Great place right in the middle of the happening area that is the West Street. Staff was great and helpful. The room was also clean and comfortable. Design of the hotel was great too, stylish and modern. Certainly value for money and would recommend.

Hotel Review: A Wonderful Stay at SYYF Li River Courtyard Hotel! I recently had the pleasure of staying at SYYF Li River Courtyard Hotel, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness of my room—spotless and well-maintained, it felt welcoming and comfortable. The hotel’s location is another highlight. Nestled in a vibrant area, it’s just a short walk to a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops, making it incredibly convenient to explore the local scene. Whether you're looking for a cozy café or a lively nightlife spot, everything is within easy reach. One of the standout features of my stay was the hotel restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with an emphasis on local cuisine that truly showcased the flavors of the region. The beautiful views from the restaurant added an extra layer of enjoyment to each meal, making it a truly memorable dining experience. Additionally, my room offered stunning views as well, allowing me to wake up to breathtaking scenery each morning. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches provided by the hotel, such as complimentary tea upon arrival. It was a lovely way to unwind after a long journey. The amenities in the room were also impressive, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, I highly recommend SYYF Li River Courtyard Hotel to anyone looking for a clean, well-located hotel with excellent dining options featuring local food, beautiful views, and thoughtful amenities. HOW TO REACH: The local name of this hotel is “Wang Jiang” tower or building. This helps if you are traveling from Yangshuo Railway Station by taxi. I traveled with my friends – 3 families (with kids), and we are non-Chinese. Typically, several taxis are available at the exit of Yangshuo Railway station. Someone approached me who can speak English – so took a 10-seater. The cost is about RMB 20~25/person & takes about 40 minutes. ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The balcony view helps, depending on which side the room is located on. I chose the front side view, which has both a river view and a mountain view. HOTEL: Although the hotel doesn’t have a lift, the staff delivered the luggage to the room. If you need help at the time of checkout, they may help. But I did it on my own at the time of check-out. It is conveniently located close to West Street (10 min walk). HOTEL-RESTAURANT: very good restaurant in 1F (vegetarian options as well!). It is very popular among the locals & we liked it too. But it gets very busy during the weekends. So, if the room is close to 1F, it will be loud till ~ 22:00. HOTEL STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to help foreigners. Many staff can speak English. In my case, YAWEN is worth mentioning, as she helped us a lot in planning our local trips. Even before arriving at the hotel, we had a plan. But our interactions with YAWEN (& her feedback) made it very convenient & time-effective for us. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: It is possible to book tickets for the Ruyi scenic spot, Silver Cave, Hot air balloon, Li-river cruise (from Yangshuo), Xinping (hot air balloon), Bus-trip to Longji Ricefields, & many more at the hotel.

What a wonderful experience for us all as a family. When we saw the room, we instantly felt comfortable. Their warm welcome made us feel like home. We can't wait to come back again and will surely recommend to friends and family. Their fresh breakfast was so enjoyable, made from fresh ingredients and also allowing us tourist to enjoy local foods and they were all delicious! We received cute keychains as gifts for my boys and they loved ut. So thoughtful of them. Thank you so much for giving us a beautiful experience.

A truly magnificent stay - highly recommend Even before I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I received a message the day before my reservation to call the hotel. When I called, they asked if they could send me a message on Wechat as they didn’t speak English. The staff simply wanted to know my eta so that they could turn the a/c on in the room to cool it down before I arrived. The hotel is more of a BnB set up than a hotel - similar to a house design. The building is 5 stories high with I guess around 4 rooms on each floor. This makes it perfect to escape the large tourist groups which frequent bigger hotels. When the taxi pulled up outside on the day of my arrival, 2 staff members rushed out to welcome me. Check-in was quick and they told me that they had upgraded me to a bigger room. They also asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day as they had some different ‘Western’ options (think Chinese idea of Western but still okay). I was able to have toast and fried eggs every day. The room is really exquisite - I came alone but would definitely recommend for couples as the bathtub is heavenly. The two balconies offer beautiful views of the karst mountains. The room is also tastefully done up in wicker and white. And the bedding is luxurious. My only recommendation for the room is to add some sachets of instant coffee. The pool is perfect for a cool down and what a spectacular view from the loungers! I swam every day and every day while sitting by the pool, the staff brought me some refreshing lemon water to drink. In addition, every day of my stay they brought me something: day 1 - fresh watermelon and some blueberry thing (candy?), day 2 - baby tomatoes and more blueberry things day 3 - apples and peanuts. On checkout, they prepared a local snack and water bottle for the trip home. The staff at this hotel really go the extra mile and just about bend over backwards to serve you. It’s been a long time since I have seen such eager staff and it makes for a very pleasant change from bored receptionists on their phones. I cannot rate the hotel highly enough for their excellent hospitality service. The location is also perfect - away from the main ***** but an easy 15 minute walk to the river rafts and another 5-10min to the ‘town’ and a variety of eating options. That’s when you turn left when you get to the main road from the hotel (5min walk). Turn right at this road and you can comfortably walk (30 min?) to some other sites like the one with the hole in the mountain (overrated) and an exquisite cave - Dragon cave. If you like caves and the formations within I highly rate this cave. It is truly gorgeous. You can also rent bikes or a scooter 10m in front of the hotel. The staff do not speak English but they communicate via WeChat and are more than happy to help with anything. Overall a truly wonderful stay and cannot recommend enough! Thank you JingYunge

