"I am Delightfully Amazed by this renowned famous Banyan Tree Hotel. It is such a Beautifully Constructed Hotel with West Lake like Environment surrounding with Villas giving you a Big Beautiful Chinese style Garden Ambience. I am lucky to get a Free Upgrade to a Villa with Swimming Pools and Jade Dragon Mountain View right in front of Bedroom with a Garden (many thanks to their front office staffs). What impressed me the Most is all their Staffs are so Well Trained on All the Details Focusing on giving you the Best Services that Anyone would ask for. 5 Stars to their Top Management Direction, Management Implementation, All Ground Staffs Dedication to giving World Class Services. Their Restaurant Foods Quality is also very Good and at very Reasonable Pricing for a 5 Stars Restaurant. Do get their Restaurant Breakfast Package which is really Worth it for their Variety and Good Quality Foods. I will highly Recommend this Hotel for anyone that is Visiting Lijiang as even their Location is Perfect at the Middle of the 3 ancient towns so traveling around is within 10-25mins and away from the noisy busy ancient towns. It's my first time spending so much time and efforts to give this honest review because i simply think the Whole Banyan Tree Team deserves it. Impressed, Amazing, Enjoyable, Enchanting, Great Experience, It's a Only Hotel that I will Stay in Lijiang (i cancelled other hotel and extended another 2 more days in Banyan Tree)"

"Just got back from an amazing stay at the Pullman Dali ! First off, the views of Erhai Lake are incredible. Waking up to that every morning was worth the trip alone. The hotel is super modern and everything was spotlessly clean—our room felt like a perfect, comfortable retreat. But the real highlight was the service. A huge shoutout to our room assistant, Tracy! She was so attentive and helpful. For two days, she was basically my personal ”Ask Me Anything” guide for the hotel and Dali. Need a restaurant tip? Ask Tracy. How to work the lights? Tracy knows. Extra pillows? Tracy's on it. She answered every single question and made everything so easy and smooth. If you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable hotel with stunning views and staff who genuinely make your stay better, this is it. Thanks especially to Tracy for making our trip so special! "Dining & Hospitality at Jinmao Purel Yulong — Beyond Expectations The restaurant at Jinmao Purel Yulong truly surprised us — the food quality easily surpasses most restaurants in Lijiang Ancient Town. Every dish was beautifully prepared, fresh, and thoughtfully presented. While prices are slightly on the higher side, the experience, ambience, and ingredients more than justify it. A special shout-out to Luna and Fiona, who took such wonderful care of me and my family throughout our stay. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel completely at home, turning our trip into something truly memorable. Waking up each morning to the majestic view of Yulong Snow Mountain still feels unreal — a sight that lingers long after checkout. If you’re visiting the area, don’t hesitate to dine in and stay here for a couple of nights — it’s an experience that blends nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality in the best way possible. I will be back to this hotel if I ever comes to Yunnan again"

"This is considered quite a premium hotel in the area. It’s very family friendly - the pool seems popular, though if your window faces the ‘inside’ of the hotel you’ll hear lots of noise from it. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and quite new. A good place overall, if a little loud. In all honesty, if you’re a foreign person reading this who can afford to travel to China, I recommend avoiding Xishuangbanna. It’s a very tacky tourist trap of an area. Mostly populated by northern Chinese who have travelled down to hawk cheap and tasteless tourist experiences. Nothing worth seeing, even in the local parks. And everyone smokes here, it’s a little suffocating. I strongly recommend visiting elsewhere in Yunnan province such as Kunming or Dali - nothing to see here."

"One of the most beautiful boutique hotels we stayed throughout our trip, this impeccably designed and maintained accommodation is very nature and antique themed, with a garden outside the room and dozens of tiny and large antiquities throughout. The highlight of course, are the owner’s three adorable and friendly cats who will come and let you pet and hold them. The rooms itself were also very beautiful, facing the Erhai Lake and you will get the chance to see the sunrise from the room. The owner was also extremely helpful in providing itinerary suggestions and helped us to book a driver straight to our next destinations and sorted out all the logistic issues with our next hotel. Highly recommend for the beauty of the hotel and the generosity of the owner and staff!"

"The environment - The view from the lakeside room truly is stunning. If you're lucky enough to visit on a clear day, you can enjoy panoramic views of Fuxian Lake right from your room. Facilities - The room facilities are comprehensive. On the first day, the showerhead made a strange noise, but it was fixed quite promptly. The 24-hour gym, accessible with your room card, is a thoughtful touch. The indoor kids' play area is a bit small and not really suitable for a 6-year-old, so my child barely played there. Hygiene - No complaints, definitely up to standard. Dining - My only minor gripe is with the buffet dinner. For two nights, not a single dish changed, and there was no Chinese food section. There was also no salad at dinner, which was quite odd. However, the desserts were very abundant, and some of the dishes tasted pretty good. Overall, I would still recommend staying here when visiting Fuxian Lake."
