"This was my second visit to this large onsen hotel, and I noticed that the staff’s English has improved, which we really appreciated. We were especially thankful that they prepared our futons with two layers, thanks to that, we had no trouble sleeping on the tatami this time. Our room was on the 11th floor, but unfortunately, there wasn’t much of a river view unless we stepped out onto the balcony and leaned over to look down. Instead, the view was of an old, closed-down, partially demolished hotel, which was a bit disappointing. Their rooftop onsen offered a beautiful mountain view, which made up for it to some extent. However, there were no bathing amenities such as shampoo and conditioner available there. It seems like they expect guests to experience the onsen on the first and another floor for showering and washing up. Their buffet offered a wide variety of food, but the steak was too tough, the sashimi felt soggy and the tempura wasn’t crispy at all"

"Vamos a Nasu todos os anos em uma viagem em família com 2 adultos e 2 crianças. Reservei um quarto barato de estilo japonês neste site, mas o hotel me ofereceu um upgrade para um quarto de estilo ocidental com antecedência e fiquei grato em aceitar. Usei-o logo após a reabertura, por isso nem é preciso dizer que estava limpo, mas tive a impressão de que a localização, a decoração interior, a resposta e o serviço eram muito rentáveis ​​considerando a tarifa do quarto. "first of I would like to thanks always trip.com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel,because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme,the carpet,the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design,etc.or cherry blossom in Japan,& so very affordable prize,we spend only 18,000 yen for 2 adults,with 2 breakfast & 2 dinner.Very near from kinugawa onsen station,only 3 hrs.from Tokyo.We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize,can accomodate even 10 person,the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour,like beer,japanese wine,sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the outdoor spring because of the concrete stairs,especially for the elderly when slippery,there's & a little bit far from our room,the young staff also at the counter is nice & most of them are young japanese lady,so very entertaining,so many free amusement like billiard,majong,etc.with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site.& last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip.com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan"

"Environment: It's about a 10-minute walk from Kinugawa Station. There's a small hill where pushing luggage can be a bit difficult; you can contact the hotel for a shuttle service. Unlike most Kinugawa onsen ryokans, it's not located right on the river, which is a bit of a shame. Cleanliness: Excellent. Facilities: First, the large public baths have alternating men's and women's baths, each with its own unique features. There are sleeping baths, cream baths, and saunas. The overall design is very reasonable and simple. The rooms are large, easily accommodating at least four people, and include both Western-style beds and Japanese-style tatami mats. The rooms are large and quite new, without the usual musty smell of older hotels. The window view is just average, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Dining: We had two meals during our stay. Dinner and breakfast were both deluxe kaiseki cuisine, which was delicious and photogenic—five-star quality. It ranks among the top three kaiseki meals we've had at onsen. Service: Excellent. The Vietnamese lady who greeted us spoke Mandarin, and the restaurant manager, a lady from Guangdong, explained the dishes in great detail. Overall, the service was excellent."

"Foi muito bom ter um banho ao ar livre no quarto ^_^ Há sauna no banho público, e fiquei impressionado com a vista espetacular do espaço balnear ao ar livre. O buffet também foi delicioso e ótimo! Quero ir de novo ^_^"

"The exterior of the hotel is pretty, but the interior of the hotel is dated and needs a bit of updating. There were parts of the hotel that were completely shut down (maybe there are saving up enough money to one day renovate). However the facilities and rooms are well maintained and the onsens are beautiful and peaceful. There are 2 main onsens, that are separated by men and women. Each day the onsens are switched, in the morning you will go to one, and in the evening before dinner you can experience the other onsen. Onsite there is a really nice restaurant and gift shop that featured local products at reasonable prices. There is a 24 hour coffee/tea station that is free to use. It's a short 10 minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When you arrive they provide you a yukata to wear while you are staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious with options for a western bed or japanese style (sleeping on the floor). We opted for the western bed to be higher off the ground as we thought it would be colder to sleep on the ground. Although the rooms are very well heated and was a bit too warm, that we needed to open the window to cool the room down. The rooms have nice views of the countryside. They provide a pitcher of ice water in the room and you can go to the front desk to refill with ice if more is needed. The bathroom is quite large and has both a shower and toilet in a separate room of the bathroom; although we mostly bathed in the onsen. There is a 7-eleven nearby that was open 24 hours, but otherwise there isn't much else around the hotel. Also the town of Kinugawa Onsen closes quite early, around 8pm it's quite deserted. We were there at the end of November 2024, and it seemed that the hotel was mostly unoccupied, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a very nice one night stay."

"Honestly, given the low price that provides 2 meals and onsen experiences, I think it is quite good for value, but of course the building is very old and rather broken (although it is still usable). But then, it will take an hour to go to Nikko and the surrounding area isn't interesting to visit, just to stay in this hotel is not a very good option especially if you want to go hiking in Nikko."

"今評判のオールインクルーシブ!土曜日の宿泊でしたが色々な遊び場やプール施設も広くてゆったりしていて混雑をさほど感じませんでした。食事会場が一ヶ所で料理を取る動線に問題があるのか並ぶ時間がありましたが少し早めに会場入りしたのでなんとかなりました。温泉もとても良かったです。子供の入力ミスがあり前もって連絡をTrip.comよりいただき助かりました。ありがとうございました。"

"The buffet, public bath area, room, staff and etc. are all perfect!!! Especially the game center, swimming pool and the musical performance at the night. You can simply spend a few days in the resort! It is close to the attractions so the place is perfect!"

"A lovely hotel with a great onsen. Traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious! Not much going on around the hotel though restaurant-wise, it’s definitely easier coming with a car."
