The Watergate Hotel Georgetown

My first room was ok until the lights started flickering and wouldn't turn off. The TV n remote then malfunctioned. So i went to the front desk and De'Angelo helped us. He sent a staff up top check it out. After thr engineer came up, he left to tell De'Angelo to switch or room. So they did, but only thing they had available was a downgraded room, so he put in some notes for us and got us comped a room with a balcony for out last night's stay. He and the night staff are excellent and he's only been here a short while. Now the day staff on other hand was terrible. Went t.i grint desk at 11 to inquire about our room upgrade, and was told it's being prepared, but we didn't get switched until about 4pm. We had an itinerary that we couldnt complete due to us waiting for our room switch. Also asked room service for 2 sets of silverware, and they brought them up about an hour and a half later, and also entered our room without notice while iwas in the shower. So when u come to the Watergate, your night experience will be way more enjoyable then dealing with day staff.

Foggy Bottom
We’ve been going to the River inn for over 35 years and as always, had a wonderful time. A special thanks to Bettina and Brandy, at the front desk, for ensuring that we got a spacious room facing the charming tree lined street. The River Inn, all suites, offers the absolute best location ( and value) in Foggy Bottom, with an array of restaurants, lively GW campus, Metro only 3 blocks away, quick walk to Georgetown and a nice stroll down to the Lincoln Memorial.

Close to Washington's main attractions, just north of the Lincoln Memorial, 15 minutes walk, within the Georgetown campus, the rooms are small, the facilities are neat, although the bunks, but It will not be a few days, and it will be there. There is a parking lot nearby to park, and it costs 21 US dollars a day. It is acceptable in a place like Washington. There is no breakfast in the hotel. Two streets are the Watergate Hotel and the office building. There are coffee shops and fast food restaurants in the sinking garden where you can have breakfast. It is also convenient.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. In fact, we're booked to stay again this upcoming week-end. The staff was friendly and courteous. The location was close to all the museums. I can't say enough good things about our accommodations.

This is my first trip to Washington. My main goals are the Memorial Museum and the Dupont Circle Weekend Market in Georgetown. This hotel is very suitable for visiting these areas. There is a bus at the door. It is only a short walk to the Lincoln Memorial and the Kennedy Center. The room It is large and fully functional, with a small kitchen and dining table and chairs suitable for making simple meals. There is a CVS downstairs, and it is more convenient to walk to Whole Foods or the Internet celebrity restaurant Tatte from the lobby on the north side. Recommended for a short stay.

Foggy Bottom
I stayed here for business meetings. The hotel is in SERIOUS need of a makeover. I'm not a big fan of residence inns given the variability in their quality, but I chose this place for the location and for price. I know why I got the price. The hotel is right next to GWU and Foggy Bottom Metro and it's great location for running if one wants to go to mall or over to Arlington.
