Overall, the hotel is good and service from the staff is great too. Breakfast Hotel has a good spread and enjoyed the food there. Hotel is well located near the Fengjia Night Market and you can go there in 3 min but is not very near the city centre and you may need to take a bus or walk there. .

What makes this place nice is its owners who helped with a good tour and always asked me if I needed anything. As for the place itself, its location is really central and the room in my case was very clean. As a perk, you have a plentiful water supply. If you are not a sound sleeper, then you have to take your precautions as the rooms seem not to be soundproof. Also, if you need natural lighting, you better choose a room that has natural sources of light. Trip.com says standard rooms have windows when in reality they don't. All in all, my experience was quite positive and I slept well after exploring this beautiful town.

The room was clean and seemed newly renovated. They offer free public parking, which worked out great for my plans. Breakfast and coffee in the morning were good enough to start the day. The hotel’s also within walking distance of the night market. The only downside was that my room faced the road, so it was a bit noisy from traffic, and I could hear sounds from the next room.

Spacious room. Dated amenities, hence called retro, I guess. Pretty inflated price during Chinese new year, guess it’s like that everywhere else. In all, not horrible experience.

From Taoyuan airport we took Airport Express Train to Taoyuan HSR (High Speed Rail) station & took HSR to Zuoying THSR in Kaohsiung, then took Kenting Express Bus 9189 at bus stop #2 along the road outside of Zuoying THSR station (need to top up enough fare in your Easy Travel card at the station beforehand otherwise pay cash to bus driver). Alight at Kenting Police Substation bus stop (get ready to press the bell once you pass Kenting Arch otherwise driver won’t stop for you) & walk into small lane walk a short distance to the back door of Kenting Coast Resort. There’s a restaurant called Magic Kitchen for quick breakfast a very short walk to the right of hotel front door. We managed to book half day (4-hr) tour with the help hotel receptionist on both days, just tell the driver where you want to go for sighting/experience/food. We paid NTD 2200 for each half-day tour. We actually checked out early in the morning on the last day & did a 4-hr tour of Hengchun old town with our luggages in the car & get dropped off at Hengchun interchange bus station to catch Kenting Express Bus back to Zuoying THSR. But we discovered actually you can deposit luggages at the Hengchun interchange bus station for a fee then walk around Hengchun old town yourselves without worrying about lugging luggages around haha.

The owners are incredibly thoughtful and the hotel itself is beautiful. It's really close to the beach, and they even provide instant noodles, snacks, coffee, and milk tea! I hope their business flourishes! They also helped me with directions, which I really appreciate. Waking up to cute cats downstairs in the morning was such a heartwarming touch. It's a very cozy guesthouse.

I recently stayed at 35.5 Inn in Kenting Xiaowan, and overall, I had a very positive experience. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the amenities provided were good. Everything was well-maintained, making my stay comfortable. The location is fantastic—the hotel is right next to the Kenting Night Market, which is held daily. This makes it incredibly convenient for food, shopping, and entertainment. Additionally, a scooter rental shop is located right next door, offering both regular and electric scooters, making it easy to explore the area. One aspect that could be improved is the check-in process. Unfortunately, check-in is only available from 4:00 PM, which can be inconvenient for travelers arriving earlier. A potential improvement would be to provide guests with the door code in advance, allowing early check-in if the room is already available. In my case, my room was unoccupied before my arrival, so this could have been an easy solution. Overall, I highly recommend 35.5 Inn for its cleanliness, great location, and accessibility to transport options. If they refine their check-in process, it would be an even better experience!
