The service at the front desk is very friendly. There are vending machines where you can buy snacks. The heating in the room is sufficient. The toilet and room are also clean. The transportation is also convenient. It is a 10-minute drive from downtown. The only downside is that no slippers are provided.

There was a jacuzzi, which was great for relieving my tired body✨The breakfast buffet included bread, waffles, cookies, yogurt, bacon, omelets, and more! The waffles I made myself in the waffle maker were especially delicious☺️ The staff at the reception and restaurant were friendly and really nice!

Loved it !!! Best location good easy check in and check out !! Never had to go to front desk due to the amazing information in side the lobby and room about hotel . Will be back :)

We found this place not long after we got off the ferry at Departure Bay, Nanaimo , on the island, in Parksville . We didn't have a reservation, so my husband just went in and asked if they had a room. They did have one reasonably priced, so we took it for the night. Thanks for the popcorn ! We were also able to have our 2 little dogs there, which was great ! When we got in the room, I tried to turn the ac on, but it smelled dusty, so I shut it off. There wasn't any cover or filter on it, and it was dusty inside of it, so I left it off. We were only staying one night, so it was no big deal and wasn't too hot. Later thay evening we decided to see if we could get the room for another night and we were able to get the same room. It was, however, warmer the next night, so it would have been nice to put it on. The parking is free and well lit. There was a path close by to go down to the beach and a nice outdoor sitting area at the Inn. There is also an amusement place right next door with mimi golf, bumper boats, gelato, as well as other food. The room was clean with a table and chairs, a fridge, and a sm freezer and close to the departure bay ferry terminal. I would stay again if I got a room with working ac.

Stayed at the Grandview for Kamloopa PowWow. The motel is very well kept, cute and comfortable! Bed was super cozy. Stayed in one of the queen superior rooms. Staff was amazing and very accommodating. Room felt safe and secure and we will definitely book here again!!!

This hotel is actually a Motel. For a stopover from Vancouver to Jasper, this hotel is absolutely fine. In addition, the price of 300+ yuan is also very cost-effective. Breakfast was modest and the service girl was hospitable.

Spent 2 nights here over the Easter Weekend. Very friendly front desk staff and the room was clean and the bed very comfy. The following are observations and NOT complaints. - there is nowhere to lock up your valuables. Having had a theft from another hotel in town, this was a concern of mine. -instead of a key card, you’re given, upon check-in, a small piece of paper with a code for the main door (for after hours entry) and you provide your own set of number for your press button room door lock. I found it helpful to take a screen shot of all this with my phone in case I lost the piece of paper. It is small, y’all! - there is no dresser to store clothes. There IS a rack with hangers but for items like underwear and shorts, etc, you will need to use your suitcase. - the room is equipped with a kitchen ( microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker) but is lacking in cutlery and dishes. - to accommodate the idea of using the space as an eating area, there is a breakfast bar and 2 stools but the room’s layout is awkward and would be hard to use. - there is a lovely little patio area available and you could eat out there but due to the rain, I was unable to use it. - I was fine with the next-to-zero counter space in the bathroom, but if you have a lot of toiletries, this could be a challenge. -there is no way to turn the shower on from a distance i.e. without getting under the shower head, due to the sliding shower door orientation. - the room was decorated quite nicely and I was very comfortable here. I am a light sleeper and the room is most definitely not soundproof so I was happy to have my earplugs and white noise app! This is meant to be an informative review, Not negative at all. The price was good and I enjoyed my stay.

Very nice place in downtown Revelstoke. Prices are reasonable. Rooms have all you really need, Beds are comfy. Nice and clean units. It is quiet except the train but they don't run much at night. Walking distance to restaurants. Close to Trans Canada Highway. They include a box breakfast, but have juices, yogurts and coffee tea available. We enjoyed our stay there, staff is friendly. We will be back on our next travel. Make sure you reserve, there are not too many units available and it filles up fast, especially in the summer or winter season.

