We absolutely loved our stay at Jiangyun, our room was comfortable, clean, big and nicely decorated. The hotel is in a beautiful traditional building, and within walking distance or a very cheap DIDI ride to all attractions. The best part about our stay was the kindness and friendliness of Yan and Rukia, they went out of their way to provide information for us and help organise onward travel to Kyrgyzstan. Yan speaks good English and with his adept use of a translator app we were able to communicate on all topics. When we couldn’t find a cooking course in Kashgar Yan organised a neighbourhood chef to come and teach us how to make steamed buns, in the guesthouse kitchen, it was great fun! I had a long layover at Ürümqi International Airport—my first time there—and booked this hotel the night before. It was very easy to find; you don’t even need to leave the airport. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the exit gate. Check-in was quick and efficient. The room was spacious, clean, and appeared to be in a newly built or recently renovated hotel. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my short stay. Breakfast was included in the rate, which was a nice bonus. I managed to get a solid 8 hours of incredibly comfortable sleep—something I really needed during my layover. Overall, this is an excellent choice if you have an overnight layover at Ürümqi. Convenient, clean, and restful.

This hotel was an excellent choice on my first visit to Kashgar. It's located outside the Kashgar City Walls, but close to the East Gate (the water gate is even closer, and the closest is through the Kashgar City Hall😊), and the Kurun Tower is right next door. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, which was a huge plus. The room was so comfortable that I had no issues during my three-night stay. Thank you.🙏

We stayed for one night at this hotel. They provide airport shuttle service. Having had some bad experience in Shanghai when it comes to staying at hotels near airport, the shuttle service is the main reason that I picked this hotel. And they don't disappoint! The driver came to pick us up in less than 15minutes and they also dropped us off the next day. The room is clean; the size is decent; and the bed is relatively comfortable! Overall, I had good experience staying at this hotel. Recommended for sure! 👌

Hotel is new and environment is great. Service was also excellent. The only downside is the room has poor soundproofing and it is very warm. As it is winter, there is only the heater and you have to open the window to allow cold air in, if not the room is a sauna and impossible to sleep. With the windows open, you can hear everything outside. Even at 2am in the morning, I get woken up multiple times because of someone talking outside the room or room doors closing.

Khorgos is not your typical destination for couples. However, I have to say the hotel is great. I am also happy to see Khorgos is developing.

My friend and I stayed at the Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel during a layover in Urumqi, and it was the perfect choice for a short stay near the airport. The location is extremely convenient - just ~15 minutes away from the terminal, which made our transit hassle-free. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, which was a great advantage. Though the hotel could use minor renovations, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent. The room had all the essentials: slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a comb, a hairdryer, an electric kettle, cups, and bottled water. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was important for us to plan our day trip and order a taxi. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of options. Even if you're not yet accustomed to Chinese cuisine, you can find simple choices like boiled eggs and mantou (steamed buns). For sightseeing, the city center and main attractions (such as the Xinjiang Museum, Red Hill Park, the Grand Bazaar, and the mosque) are about 30 minutes away by taxi. We managed to explore all of them in a day. Nearby, there are also local markets, convenience stores, and small cafés for snacks and essentials. Overall, if you need a comfortable, budget-friendly hotel close to Urumqi Airport with good service and decent amenities, Tianyuan Hangyou Hotel is a great option. Highly recommended for transit travelers!

This hotel was such a pleasant surprise! It's right in front of the snowy mountains and grasslands, an absolutely fantastic location super close to the scenic area. The room was clean, the details were thoughtfully taken care of, and the service was attentive and thorough. A perfect experience, highly recommend!

Staff were helpful. The location was near the train station which is great for walking. The hostel has a large lobby and communal area for hanging out and chilling. Lots of amenities. Water is free to refill. Beds and toilets were clean and well-equipped with hair dryers. Really pleasant stay and would highly recommend this place for solo travellers.

Urcove hardly disappoints. It’s a superb hotel with great hardware. However, location wise it’s a bit far from the east gate where the opening ceremony is (15min walk ish). Although you can use the north gate (8min walk), you land in a weird spot in the ancient city. The hotels air condition also acted kinda weird when I was there. It stopped in the middle of the night even though I set it to heating mode of 24C, it dropped to 19C by itself. The room I booked supposedly has a balcony to it. But the thing is, it’s pretty much useless cuz the BBQ smoke from nearby restaurants will overwhelm you.
