Just across the parking area, there's a 24-hour convenience store called Obentou Hirai offering ready-made bentos, hot meals, brames, and udon extremely convenient for late-night snacks or quick meals.
The resort location is accessible actually by bus from tateno 立野 station and the last bus is in the evening you may check the timetable online. We did not drive and leaving the accommodation is less convenient because all taxis were booked out but the staff was very friendly as to driving us to the nearby train station to continue our journey to Aso Volcano.
Service was good. The private onzen was amazing and we were able to use it for one hour. The public bath was good too but the amenities they provided inside were not as enough, eg they don't have comb for ladies and make up removing pads. Other than that, cleanliness was amazing and staff were friendly, rooms had amazing Mountain View's.
The hotel is not a fancy one, but the staff members (mostly elderly ladies but one or two of them have very good English) are all very nice. Its award-winning food service is definitely a must-try here, especially the dinner as it comes with sunset view. We were lucky to be arranged a window seat and was able to enjoy the beautiful sunset while eating the delicious kaiseki dinner. Breakfast is also very nice. And because it’s not your typical touristic destination, you are getting a very good value for money.
The onset was good in that hotel as it had both rooftop and open pool and I found that the water healed my painful water. The room looked a bit old to me but I guess I could have chosen a modern look. The hotel receptionist was kind to recommend us where to go for dinner. I think it is one of the best hotels if you stay near Mt Aso.
Solid hotel. Close to the airport, decent facilities, quiet atmosphere and nice service. I recommend trying the hot springs. Bring a towel there with you!

Very Good
GGuest UserRoom is big & clean. Pillow not very comfortable. The shower room is small, good to have a shelf to put toilette. Staff are very friendly. They tried their best to communicate with us. Breakfast & dinner spread is very good. But almost similar range after 3 nights can be a little overwhelming. Onsen is good.

GGuest UserFrom the hotel entrance, the friendly guidance, the room was spacious and clean, the amenities were good, and the bathroom and bathtub were separate, so I was able to sleep without being disturbed, which was great. Also, the hot spring water was really good, and the breakfast was also really good. I think I will visit again next time. 😊
EElena-sanThe hotel is okay, but quite old and outdated, so I'd say it should be cheaper for what they provide.
Location is perfect for an overnight before your flight though. Stuff is friendly and helping, also they gift you a tasty ice cream. Hot bath also looks old, but it's a nice addition to relax before sleep, you can even watch the stars late evening in onsen. You can see the mountains from your window and lots of green houses)
Breakfast cost is 1500 jpy, I didn't use this option.
Overall everything was okay, but I believe they need to renovate rooms.

GGuest UserThe hotel is responsible for free pick-up and drop-off and the service is very kind. It can be seen that the hotel has been around for some years and there is no elevator, but the enthusiastic staff will take the initiative to help carry the luggage. There are 5 bathing seats in the large bathing area, which is slightly insufficient. When we take a bath, there is a shower head that is broken. It can squeeze one for 2 people. The girl behind has to wait for the family room. It is enough for one person, and up to 2 small couples are crowded. There are many pools in the big bath, and there is a mixed soup that can see the waterfall by the river. The scenery is good. The hotel is a bit far from the main hot spring road. I walk slowly. It takes half an hour to go back and forth.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent, the rooms are spacious, and the breakfast offers a great variety. The service is superb, and it's very conveniently located. It's probably the most luxurious hotel in the area, complete with indoor and outdoor hot springs!
GGuest UserThe hotel is located on the plateau plains, with fresh air and beautiful scenery nearby. However, the location is relatively remote and suitable for self-driving travelers. It is very close to Aso Volcano.
I stayed in the new hotel. Because it had just been renovated, the room was relatively large. The decoration of the room was very new and the layout was simple. The scenery outside the balcony was beautiful. It was a comfortable stay.
The front desk clerk is a foreigner, easy to communicate with and polite. When I asked if there was a room with a private hot spring pool that we could upgrade to, the waiter took the initiative to arrange a family bath for me to enjoy for free during our designated time period. This Very thoughtful.
The buffet dinner and breakfast provided by the hotel were average. The food was not rich in variety and not hot enough. This was the only thing that disappointed us.
EEmily_pealThe hotel facilities are good. It’s a small resort hotel. It’s far away. I took the triangle line from Kumamoto to the Delta. I wanted to take a ferry to get to the hotel. But when I asked about the ferry, I had to wait for more than an hour. I called a taxi. The hotel is 4,500 yen. The lounge chairs and hot springs on the balcony of the room are comfortable, the blue sea and blue sky hot springs, I really enjoyed it, and the dinner and breakfast are both Western-style. I like it very much. When I booked, I knew that there were dolphins nearby. However, when I asked Ctrip to ask if I could arrange to watch dolphins at sea, I was told that there was none. When I arrived at the hotel, I found that there are not only discounts, but also hotel guests can also have discounts, but because I was told that I could not arrange them, I had already booked through other channels, so I did not enjoy the discounted fare, which is not satisfactory.
