"I have to say this is one of the best hotels that I have ever visited. The hotel room is dustless, very clean. The location is very strategic, less than 5 minutes walk to go to Todak waterfront to enjoy seafood, or another 5 minutes walk in opposite direction to go to Suria mall for shopping. The staff here are friendly and dedicated in their services.After checking in, the staff gave me a call to ask me whether I am happy with the condition of the room. The breakfast is awesome, many varieties and very tasty. I am a demanding person, but this hotel does not disappoint me. It should be a role model for other hotels to follow."

"Easy to communicate with the host. Check-in and check-out were quick and hassle-free. The room price was very reasonable for the location and the number of beds provided. It suited our small family perfectly.
The Shore Kota Kinabalu is centrally located, making it easy to get to nearby shops, restaurants, and other attractions. Parking is not free, but the price was still acceptable for us.
As mentioned in many reviews, the elevator issue is quite serious. We avoided using it during peak hours, which helped a lot. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and enjoyed it."

"I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Hilton Kota Kinabalu. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, and I truly appreciated their kindness and understanding in allowing us to check in early without having to wait until 1:00 PM, especially considering my child needed proper rest after undergoing surgery.
The hospitality shown by the team made a challenging situation much easier for our family, and for that, I am sincerely grateful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment for recovery.
The breakfast was absolutely excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options and great quality food. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kota Kinabalu. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable."

"Pros:
Location: It's not in the busiest area, but the main attractions are within walking distance.
Room: My 8th-floor room faced the river, offering a peaceful environment and a beautiful sunrise view in the morning. The room came with a basic kitchen and utensils, allowing for cooking. There's also a pool and gym available on the 4th floor.
Customer Service: The customer service was quick to respond to issues like internet problems, and providing bottled water and toilet paper. However, items I asked staff to deliver to my room (like bottled water) were significantly delayed. Self-check-in was convenient, and no deposit was required.
Suggestions:
Provide bottled water upon check-in (my friend, who booked an SCSP apartment with another company, had 10 bottles already in their room upon arrival).
Add clearer instructions for the hot water switch in the bathroom (I had to ask customer service to find out where it was).
Room cleanliness needs improvement; the sofa was dusty. I suggest arranging for cleaning during longer stays."

"Check in was really smooth and the location is great for walking the city but the noise of the traffic is heavy into the night. So bring ear plugs for your stay. The bathroom was in quite a poor condition, floors not very clean and, the rooms in general more worn than shown on the photos."

EElvira AkhatovaAn incredible place that makes you want to return again and again! Waking up every morning to such a view is a true dream. The sunsets here are simply magical, and the sea is clean, warm, and inviting.
Our villa wasn't new, but it had absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay. Special thanks to the administrator, who was always reachable and promptly helped resolve any household issues.
This place gave us wonderful memories and a feeling of complete relaxation. If we get the chance, we will definitely come back here again!

AAnonymous UserIf you are in the area to visit the KKIP industrial zone, the Klagen Regency is perfectly positioned. It is located quite a distance from the main town center, which may seem remote at first, but it is a strategic advantage if you want to avoid a long daily commute to your work sites.
The hotel itself is impressively well-kept. It’s clear that management prioritizes maintenance, as the rooms and common areas feel fresh and clean. The service is equally commendable; the staff are helpful and ensure a smooth, professional experience from check-in to check-out.
Sorry I does not have the photo of the room because I am there for a business meeting but the room is okay to stay. Buffet Breakfast is good, also you can find very nice local food with walking distance .

ZZhenni2020The room interiors are nice, and the sea views and sunsets are absolutely stunning. However, there's barely any beach; it's mostly grassy areas with sea views and sunsets. The breakfast is quite perfunctory – only five or six types of meat, all chicken, with no beef or seafood. This definitely doesn't justify the 3,000-per-night room rate. The seascape is very beautiful. The Horizon lounge room is small and just average. Breakfast is not very good, only chicken, no seafood, it doesn't match the room charge.

