We started our final China trip form Ürümqi followed by Turpin and Dunhuang. While our hotels there were reasonable, we felt really comfortable when we stayed at at a Club floor room at Sofitel Xining. Their service was one of the best we have experienced during our seven China trips so far. We enjoyed the comfort and the staff’s dedicated service. Thank you.

JJamesHarrisI will start off by saying that the room and bathroom were well appointed, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. However, whilst the room was generally clean, when I dropped something that subsequently rolled under a fitted unit, I was pretty disgusted to see the dust and filth beneath it. It clearly had not been cleaned for…well…ever? I appreciate that these areas will not be as clean as the more visible parts of the room, however for a five star hotel, this is unacceptable. I do not expect to find dirty tissues and a thick layer of dust and dirt anywhere in my hotel room. But by far the absolute worst part of my stay was the inability to control the temperature in the room whatsoever. The room was so swelteringly hot that despite the comfortable bed, and everything to go with it, I was almost unable to sleep at all. I do not expect this in a five star hotel(and have never experienced it other than here and at anther Wanda hotel in Hohhot), I pay for luxury; controlling the room temperature is a basic requirement that I can even do in a 50 yuan a night hostel dorm. When I asked the staff at reception the following morning I was told the AC wouldn’t be available until after April 15th because ‘it’s cold outside’. Firstly, I am not sleeping outside, I am sleeping inside, on the 22nd floor, where it is anything but cold. Not to mention it was April, not January, even in Xining it is not that cold. Secondly, as a paying guest, in a five star hotel, it should be up to me to decide if it is hot or cold, not the hotel. For this reason, as lovely as the room, staff and breakfast may have been, I would not stay here again. I checked out and moved to the lower rated Hilton, where I could control the room temperature and actually managed to sleep…generally what the whole point of a hotel is.

GGuest UserThe staff, from the ladies cleaning to the folks at check-in, were all very wonderful: polite, helpful, and very professional! The room was very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful selection of both Western and also Chinese breakfast foods. Our family ate both and enjoyed them very much! The pool facilities were very nice and the kids enjoyed playing in the water very much. We thank the staff for such a great stay and definitely recommend this hotel!

AAnonymous UserThe Sofitel Residences, despite being ten years old, are still well-maintained. Having a washing machine, fridge, and induction hob makes it convenient to cook a little something. However, the hairdryer and toothbrushes could use an upgrade. The customer service staff are very well-trained. Xiao Quan at the front desk was incredibly thoughtful; hearing we wanted to stir-fry vegetables, she specifically helped us buy a wok! The hotel's location is excellent. The breakfast at the Western restaurant looks a bit dated, but the selection is quite rich. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. Recommended!

GGuest UserThe hotel is centrally located, facing the central square. Room windows offer stunning views of Xining's city center. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, including a large Sharp TV. The bathroom is spacious, with separate wet and dry areas and a TOTO automatic flush toilet. The lobby counter is stocked with bottles of mineral water and a variety of fruit for guests to enjoy, a truly impressive touch. The breakfast is plentiful and high-quality. The staff are especially welcoming, proactively inquiring about service needs and offering recommendations, a truly valuable touch. The front desk staff are equally proactive and service-minded. The front square is spacious, with free parking, and the security guards are friendly and attentive. A gas station is just around the corner in the alley next to the hotel, making refueling very convenient.

BBingmeishibiremeishihaoheWe were transiting in Golmud. The hotel we booked at first was not very good, so we changed to Hilton. We just looked at the reviews and decided. We thought there would be no star-level hotels in Haixi Prefecture, but the Hilton in Golmud exceeded my expectations. The lobby reception breakfast and guest rooms are all five-star standards, with full marks for details. It is also one of the few hotels with air conditioning. Takeout can be delivered to the door. There is free parking in the underground garage. The breakfast is great. The front desk lady is also very beautiful. The bathroom sanitary ware is also high-standard Duravit and Grohe. The water flow is large and the water pressure is stable, the hot water is sufficient, and there is no sewer smell. The bedding is also very good, the usual King Koil series is comfortable and easy to sleep, which relieves the fatigue of the Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop. I will stay here again if I have the chance. Beautiful Haixi Prefecture, perfect Hilton.

The new hotel has a little smell, but it is fine once the fresh air system is turned on. The breakfast is not suitable for southerners, it is simple and not suitable for this star rating.

TTuaojiaoThe room was booked on the 11th floor, which was really comfortable. The hotel was like a different world from the outside world. The heating was really good. A fruit plate was also given. The waitress sent it to the door of the room. The hotel is in a good location with beautiful surroundings. Parking is convenient. The room is clean and tidy. The front desk service is very good, especially the front desk staff Xiao Guo and Xiao Guan. The service is warm and gives people a warm feeling! Everyone is very polite and smiling. Anyway, it is bigger than the 400-a-night homestay in a small county next to Beijing. There is breakfast, and the staff are polite. It is not like a pigeon cage, and it is especially like a star hotel. It is high-end and upscale. I recommend staying here! By the way, the mineral water in the hotel is also delicious~

GGuest UserThe hotel just opened not long ago, in the town of Kanbula, very close to the east gate of Kanbula National Geopark. The facilities are all new and the layout is grand. The hotel staff is very welcoming. The room is large, clean, hygienic and quiet. The hotel has its own yard for parking (there are underground first and second floors, I don't know if it is an underground garage). There is a small cultural square opposite. I enjoyed a bonfire Guozhuang dance upstairs in the hotel that night, but it ended early because of the rain. The hotel has its own restaurant. I was too lazy to go out to find a restaurant, so I simply solved the dinner in the hotel. The taste was good. The breakfast was also good.

GGuest UserThe Minhe Bow Deer Hotel is the room I have stayed in. The room is spacious and bright, clean and tidy, and the service attitude is excellent and impeccable. The bedding is definitely a five-star standard. Lying down is like being wrapped in clouds, and sleeping well until dawn. The wet and dry separation of the bathroom is done very well, the bathroom facilities are high-end brands, the water pressure is sufficient, and the hot water comes quickly. The sound insulation of the room is also very good, and the sound of the corridor or next door is completely heard.
