We stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

This hotel looked incredible! From top to bottom, it was clear that the designers took style seriously. The rooms gave off a sense of luxury that few other hotels in this process range have. The carpets, floors, doors, cabinets, beds etc. emitted a sense of tranquility, which made me feel very comfortable. Also, after travelling around China for nearly a month, I can say that this was by far the best breakfast I've had at roughly a dozen hotels. The staff were professional, everything was very clean, and the location could not have been better. My only issues: there was no air conditioning, and my room was very hot at night. Additionally, when the rooms next to you are watching television, you can hear everything in your room.

The check in process is fast and the services is considered good. The room is not worth the value that we pay.... Minimum amenities provided with no fridge and room cleanliness needs attention.

We stayed in this hotel as the base to see the Colourful Mountains. The hotel is old which is ok but it is not as clean as many guests have described. There was hair in the shower and the bathroom is patched up. Also, I would not recommend this hotel for nonsmokers as we are because there is smoking in the common areas. The entire hotel including the rooms smell of stale smoke which have seeped into the carpets and furnishings. You constantly feel choked up with fresh and stale cigarette smoke throughout the entire stay. That said, this viewpoint may be our problem because we are visitors from a country that has banned smoking in enclosed public spaces and it is what we are accustomed to. On another note, the service and hospitality was excellent and we thank the hotel team for this.

This was our third trip to Dunhuang, and we chose Molan Homestay this time because we saw it was newly opened. The pictures looked good, so we booked it. The homestay is located in a village, a bit out of the city center, but it's very quiet. There's parking right in front, which is convenient, though no EV charging. That's understandable; installing chargers isn't simple and requires grid approval. I chatted with the owner, and he said they're working on it, so hopefully, next time I won't have to go elsewhere to charge. The homestay environment is lovely, just like the photos, perfect for photoshoots. The front desk staff was super enthusiastic. After we checked in that evening, they must have noticed us eyeing the bar's liquor, because they proactively poured us two large glasses of craft beer. And I have to say, the craft beer chosen by the owner was absolutely fantastic, it really helped shake off the fatigue from driving all the way from Delingha to Dunhuang. Kudos to the owner! For breakfast, the owner was very thoughtful, asking what we'd like and if we wanted it delivered to our room. The food tasted good, and the dishes were healthy, catering to most tastes. When we left, they even gave us some essentials for the road, like wet wipes and compressed towels. All in all, this trip was tiring, but the experience was wonderful. Oh, and one minor regret: I came at the wrong time. The Li Guang apricots at the homestay weren't ripe yet. Otherwise, I could have experienced an all-you-can-eat apricot feast! I hope next time I visit, the apricots haven't all been picked. I definitely want to pick the first ripe one (though the owner will probably get it first, haha). 這次入住體驗超出預期，整體環境清幽雅緻，被綠植和自然景色包圍，一進來就覺得特別放鬆。房間乾淨整潔，佈置温馨，視野很好，推開窗就能感受到清新空氣，晚上特別安靜，睡得很安穩。公共區域打理得很用心，散步、拍照都很出片，很適合遠離城市喧囂、放鬆身心。無論是家庭出遊、朋友小聚還是獨自靜養都很合適，性價比高，體驗感很棒，下次度假還會再來！

這家酒店太出乎意料了，酒店不但高端大氣上檔次，停車場也非常大，停車特方便，酒店前台服務態度熱情，房間衞生乾淨整潔，設施齊全，尤其是智能小度，特別靈敏，好用，智能馬桶非常方便，衞生間乾濕分離，設計的非常棒👍🏻👍🏻！值得推薦

the location is great, walking distance to Ming Sha San around 15mins walk. The room is clean and spacious, the bed is comfy and they even have a humidifier, which is amazing as the weather there is very dry. Breakfast is okay, not much options but still would recommend this place.
