The standard (renovated) room is excellent. There is air conditioning, a fan, free bottle of mineral water, clean towels and shampoo and soap.
The breakfast buffet is excellent and very extensive.
The top-roof pool with infinity view over Khulna is beautiful. However, the reception indicates that with a standard room you do not have access to the pool, while this is indicated with the facilities when booking on TRIP.com. This is very disappointing, because the pool was one of the reasons to choose Hotel Castle Salam. By the way, the pool is not heated and too cold to swim in in the winter.
The 2 different elevators, one of which does not go to all floors (including the rooftop pool on the 9th floor), is very confusing.
The staff is very friendly.
