I stayed at this onsen hostel and had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent—very convenient for exploring the area. The staff spoke English, which made communication smooth, and the place had a nice mix of Japanese and Western atmosphere. Everything was clean and comfortable. That said, I was hoping for a more traditional, authentic onsen experience. Still, it’s a great option for travelers looking for comfort and accessibility.

A relax and nice view in Kusatsu. The hotel is located a bit far from bus terminal. However, there is a free shuttle bus service which connected with bus service. I strongly encourage the private onsen package where we can taste three different type of onsen in the hotel. My platinum ring changed colour, may be due to the acidity of onsen water😂. The dinner and breakfast inspired and it is good for family trip with a number of accessible service for elderly with physically limitations.

Not so far grom yubatake . The hitel have shuttle bus from bus station to hotel and hotel to yubatake. Breakfast is night . Onsen outdoor is really good. The price also nice

My stay at Kamenoi Hotel Kusatsu was excellent. The onsen was very clean and quite spacious, making it a relaxing experience. The hotel also has a convenient shortcut that leads directly to the Yubatake pedestrian area, which is a big plus. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet-style with a wide variety of dishes — plenty of options and all very enjoyable. The service was great, and the room was comfortable to sleep in. The only downside is that there were a bit too few power outlets in the room, but it wasn’t a major problem. Overall, a fantastic stay and highly recommended for anyone visiting Kusatsu.

É um pouco difícil chegar ao hotel a partir do terminal de ônibus se você tiver bagagem, pois é uma descida para chegar ao hotel. Também não há elevador no hotel, por isso temos que carregar nossa bagagem até o segundo andar. Quando verificamos, percebemos que na verdade há um armário para bagagem no térreo. Há apenas um tipo de água no seu onsen público, o que é um pouco decepcionante, pois temos grandes expectativas, já que é uma cidade onsen. A água onsen, no entanto, é boa. Sentimos alguma diferença antes e depois do onsen. Há também café e chocolate quente gratuitos fora da área onsen. Seria melhor se houvesse água gelada na área do onsen, pois a água pode ficar muito quente e especialmente quando não há banheira fria lá. O quarto, porém, é espaçoso, com cama confortável. New hotel. Excellent location, centrally located. The decor is elegant. The room is spacious and has windows that can be opened. The large bed is comfortable. There are indoor hot springs on ground floor, but no outdoor hot springs. Large parking lot, parking is very convenient. Staff service is top notch. Breakfast is average but enough.

Excellent value for money, with a half-board package that included dinner and breakfast. Dinner was very generous, though the aftertaste was just average; the Jōshū beef was the highlight. Breakfast quality was superb. Very satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort.

一泊二食的酒店，在草津來講是非常大型的酒店，前台有會説中文的台胞，早晚餐是自助餐，食物選擇非常多，訂的是帶私湯的房間，房間不大，一家三口人住有點擠。門口就有7-11和一個超市，走去湯畑很近，酒店也有班車接送，不過最早的班次是15:00。酒店的行政酒廊有小糕點，15:00-17:30期間可以去吃吃東西喝喝飲料，也有專屬的泡湯區，有免費的起泡酒喝，訂有私湯的房間會贈送酒廊和專屬泡湯區使用權限，否則要收費。

Kanemidori is a short walk from the bus depot. The staff at the reception and restaurant in the hotel were all very nice and helpful. The futons and bedding in the room are very comfortable and warm for winter. You can also control your own in room heater. The hotel onsen is well maintained with full amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, face pack, hair treatment, and multiple types of lotion. We booked the room only but added on a dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Both meals were carefully prepared and delicious. The main tourist area is within walking distance of the hotel and you can go around in the yukata paired with the long and short kimono jackets provided by the hotel in the winter.