The lady at the check in desk was very polite and helpful. I asked for and extra towel and she gave us one. The room was a bit older but updated with laminate flooring which was nice. The chair was a bit stained but didn't bother us. It was nice to find a reasonably priced motel in Golden on a quiet street. Bed was comfortable. Would stay here again. G Lo

Highly overpriced for what you get. A 20 inch TV., one bath towel per room and Ketchup packet style shampoo/conditioner and $40 extra per night for a small dog. Also be careful, prices for rooms they seem too vary depending on who you are. Was in the lobby and heard rooms being charged out as low as $116 to high of $189. We paid $159+40 for dog plus taxes and our room was in the older part, nothing special. They have posted on sites dogs are $20 but not the case, be careful. Old motel which has been tastefully updated to a point. Clean rooms and grounds are well kept, to a point. Don't look too close or you will see the open garbage stored behind the fence, the indoor pool with scum on it, the make shift wiring, and do it yourself fixes. But on the up side, its in a great location, nice outdoor pool, friendly staff, pet friendly and would consider staying again if the price was right for what you get.

The front desk staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful and our request for an extra pillow was taken care of immediately. The rooms are what you’d expect in a basic motel but the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The microwave, coffee maker and fridge were useful to us as we were on a touring holiday. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the motel and live music in the town square. Would definitely return.

What can I say about the Motel Happy Salmon, for a start is is not near Salmon Arm, but a drive away. It is situated at a place called Canoe, which has no facilities at all. It is also a 2 km drive from the lake, which is across the main road in Canoe and has a small General Store and a sometimes (I imagine) open bar /restaurant but not when we passed by. The room obviously once had a functioning kitchen, but no more, and this was made very obvious by the threatening signs and cable clips securing the cupboards. I have never encountered a hotel/motel room with so many warning signs of fines if you disobey. It made us frightened boil a kettle (we had our own teabags). The small shower was OK once we worked out the functioning. The bed was clean and comfortable but the room looked as if it had been furnished from a Thrift Store.

Chinese service, breakfast is very good, feel at home. There is parking, free of charge. 10 knives for an extra bed. There is boiling water, coffee and tea in the restaurant. It is open until 22:00 outside the meal. If you need extra time, you can call the boss, free of charge. Microwave in the room

Just on the edge of the highway, this area is the transitional accommodation to Banff, there are many hotels of the same type. This one is relatively small and its facilities are relatively old, but it is cheaper. Two floors, no elevators, Canada is basically a wooden structure house, there is still noise when you move around. Check-in is fast, check-out is also very simple, as long as you return the front desk key. The nearby attraction is the pedestrian wooden bridge on the Kicking Horse River.

The people on the front desk were helpful and available. The beds were extremely comfortable and lots of pillows were provided. The air conditioning works and I was grateful for it. The room comes with a microwave, hot plate, kitchen sink and small refrigerator. That was great. However, the floor was filthy. I couldn't walk around barefoot because my feet got soot black in no time. When I stepped into the tub, I was horrified to see my own black footprints smeared in the tub. I stayed at this motel for four nights and the same long black hair from a previous guest, stayed on the bathroom floor. If I didn't wear something on my feet they got filthy. I reported the state of the floor to the front desk on the first night of my four night stay. The receptionist was so apologetic and that was nice, however nothing was done and the floor remained filthy for the duration of my stay. I lay my things out as I like them on the table countertops, but they were all rearranged when I got back at the end of the day. I don't like people touching my stuff so that irritated me. Perhaps staff look at it as tidying up, but I look at it it's interfering with my personal possessions. It would have appreciated if they'd wash the floor rather than spend time rearranging my things. It's not theirs to touch. Having said all this, the positives I mentioned at the beginning of this review, still stand. But if you don't like dirty floors, I would have a chat with the front desk before checking in, to be sure the cleaners are doing their job and the floor of the suite you rent is mopped and clean.

The environment is very nice and there is a garden, a large parking lot, and the rooms are large, like suites. It is only a few minutes drive from the hotel to the city centre, which is especially convenient.