Booking and Check-In I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy. Room Details We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. Facilities and Services The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it. Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew. Location and Accessibility The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo. Customer Service The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay. Overall Experience The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo. However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness. In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

We stayed here for 3 nights, from 27-30 Nov, our longest for the 15 days Guangxi trip. We booked here cos it is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel. There is more effort to maintain the non-smoking rule but there still lapses. Some staff are understanding and make and effort while others are pretty nonchalant, with one trying to argue with my wife that the guests can smoke in the lobby. The room is fine and there is free afternoon snacks in a nice lounge. Location is quite centralised with some eateries nearby. Breakfast prob 2nd best for this trip with coffee available. There is no lift so a llttle bit of stairs climbing to reach the reception and rooms.

This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. As a solo traveler, I do feel that it’s good for one night to experience that design and pampering space. There are bus tour groups which go there and seem to work well with the KTV, Buffet meals, and lounging areas. From my trip, I stayed for two days after the Chinese Qixing Festival. It was really nice to arrive and have access to the teatime snacks and desserts as well as the wonderful architecture and furniture design. The outdoor pool is nice, however the indoor pool charges 50 yuan because they offer drinks and snacks. The only drinks and snacks they offered were juice boxes and some fruit. One employee told me that there were cocktails available. The exercise room and yoga room were set up very nice. The shower rooms very clean. I would not pay for the indoor swimming pool in my opinion based on the drink/snacks. The bar that is advertised from some user photos does not exist. Some employees said it was open, others said not. Management can communicate that better, as a lush hotel should have a solid lounge. The tea lounge does not have any alcohol drinks available, but rather decoration of wine bottles. The design is gorgeous though. One employee told me that they ran out of alcohol due to holiday, and another employee told me that there was a bar open which really was not. I simply went to get my own spirits when I wanted a cocktail (made in my room). Other than that, everything in the hotel was fine. My room was really lovely with the exception of the fact that you cannot go out on the balconies and there is a smoke smell from the carpet. The hotel gladly gave me a an air purifier to help alleviate the smell. My opinion is that the power should be sat on before a guest checks into their room. I had to change the filter over the two days. It did not appear that the KTV was open (maybe epidemic), I decided to go hang out in town, but enjoyed the Victorian flair when relaxing. Overall, the comfort, bathing, and relaxation was great. The breakfast is really delicious, and the service of the employees all around was impeccable despite the fact that they could not offer all of the amenities. It seems an OK place for families/photos as well since the property is unique. The 50 yuan for tea time was probably the most valuable, and the room service staff are detailed. The butler/reception very professional, Ayi staff amazing. Transportation quite easy.

A simple courtyard that combines age and modernity is located at the foot of the beautiful Moon Mountain. You can see Moon Mountain through the window. Adjacent to Julongtan, Big Banyan Tree, Yulong River Scenic Area, etc., the karst landform is a sight to behold at a glance. A boutique Chinese-style B&B that not only retains the simplicity, elegance and beauty of rural areas in northern Guangxi, but also incorporates modern and comfortable design. Highlights of the B&B: There is a small yard and terrace, where you can have afternoon tea outdoors, which is great for taking photos. The B&B as a whole retains its ancient style, is quaint, warm and comfortable. The decoration style is relatively old Chinese style, the bed is very soft and comfortable, the design has a sense of the past era, the daylight is good, and the food has both Chinese and Western styles. The beer fish is really great, very authentic Northern Guangxi flavor, the coffee and juice are also delicious, you can enjoy it in the pomelo grove or in the open-air restaurant on the top floor.
