"Songzhuju is one of the nicest homestay I've stayed in. 1. Butler Ah Fei and all staff are very welcoming and friendly. Ah Fei contacted me in advance to arrange pick up and itinerary. He's also the go-to guy for purchase of authentic tea and local produce. 2. Superior location The homestay is situated about 100m from north gate. Considered easy to find but I would still recommend the pick up service as the town is such a maze. It takes around 30mins by car from Lijiang Railway to the ancient town. Restaurants, cafes and shops are everywhere. 3. Spacious and cosy room Room was clean, full amenities like bathrobe, slippers, kettle, shampoo, conditioner etc all provided There are endless options of homestays to choose from but Songzhuju stands out for being so homely and such kind of personal service is really rare. After 3 days of stay, i cannot pinpoint a single negative aspect at all. Would return for sure and highly recommend to all travellers! . Bed and pillows quite comfortable. Breakfast provided from 8am. Laundry room available."

"Where do I even begin? My overall experience was simply fantastic. Let's start with the courtyard. The entrance has a rustic charm, and the whole courtyard feels elegant and serene. It's clear the owner converted their own home into this guesthouse. There are so many beautiful flowers and plants thriving in the yard, especially a cluster of multi-petaled roses. You can tell the owner has a real passion for life. There are also several cats and two sheep in the courtyard; one of the blue cats has gotten quite chunky and is absolutely adorable! The place feels so lively, and there's a strong sense of local ethnic culture, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The owner contacted us in advance about pick-up and drop-off. The young man who picked us up was very kind – I think he's the owner's son. He reached out to us beforehand and even helped with our luggage. Because the guesthouse isn't on the main street, it's very quiet and perfect for relaxing (though it's still very close to the main street, just a short walk away). Then there's the important part: the room. Since it was the off-season, the guesthouse was pretty quiet, and the owner let us choose our own room. The room has an overall wooden structure, and the decor has a strong, beautiful ******* feel. It was spotlessly clean and tidy, equipped with an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier. In winter, there's underfloor heating and electric blankets – everything you could possibly need. All toiletries were also provided. Next up, breakfast. The owner herself cooked millet porridge, steamed buns, and eggs, along with some side dishes. The matsutake mushroom and meat sauce were especially delicious! They went perfectly with the meal. Now, about the owner's family – they are all incredibly warm and friendly. Chatting with them, you realize they're genuinely kind people. They even gave us recommendations for attractions and tips for our visit. If we came back late and saw the owner, she'd always greet us with a few kind words. Although we only stayed for a short two days, we felt a real sense of belonging. Words can't fully express it, but I'll definitely recommend this place if I come back to Shangri-La or if any friends visit. Finally, I wish the owner lasting joy and health, and a thriving business."

"O lugar foi perfeito para uma parada de uma noite. O chuveiro era quentinho, com luzes aconchegantes, as toalhas e o cobertor eram grossos, os travesseiros grandes e macios – dormimos muito bem! O quarto também era espaçoso, com chinelos e boas comodidades. Além disso, o serviço e a experiência foram ótimos: um motorista veio buscar nossas malas na beira da estrada com um carrinho pequeno (super fofo!), então não precisamos carregar quatro malas pelas ruas de pedra. A caminhada do ponto de partida, onde o motorista nos deixou, foi bem curta (2 a 3 minutos). O mesmo aconteceu na nossa saída, com o ponto de encontro no 一棵树客栈. Quando pedimos recomendações de restaurantes, os funcionários nos deram várias sugestões com entusiasmo e até avisaram os funcionários do 疯牛宫 (onde jantamos) que estávamos lá, e eles nos deram um 酸梅汤 de cortesia (e estava delicioso!). Quando tivemos um pequeno problema com a pia, a equipe veio imediatamente e resolveu. Serviço e experiência nota 10! 🙏🏼 Muito obrigado!"

O proprietário é incrivelmente atencioso, gentil e acolhedor — ele até nos ajudou pessoalmente a levar as malas até o quarto, o que nos fez sentir muito bem cuidados. "Tivemos uma experiência maravilhosa no Hotel Meiluolanting durante nossa visita a Lijiang! Desde o momento em que chegamos, a equipe se superou com seu serviço prestativo e entusiasmado. O quarto era limpo, fresco e exatamente o que precisávamos para uma estadia confortável. A localização é realmente especial – situado dentro da Cidade Velha, fica a cerca de 10 a 15 minutos a pé do principal ponto de encontro. Embora isso possa parecer inconveniente a princípio, na verdade é um passeio adorável pelas charmosas ruas da cidade antiga, e acabamos apreciando muito essa caminhada tranquila. A atmosfera autêntica compensa de sobra a curta distância. Um agradecimento especial à equipe e a BaoGe pelo upgrade de quarto inesperado! Esse gesto atencioso tornou nossa estadia ainda mais memorável. "The rooms looks quite old, there was some mold in the washroom top too, but apart from that, the ambience, environment, rooftop, services, washing and drying facilities, everything was top notch. If they restore the room conditions a bit better, then it's definitely a 5/5. The location was also quite close and walking distance to Lijiang Old town, and Shuhe old town was not far away. The owner helped me book Jude Dragon Snow Mountain day tour and also I trekked the Tiger leaping Gorge, and he helped me manage a seat for me in a shared van that took me to the starting point of the trekking area."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. One of the highlights was the breakfast arrangement — the hotel partnered with two excellent local restaurants, giving us the chance to choose between them and enjoy authentic traditional breakfasts. It was such a lovely way to experience the local food culture. The staff were truly outstanding. Everyone was incredibly kind, always smiling, and ready to help whenever we needed anything. They even gave us some local traditional snacks, which was a very thoughtful and heart-warming touch. A very special thank you to Miss Chen and Miss Shi. They were both incredibly warm, patient, and attentive, and made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. Their kindness and care really stood out and made our stay even more memorable.