KKT5009Don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season. It's from Sep to Feb. I said 3 times it's important if you don't wanna ruin your holiday. We booked 3D2N in mid Sep. Our holiday turned out to be a staycation nightmare in the resort. We can't do all the water activities neither the jungle trekking. The water heater in our room is not working, we have to shower with shivering cold water in this kind of weather. Lots of big size anta inside the room crawling from the bathroom to the bedroom. Make sure you cleaned up for your snacks and drinks, tie up the garbage bag if you don't want these insects to come to your bed, There is also a landslide happening on our first night, luckily we are not affected as we stayed in the ocean villa. There is only one restaurant in this resort, food prices are the same as SG restaurant pricing, no cheap option here. In room dining needs to pay RM25 extra. Staff service is good but this cannot cover the several run down part of the resort.

SShanyouzhenI chose this hotel for a one-night stay before heading to the overwater bungalow the next day. Although the room facilities were a bit old, they were very clean. There's a convenience store right downstairs, and it's very close to the pier. The sea breeze was a bit loud at night, but the breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

LliangWe stayed in the Ocean Wing. The room was very spacious, but the facilities were a bit old. The plunge pool on the balcony was large, but a bit dirty. Both the swimming pool and the beach were great. The restaurants require advance reservations, which felt a bit like a 'scarcity marketing' tactic. The Italian restaurant wasn't good and the environment wasn't clean. Breakfast was just average, and so was the service. In contrast, the Japanese teppanyaki was excellent, with warm service and good food. The free airport shuttle was a nice touch, but it only runs twice a day, in the morning and evening. The front desk service was very enthusiastic, and they even gave us a local specialty necklace and welcome drinks. Overall, it's a good place for a vacation.

GGuest UserOverall, our stay was very good – actually, better than expected! We had a lovely balcony with a nice view. The pool itself was nice – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful. After we checked out, we accidentally left some clothes in the washing machine, and they kindly recovered them for us. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference!
Downstairs, there are plenty of food options, so you’ll never go hungry.
I’d definitely recommend this place for couples or small families looking for a comfortable, well-located base. Great value for money.

The front desk service is thoughtful, and they support WeChat communication, offering great value for money. The only downsides are that the breakfast selection is simple and the facilities are quite basic. If you're looking for a luxurious experience, you might want to consider other options. However, it's perfect for travelers primarily focused on island hopping who prioritize convenient accommodation.

HHotel Reviewer/Influencerfirst is the floor, it is sticky, it is sticky in the room and also at the gathering or public area where we take our meals. Next is the issue with the toilet, the shower head is broken, it's leaking and the water is too strong and thin, it is hurting me when i try to bathe. Thirdly, the floor mat is dirty and too thin, it is not absorbing water as it should. Fourth, the floor also has a lot of dust and sand. Fifth, the hotel does not have enough electrical plug, we only have two plugs and it is on the most left of the bed, it is better if it is in the middle of both beds. Sixth, the air conditioner is too weak for a room with 3 people, it is hot even at night. Seventh, the music is too loud, i cannot even rest properly at night, you can prepare earplugs at least. Eighth, the gathering or public area is too hot because there is no fan, please prepare some ceiling fans so guests can dine properly. Ninth, should have a table for a big room at least. the floor is wide enough, but it is so dirty that we do not dare to sit on the floor to play games or cards, we also do not want to play games or cards at the gathering or public area because it is too hot and loud. Tenth, rubbish in the sea or hotel area, i saw a huge pile of rubbish such as bottled water, food container, plastic bag just floating in the sea in the resort.
Here are some good things about the hotel, first, very nice scenery, the water is nice and clean in the morning. Secondly, the balcony area for each room is nice because we can look at the scenery while sitting on the chair and resting. Thirdly, the staff is very friendly and very responsible, they do their work fast, they carry our luggage, refill food fast, and are very nice. Fourthly, the overall atmosphere of the hotel is very comfortable. Fifth, the food is ok, breakfast is ok, it is not the best but it is edible, the dinner is the best, and the seafood is a very nice touch. Sixth, we can dry our wet cloth on the balcony too.
Overall i give it a 2 out of 5 stars. The price of your hotel does not match the pros and cons of your hotel. I would not want to stay in the hotel another day if the problems still stay the same. Please do your best to improve better.