I had stayed at this motel in July for 1 night under the Air B and B and loved it. It was peaceful and where as we had neighbours on both sides, (one side had a family with young children.) Both were quiet and respectful of the space. Yes the place does need some repairs and painting but I saw that they were working on it so I was fine with that. Because of my experience in July, I took my older mother there for 2 days in August for some R and R due to some hard stuff going on in our family. Sadly that experience was very different. Lets start with the positives Location: Great location with the beach steps away and the boardwalk for walking, riding or jogging Free mini golf, A nice big grassy field in front with fire pits, volleyball net and swings. Lots of space for kids and families to roam around. Kitchenette; A full size fridge and very well stocked with appliances. Comfy beds Sadly, there were many CONS: Inside, our room had a broken patio door latch but I could use my thumb to lock it. When I went to report it the next morning, I was informed that there was a lock at the bottom to use. We should have been informed of that when we checked in. The bathmat was disintegrating and did not stick to the bottom of the tub and bits were coming off. I reported that the next day and was informed that “they would find me a new one if they had one”. We did receive a brand new one later that day. On one of the beds, the bedskirt was thrashed. It looked like a cat had ripped it apart. Boundaries: When we arrived, we had a family on one side that had a lot of people including young children and they spilled into our area a bit. The chairs were set up in a way that some people were looking directly at us whether we were inside or out. We chose to eat inside with the curtains closed as we did not want to be continually stared at. Later we had gone off and when we came back, the young children had left stuff on our picnic table and the adults allowed the children to ride their bikes on the cement patios right outside the patio door. The kids would stop in front of our door and stare at us. I don’t blame the children as they were young but no one stopped that behaviour. I love that the motel is family friendly and there is lots of room for the kids to roam. But that does not mean right outside our door in our patio area. Not sure that management could have done anything about that. Noise: We did go out later as the family had left for a while, but the other neighbours were very loud outside and smoking on the patio as well. Smoking anything is supposed to be 3 meters away. The smell drove us back inside. They woke us up around 1am both with loud voices in the next room and there was yelling and screaming in the parking lot along with horn honking and a motorcycle reving for a good few minutes. I don't know what other people would expect if I said excellent but that was our experience. We were at the end of a two week holiday on Vancouver Island. We stayed at a name brand hotel on the way up island at twice the price, but it certainly was not twice as good; in fact I would say our room was not as large as the name brand but that was the only difference. Harbour Light had everything we needed for one night: comfortable beds, frig, microwave, wi-fi, and coffee maker. The place was clean and the attendant at the desk was helpful in every way. He recommended the MGM restaurant next door with a 10% discount and between the two we had a good evening before we caught the ferry to the mainland the next morning.

Contrary to a number of reviews, we had a good stay here. Not the nicest area of Nanaimo, but convenient along the main road from the ferry. Family suite was a full 2br apartment, clean but not brand new. The gentleman at the front desk was courteous and helpful. DQ across the street. They only rent to out of towners now, which may have been why we had a nice quiet stay.

Great, well maintained clean hotel near the ferry dock in Nanaimo. Friendly desk staff, each room we had was split into living/kitchen area then a separate bedroom. The beds were really comfortable. I had some reservations when I booked, wondering if the place would be noisy since it's so close to the ferries and right on Hwy 1, the main road through town. But the living areas were on the road side of the hotel, with the bedrooms at the back, overlooking the gardens of other houses, so the only noise I heard in the mornings was birdsong. Great value for money, will absolutely stay there again next trip.

I would give this hotel a zero if I could, but the 1 star is for the front desk only. They were professional and nice and accommodating, but the cleaning staff needs to be fired. I’m surprised the health authority hasn’t been called. Doors don’t close tightly and latch to lock doesn’t work, the toilet isn’t sealed on the floor so You breathe in sewer smells, the walls are peeling and disgusting, I wiped the surfaces of both bathroom and table and TV cabinet and all had disgusting dirt on them. The beds…pull out a sheet of plywood and throw a sleeping bag on it and you’ll have just as much comfort!! Horrible!! One light in the whole room so dingy and dark. The hot tub was “under maintenance” the whole time so never got to use it and apparently this happens a lot according to reviews. The pool is supposed to be heated to 26 degrees of which it was not, glacial water is warmer. The pool area was disgusting!! The bathroom floors were nasty!! There was 1 bottle of shampoo for a family! For 250.00 a night if my hard-earned money could have been better accommodations! I will never stay here again and I won’t be recommending it to anyone!! No point in complaining to staff because according to reviews they don’t care. I’m thinking this is owner run, they don’t want to spend the money to repair/clean/fix up, run the hot tub, or heat the pool! Never again!! Oh and the vending machine is constantly down apparently, probably can’t afford to fill it.

The shop is opened by the Chinese people. The two front-end mushrooms are warm and courteous, the room is not big, but the two oversized beds, the facilities inside are newly changed, no matter whether the heater and the bathroom are warm (the general car hotel bathroom is not heating) are suitable for 咱Living habits, clean and healthy. To pass the motel standard, is the highest, not one.
