Located in Causeway Bay, the room, though small, was quite comfortable. It's very close to both the MTR and bus stops, making it perfect for sightseeing in Hong Kong. There was even a slight sea view from the room, which was a pleasant surprise!

Dorsett is a good chain hotel that I’ve stayed at before many times in Hong Kong, but I have to say this is probably my least favourite of the several locations they have. The hotel does offer good facilities and good sized rooms with comfortable bedding, bathroom. The hotel also has a gym, and restaurant. However, the location isn’t too good and despite saying it’s only a few hundred meters away from two metro stations it’s quite a long and inconvenient walk from either. In addition, one side of the hotel overlooks a huge cemetery and grave yard - so if you are particular about this kinda of thing it would be an issue and it would be your entire view so something you can’t avoid. This isn’t mentioned anywhere else from what I can find. The only way you can avoid this is to pay to upgrade to a premium room (I feel this is a little unfair way of marketing). Staff are generally friendly however I did find one of the concierge a little rude and abrupt.

I keep coming back to this hotel because it's very convenient in everything.Transportation,market,shops,restaurant which is plenty in the area.Check in is fast and the best part is they have kitchen to cook meals if you had enough restaurant food.Very clean and they come to clean your room every day.

You can also easily walk to the Golden Bauhinia Square and Wan Chai Ferry Pier. If you're coming from the airport and aren't in a rush, I recommend taking Citybus E11; it's half the price of A11. Wan Chai itself is a well-connected area, making it easy to get anywhere. The facilities are comprehensive. The room includes a refrigerator, kettle, safe, hairdryer, and iron. The room size is quite reasonable for Hong Kong, and while the bed is a bit narrow, that's somewhat characteristic of Hong Kong hotels. The hotel doesn't offer adapter plugs for loan, but they do provide a USB multi-head charging cable. However, the USB charging speed is very slow, so I suggest bringing your own adapter. Another minor drawback is that the Wi-Fi is also a bit slow. Hygiene is satisfactory. Both the room and common areas are clean and tidy. The 'Outstanding Bay View' room type has been renovated and shows no obvious stains. We stayed for three days and experienced no skin allergies, which suggests there are no bed bugs. Additionally, the elevators require a room card swipe to access your floor, which adds to the security. The surroundings are convenient. There are many great restaurants in Wan Chai, though most require about a 5-minute walk. There are a few 'rich man's canteens' nearby if you have a generous budget and want to avoid walking. If you haven't bought the hotel breakfast and don't want to venture too far, you can go to Peninsula Seafood Restaurant on Lockhart Road for dim sum. It's better than the 'Jin Hui' restaurant recommended on some social media platforms, with good ambiance, hygiene, and daily special dim sum, making it quite a good deal.

First time staying here since the renovation, and my first time on a lower floor, which was a bit disappointing. The room was incredibly small; it was my first time in a Club Smart room, and maybe this room type isn't suitable. The breakfast wasn't very good either. The location, however, is excellent, only about a 20-minute walk from the TIDES performance venue in Whampoa. If it didn't include breakfast, it would be fine, but with breakfast, the value for money immediately drops by 20%.

The room was very clean, better than expected. It was perfectly fine for two adults and one child, at least we could sleep comfortably. Our main purpose was to visit Disneyland, and the subway access was incredibly convenient. This location is great for getting anywhere. There are also many food options downstairs. We forgot to bring a power adapter, but the night market next door sold them for eight yuan each. The front desk staff was very helpful. There's a Sheng Kee nearby that's quite good, and a congee shop by the Yau Ma Tei subway station that's very affordable, about 50-60 yuan per person, and the taste is decent.

I booked a single room at the Venice Guest House for my trip to Hong Kong. To be honest, at first glance at the price, I was a bit apprehensive, fearing the room might be too small or the environment not great. But after checking in, it was truly much better than I expected! First, I have to praise the front desk staff – incredibly warm and friendly! Knowing it was my first time visiting Hong Kong, they not only quickly processed my check-in but also patiently introduced me to local delicacies and tourist attractions nearby. They even told me the most convenient way to take the MTR and advised me on places that are lively to visit at night. It really warmed my heart 🥰 As for the room, I booked a single room, and in a place like Hong Kong where every inch is precious, the space wasn't huge, but the layout was very reasonable, and it was kept extremely clean and tidy. The bed was just the right firmness, and I slept very comfortably. Basic amenities like air conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi were all well-equipped, and the hot water came out quickly, making showers very refreshing. The overall environment was better than what I imagined from the pictures online, and I felt very secure staying there. The location is also very convenient, with a vibrant local atmosphere around. Downstairs, there are convenience stores and local tea restaurants, and right outside the building is an MTR station! This is super friendly for tourists like me who mainly rely on public transportation. Overall, this guesthouse excels in cleanliness, convenience, and excellent service, offering great value for money. If I visit Hong Kong again, I would definitely consider staying here and would recommend it to friends on a budget who still want a comfortable stay!

On the ground floor, there were quite a few foreigners, seemingly all exchanging currency. The hotel is located in Block B, so you need to walk further inside and take the elevator. It's quite close to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station Exit N5. Right outside the building, there's an international mall, which is convenient for shopping. However, the fan inside was quite noisy, and the air conditioning wasn't really on. The overall hygiene of the building seemed just okay. The front desk staff were very nice and showed me how to use the key card access. A thoughtful touch was that they provided an adapter, as mainland Chinese and Hong Kong sockets are different.

The hotel is located close to the bay with a nice environment. However, there are hardly any dining options nearby, and the restaurant downstairs is expensive and serves bad food. Since there are no other places to eat around, I wouldn't recommend it. While the bay view is a plus, the surrounding area is simply inconvenient. I heard it's a hotel for expectant mothers. This stay was a failure, and I won't be returning. The room facilities are also basic, but at least it's spacious. Given the price, I can't give it too harsh a review. In short, I don't recommend it unless you're looking for extreme quiet. The surrounding area is really inconvenient, and getting to the hotel itself isn't easy.

During off-peak hours, the occasional chatter from outside adds a touch of lively local flavor, making it feel wonderfully vibrant. There's no in-room direct drinking water, but the supermarket downstairs is just a stone's throw away, making resupply incredibly convenient. The room layout is ingeniously compact, with every bit of space utilized perfectly, making it an efficient and practical urban dwelling choice.
