On the magnificent West Cliff of Whitby, this family-run guest house offers comfortable en suite accommodation, wonderful sea views, free wireless internet access and a tasty breakfast. Situated in a quiet side road, the Middleham has a good location from which to enjoy Whitby, within easy reach of all that this pretty seaside town has to offer. The seafront is just 150 metres away and the town centre is just 5 minutes’ walk away. You can take the cliff lift or walk down to Whitby’s miles of golden sands. Explore the charming old town with its narrow cobble streets or walk up the 199 steps to St Mary’s church and Whitby Abbey. The spacious en suite rooms include double, family and king-size four-poster rooms. Some of the rooms have stunning sea views. Each room has a TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers and an alarm clock/radio. Free wireless internet access is available throughout. There is a large resident’s lounge, with a TV and video. You are welcome to bring your own wine and beer, and glasses are available for you to use. A full English breakfast is included in the price. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereals, followed by a full English breakfast. Vegetarian options are also available. My sister and I stayed here recently for 3 nights. The hosts Mick and Sheila were kind, friendly and the perfect hosts. The room was lovely and clean and had a table & chairs in the window with views of the church. Also there was a fridge outside on the landing which was brilliant to keep wine, food etc! The breakfast was delicious from cereals, fruit juice, fresh fruit salad which was so fresh and delicious with optional greek yoghurt, cooked breakfast , eggs benedict, and anything that you fancied. It's been a real treat and The Middleham B&B was the icing on the cake. Thank you Mick & Sheila. Kathryne & Marlene

Absolutely couldn’t ask for more, everything catered for by the wonderful Sheila and Mick, rooms are spot on, roomy and spotlessly clean, breakfast supberb, if you’re looking for a b n b in Whitby you can’t do better than the middleham ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a two night stay at The Middleham whilst walking the Cleveland Way. B&B in good location and received a really warm welcome from Sheila and Mick. Twin room was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed (TV, WiFi, small table and chairs, use of a fridge just outside room). Had nice big windows with view of church opposite. Breakfast was great ( fresh fruit, cooked breakfast with good quality ingredients) and set us up for a day walking. We would definitely stay again!

We had a 2 night stay here August bank Holiday weekend. Sheila and Mick are wonderful hosts. Our room on the top floor was modern, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, very well cooked, nothing was too much trouble. The Middleham is convenient for walking into Whitby, and we had a discounted parking pass for the nearby car park for our whole stay. This place is a real gem and we would definitely return.

Just returned from the Middleham Hotel, B&B, it's was outstanding in every area. -prefect position for Whitby harbor -good car parking -excellent comfy ensuit rooms and king-size bed -tea and coffee facilities -fresh towels, toiletries -excellent breakfast Above all Sheila and Mick have gone out of their way to accommodate our needs and we thank you for your hospitality. We would definately revisit and stay again. Thank you once again.

Spent the weekend here for the whitby fish and ships festival shiela and mick were the perfect host they made us feel really welcome, the room was amazing had a sea view. The breakfast was amazing and nothing was to much trouble would I stay again most definitely

We have just returned from a 3 night stay and would definately stay there again. The room was very clean and the bed was really comfy! There was also a great choice for breakfast. Sheila & Mick make great hosts and made us feel very welcome.

Great accommodation , lovely hosts. Very comfortable room with view towards the seafront and sea. Good choice for breakfast , well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. . Easy walk to all the attractions. Parking very close by arranged by the hosts. Highly recommended !

We stayed at the Middleham on the recommendation of my nephew who stays here frequently and we were not disappointed. The guest house was well located with plenty of parking in the West car park, with a parking voucher supplied at a discounted rate by our host. Mick & Sheila were the perfect hosts, very friendly and accommodating. Our room, on the 1st floor, was very clean, modern with a very comfortable bed. Fresh milk was supplied for drinks in the room from a refrigerator on the next floor up, and the property was very tastefully decorated with interesting photos and pictures on the walls. The cooked breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. There were cereals, fresh fruit, and yogurts also available. Thank you for a pleasant stay and we will come back again
