Great service and breakfast, but noisy nights ruined our stay
The hotel has a very central location, and the absolute highlight was the staff – incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options.
Unfortunately, one major downside significantly impacted our experience: the location of our room. It faced the main square in Östersund, which is surrounded by several bars. Although these venues were supposed to close around 22:00 or midnight, this was not enforced. On the weekends, one of the bars even operated as a nightclub.
Because the room was very hot, we had to keep the window open during the night – but the noise from the square made it nearly impossible to sleep. Sadly, this meant very little rest during our main vacation, and as a result, we would not choose this hotel again for our next visit to Östersund.

Just in the center of the town, this town is small, with a population of 5 to 60,000. You can ski in winter and watch the aurora. Few Chinese tourists should know and come here.

The room facilities are very good and practical. The scenery outside the balcony is very unique. The entire hotel is large, clean and tidy. The hot spring and sauna facilities are unique in this small town. The breakfast is also very rich!

Great location and great pricing! Simple, but clean room.
Just be aware of one aspect: no bedclothes and towels are provided, you need to bring your own or rent a set from the reception, which is only open until 3pm! I was just lucky I happened to have a set with me... It would be very advisable to highlight this fact more prominently on the hotel description!

The Sure Hotel by Best Western Algen is a friendly, family hotel in the center of Ostersund. Close to the city center and the train station. The hotel was totally remodeled in 2016 and today the rooms are decorated with details that make you think of nature and the forest. The hotel has a restaurant which serves a small a la carte menu which is located on the first floor. There is also a nice outdoor area for the summer nights. Downstairs the hotel has a relaxation area with lounge furniture and a sauna.
