The floor is usually wet after a shower. At the lobby, there is a meeting section, you can have a business meeting there. Coffee is also free at the lobby. Recommended for business trip. Not many restaurants nearby, but there are many restaurants in the 10-15 minute walking range.
No nosso quarto, o aquecimento não era bom e os óculos de banheiro estavam muito desligados. Quando anunciamos isso, foram tomadas boas medidas. Isso foi bom. O serviço também era bom e amigável. Comfortable beds and pillows, bathroom had a generous sized walk in shower (very easily accessible for visitors with limited mobility.
Although other guests had alleged issues regarding the renovation works, we were fortunate that this didn’t affect our stay. The hotel appears to have taken onboard earlier reviews mentioning tired decor - we can attest to the fact that the hotel are implementing some significant improvements.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Would love the opportunity to return and see more of the area.
Having stayed in the Netherlands many times over the years, it’s easy to say this was by far my favourite stay - wonderful hotel, perfect location in Arnhem and great food and service - Highly recommended
I enjoyed my stay here,its in a beautiful environment and the staff's are super nice.
My only problem is the balcony needs more cleaning.
Would love to visit again

GGuest UserThe cleaning was not so good. The previous customer's towel was still on the heater. Dust was visible on the table. The espresso machine was clogged because it hadn't been cleaned, so coffee wasn't coming out. None of the 6 coffee machines came out. During check-in, the receptionist was random, but I gave my name, but they said there were no reservations, and that was it. When I gave my first name, they found my reservation. There was often only one person at the reception, despite the large number of customers, and they couldn't keep up with the customers. It seems to be a high-class establishment, but it's a business hotel.

GGuest UserFront desk staff was courteous and professional. The corner room on the ninth floor had a great view. Open bathroom is a little strange and toilet is extremely small. Compared to other van der Valk properties this one ranks much lower than others. Very slow internet, little choice of TV stations, no streaming services etc.

But the hotel couldn't refund the room. Later, after coordination, Trip.com refunded the money. Although I was not satisfied at the beginning, I finally refunded Trip.com , which also protected my rights and interests.

There are two types of rooms: one is a standard large room, which is larger than other hotels, but a little dark; the other is a loft with a higher ceiling, and the bed is on the second floor. The surrounding area is a residential area, and it is still a bit far from the train station if you drag your luggage there, which is a bit awkward. The breakfast is standard, and everything else is good.
