As far as the hotels around Yixi Square are concerned, the infrastructure is generally poor. Most of them have no windows or inner windows. The rooms are mostly partitioned. Several hotels and guest houses in a building are mixed together and are inferior to each other. This shows that these buildings may not consider hotel management needs at the beginning of construction, and can only be renovated in the later stage. The hotel I stayed in was the closest to the square and the highest rated hotel that I could book that night. I also directly chose the most expensive room type because the official pictures looked very good. In fact, I changed the room twice after I checked in. It was not until the third room was closer to the room condition described on Ctrip. The first two buildings are supposed to be low-level rooms. Although I only sleep for three or four hours, the quality of the room is still very important. The floor-to-ceiling windows are facing the East Station Building. The morning wake-up service did not show up, but fortunately, I ordered an alarm watch. Finally, I have to say that Zhengzhou is still far away from the standard of an excellent city. I traveled to Zhengzhou for business trip, and have to use railway and subway as transportation. So, I booked the hotel because it is very close to Zhengzhou East Railway Station, just around 5 minutes walking, however the surrounding restaurants and convenience stores are a bit far from the hotel.
