"Location: near LinFenXi High Speed Rail Station 临汾西站(10mins drive/ 20mins by local public transport to LuoGuQiaoTou 锣鼓桥头站). Best is that they provide pick-up and drop-off at HSR station, just make a call 3 hours in advance. I dont have local number, so I email them in advance before my trip, they replied my email and provide me their WeChat number so I can make reservation for the pick-up service at the station. Many local tours have pick-up and drop-off service near the hotel (junction outside the hotel), easy and convenient. Services: warm and welcoming services. Tea and drinks in the lobby, luggage storage as well. Room: clean big room, big screen TV, mini bar fridge, bathrobe and comfy king bed. Lavender shower shampoo, hand soap and body lotion, make me feel so so much relax. Laundry: laundry machine are free of charge (washer and dryer). Laundry room provide ironing equipment, books, drink as well. Definitely not get bored. Otherwise, can use phone connect their website to make a reminder while the laundry have done (so convenient). Gym Room: just opposite and same level of laundry room. Treadmill are so new. Breakfast: varieties of choice. Before that I already crave for coffee since it is not so common to find espresso in the local breakfast restaurant. Salad bar, local meatball soup, noodles, dumplings, wantons, boiled egg, fried egg, fried tomato with egg and local cooked food. So many choice and so satisfying. However they dont have egg omelette, it is fine for me. I found that even though not staying at LinFen city centre, it is still fine to stay here as the traffic here is convenient. And here is more quiet and more relax👍 The only thing I dont like is, some customer smoking in the lift and hotel lobby (even though there is a sign in the lift to advice not to smoke), definitely affecting those unlike smoking smell and sick of cigarette smell like me."

The hotel encountered difficulties in processing my Taiwan pass. However, I must commend G hotel for their exceptional support and assistance. They made every effort to resolve the situation promptly and ensure a successful check-in process. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. Guests of this Taiyuan hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"Great location and they were all super nice. However the room was super hot and there is no AC. When we asked they brought up a portable unit but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep the room comfortable. If it’s winter it could be a great spot but definitely look elsewhere in the late spring and summer."

You will definitely enjoy the traditional Chinese antique market and Chinese culture. The transportation is very convenient. You can reach the antique market by 2 minutes walk. You can easily reach famous AAAA-Class Tourist Areas by 5 minutes walk. Such as: Huayan Monastery, The Forbidden City - Nine Dragons Wall, Fahua Temple, Yuantong Temple and so on. The courtyard is equipped with rockery, glass roof, planting flowers and plants, feeding birds and fish, and the traditional courtyard makes you feel the charm of Datong ancient city. The rooms of Renyi are mainly Chinese-style duplex rooms. They are also equipped with high-end furnitures and tasteful decoration, it will bring you a comfortable stay.

"Spent a most enjoyable 5-day stay here. The owners are really nice -- they not only surprised us with a welcome fruit platter but also sent another one on another day. When we had to wake up super early on one of the days, they actually cooked 2 hard boil eggs for us to pack for breakfast (despite us saying no the night before as we didn't wish to trouble them). The husband also sent us via his car to a nearby pick-up point that we had to assemble at 5.40am. This is a very nicely done up place, well-maintained and very clean too. Good quality toiletries provided, comfortable bed, bathroom with a shower cubicle, water that is hot enough, even a toilet bowl. Great location -- there're rows of different types of shops nearby but it's still surprisingly quiet despite our room facing the road with a balcony, there're 2 cafes nearby, a nearby eatery that sells the most delicious 'shao bing' (crispy skin pastry with meat in it) - it's freshly made when one orders and a adjoining noodle stall that serves noodles that's quite OK too. It's just opposite the Hua Yan Si temple - one of the must-visit on the list of places in Datong. Hua Yan temple is also located in a huge square with more shops and food. From the front door of the homestay, turn right and walk all the way down abt 15-20mins, go through the ancient walls and then cross the road, you'll find Parkson mall there - a huge modern mall with all your usual F & B + shops that you'll find in these malls, supermarket, etc. The bus-stop to Yun Gang Grottoes is also nearby. A new landmark that makes it easy to locate this charming homestay : a new huge pink bunny with the Chinese characters of Datong on a green artificial grass patch, that is located just abt 200m away from its main entrance."

Kempinski Hotel Taiyuan is located in the south commercial center of Taiyuan, many of the city's best shopping centers are all within walking distance, also with easy access to the Shanxi International Expo Center and Shanxi Sports Center, 7 km to the South Railway Station and 12 km to Wusu International Airport.

"Unfortunately, the overall stay was not great. When we booked the hotel, we specifically requested a non-smoking room, which is essential for us because of health issues. After double confirming with the hotel that they have non-smoking rooms (based on the website, all rooms are non smoking), we paid for our booking. However, shortly after, they informed us that smoking in hotel rooms is common and unavoidable in Taiyuan. We felt deceived into making the payment and realized we were stuck with this accommodation for our 7-day stay. Upon checking in, we had to request a room change due to a strong smoke smell in the original room. The second room was better and the hotel staff was nice enough to provide an air purifier. Throughout our entire stay, people were smoking in the elevator, lobby, and even at the dinner table. If we had known this beforehand, we would have reconsidered staying here. For a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we paid far too much for this experience. The only highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always friendly, helpful, and did their very best to serve the guests, which made our trip a bit more enjoyable. We thank them for their excellent service."

"Nice hotel just outside of the old city - reachable with a 5 minute didi. The staff were very professional and helpful. The room was brand new, clean and comfortable. Stay was nearly perfect with only a few minor gripes. When we asked for extra pillows we were told there were none available, the gym was a little bit small, but the 24 hour gym opening time was excellent. The western food at the breakfast buffet seemed like it had bit sitting out for a while and wasn't super fresh. However, the Chinese food was excellent and the staff were happy to make some vegetarian fried rice for us to suit our dietary needs. Overall a very pleasant stay and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Datong. The staff were so helpful and kind."

"Huge praise for two staff members at Sheraton Taiyuan! 1. Kaka at the front desk: My flight schedule was unusual, requiring a late check-out. Kaka was incredibly helpful, proactively coordinating a late check-out for me. She was patient and gentle throughout, helping me perfectly resolve the issue. 2. Housekeeping staff Cao Ailan: I was staying with a child, and she proactively provided all the necessary children's toiletries. When cleaning the room, she even folded my clothes neatly. Her attention to detail was exceptional; it's rare to feel the warmth of home when staying away. Her service was truly heartwarming, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Taiyuan!"
