The hotel upgrades our largest suites, the rooms are elegant and inviting, with a kitchenette, their own sauna and fitness equipment. Breakfast is in the roof garden, the atmosphere is not too good. Downstairs is the shopping Via condotti. Hotel staff are friendly and friendly. The only problem is that it feels less soundproof.

Very good location, 200 meters walk from the Spanish Steps. The surrounding area is surrounded by all the big-name stores, and the window show is very satisfying. There are a lot of popular restaurants in the surrounding area, and breakfast choices are not much better than the ingredients. Hotel location is very central, go to the station airport. If you don't book a car in advance, it is very convenient to go to the subway to the central station to change to the airport express line.

Deserves to be a five-star hotel, the service is amazing, and the bedding is very comfortable. Excellent location right on top of the Spanish steps. Because I booked six nights, I got a free room with a small balcony. As soon as I entered the room, I was pleasantly surprised. There were welcome fruits and a welcome card with my name printed on it (still bilingual in Chinese and English). The cleaning service is professional and clean. Free water and chocolate every day and a bottle of red wine. There is a Mixing restaurant on the sixth floor of the hotel. Unfortunately, I did not go to taste this time. Before I left, I went to the restaurant on the first floor of his house. Angus steak was superb and delicious. In short, such a hotel is worth going to Rome again.

This is a really very good hotel. I enjoyed the quality of the staff,the room ,the location and general quality of the Hotel. It would have got 5 stars but for 2 things.. and both relate to Cielo bar..a superb place for a visitor to Rome staying in the hotel to enjoy the great views of Rome particularly at sunset and a drink. Firstly,we arrived at the rooftop bar to find it full of people not staying in the hotel and there was no priority whatsoever for guests of the hotel. Here the bar and the views were filled with locals paying 16 euros for a drink and the guests paying hundreds of euros each night could not get a seat..and the Restaurant above not open till 7.30. Secondly,the appalling loud music at the bar was totally disruptive to a sophisticated enjoyment of the view trumpeted in the hotels advertising.. It detracted from the general quality of the hotel.. The Hausler next door has a total priority policy for guests next to the De La Ville on their rooftop and indeed our existing hotel in Portifino the same,. Pity it detracted from our stay.

The first night of check-in was delayed until 11 pm due to an accident on the highway from Florence to Rome. At the front desk, the old man at the reception told us that he was the last guest today. He was very considerate to upgrade the room for us. Mysteriously, he took out a hidden key that can open the hidden floor that cannot be seen on the elevator-the sixth floor . To be honest, I still feel very happy here, because the hotel has a history of more than 100 years, we were actually assigned to the ”secret floor”. I was a little excited, and my brain filled a lot of ”What has happened on the sixth floor? ”. But when I opened the room, they looked half as small as the superior suites I ordered, and didn't even have a bathtub. So call the front desk to verify, the old man at the front desk informed that this room is indeed called deluxe suites, which is higher than superior. I discussed with him, why the higher-level room could not even open the two suitcases, and the little old man was helpless, and told the truth that I know that all the rooms are fully booked today, and I can only change rooms tomorrow. Ok, I understand that the hotel just had to hide the 6th floor name as as deluxe suites ..... but it is actually a classic room (rolling its eyes). . . The difference between classic and superior is about RMB 1,000. I called Ctrip for the first time to ask questions and solutions. I also showed the room photos, and the difference between the order description (the difference between 15 and 35). The phrase ”the hotel said that it has upgraded the room for you” will roll another hundred eyes. . . The hotel changed rooms the next day, but it was just changed to my original specifications, because in the honeymoon, I didn't want to toss anymore. But disappointed with Ctrip's approach.

I stayed for more than 500 nights and stayed in the building where I checked in. The soundproofing of the hotel is really bad, and the next door can be heard clearly. The room for more than two thousand and one night is no different from the new one in the room toilet facilities of more than 500. We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

The location is great, less 10 mins walk (with luggage) from Roma Termini. Room is clean and spacious (we got free upgrade!!). Supermarket is also quite near. About 20 mins walk to the colosseum. Will stay there again.

Cospa is the best. Very convenient right next to the station. Rooms are clean and like a Japanese business hotel. Breakfast was simple but enough. The shower is small but I would like to stay again if I come to Rome next time. (I think there is no inconvenience even for couples)

What a wonderful little hotel in the madness of Rome. Was welcomed with such warmth from reception and arrived early but was told our room was ready which was a very pleasant surprise enabling us to start exploring the city. The rooms are lovely and big with a large wardrobe and desk, very comfortable bed and a very large bathroom. Breakfast was a great choice with a warm welcome from Adriana who was always genuinely interested on our plans for the day. All of the reception staff very extremely helpful on giving us recommendations for restaurants and bars. This hotel isn’t a boring corporate hotel but a genuine Roman family hotel and treats their guests with such warmth. It’s location is perfect so be able to walk to all of the major sights and has some great restaurants and gelato shops within seconds of the door.

Is not a 4 stars Hotel. The rules of hoteleries is very clear in how and what to demand according to hotel stars . Build a spa and give a breakfast is just ” normal duties ” now days. Hotel clarion unfortunately went down in class dramatically, spoiled of the high tourist the quality of the hotel went down. Rooms the beds are very uncomfortable,once you inform te desk no action, but just this is our bad ,we have not heard this complaint before , wrong. You can't charge the ipad without the key, don't come is for the environmental, because is no true , but if I go for a walk a want charge my ipad I should be able without sticking other card Inside. The bar ,changing from sofas to bar chair and table is very wrong, this bar is built for relax is not a pub . Voucher , this is a general complaint to all the Clarion , is not up to you or my health if with my Voucher I want pay a beer ,otherwise give me a credit on the price or accumulate the money and I can use when I want . Final comment. Sorry you went from 4 star to a 3 over rated star hotel

Wonderful hotel, perfect location just a few minute's walk from Stora Torget. Clean, cozy rooms, fantastic breakfast, pleasant staff, very reasonably priced. Plenty of street parking available when we were there (beginning of May). (*) There is, however something we'd like to point out. In order to conserve water, the hotel encourages its guests to ”say no to room cleaning”, to keep washing towels and bed linens to a minimum. Great in theory, especially if you are only there a few nights. We had a longer stay, and would have appreciated our room being tidied up a bit (after all, we're paying the service). Since no staff came in the room, towards the end of our stay, we had to hunt down toilet paper and shower gel, and our trash can was overflowing. Luckily we were able to get hold of the receptionist before she left for the day to get a new TP roll. Most hotels clean rooms daily, and change towels when guests request that. The universal ”throw towels on the bathroom floor if you want new ones” would have worked well at Hotell Slottsbacken. We were left with the feeling that while we were trying to be environmentally conscious, we were giving the cleaning crew a free pass. That said, we would absolutely stay at Hotell Slottsbacken again if we ever return to Gotland.

First of all I would like to point out that I didn’t in fact stay here, but popped in for a coffee to warm myself after a long walk to Högklint and back. They have a small bar/café /restaurant where they serve lunch. I ordered a Cappuccino, and received it beautifully served on a small wood plank together with a couple of pieces of chocolate. It tasted lovely, and service was quick, efficient and friendly. To be recommended!
