As a regular visitor to Campanile in Vilvoorde I can only say that the food was magnificent. I stay in Campanile every couple of months for business and when Elvira is cooking in the kitchen the food is always amazing The hotel rooms could do with a a refurb and new mattress but the staff are always welcoming and make the stay enjoyable. Let’s start with the two positives. One, the staff were absolutely lovely, so incredibly helpful, going above and beyond to assist us. Perfect English and just genuinely nice people. Two -it’s quirky. As an ex jail some of the features are interesting, although the dark and tatty hallways did nothing for it I’m afraid. So, the reality of this stay. Uncomfortable. We had two single beds pushed together and they were like a bouncy castle. I fell off the edge one night because the very very poor mattress didn’t stay on the base. It was like a big inflatable. There are no facilities in rooms for tea/coffee. The hotel does not do food other than breakfast. This hotel accommodates many surgery patients who have to stick to a liquid diet. Not so easy when no food at hotel and no kettle in room. Patients are not always able to walk any distance to get into town to buy anything. The room was hat I called “surface clean” it was not clean to standards I’d expect. Thick pockets of Dust and the cleaning service did not come near our room in the 5 days we stayed. They have no till at the bar so It’s exact money only with no change given or use a card (which if you’re pounds sterling will add a charge From bank) At €120 per night, was it worth that? No it certainly was not. For that accommodation I’d expect To pay €95 a night tops. Again I must finish with how fabulous the staff all were. In a better hotel our trip would have been perfect Staff actually heated a tin of soup for me also which they didn’t need to do. So kind

In my experience hotels such as the Holiday Inn Airport Brussels are few and far between. They were prompt, efficient, had answers to all our questions, and catered to our whims. The lobby/main floor caters to the comforts of their guests with a lounge area, bar area, restaurant area, and an outdoor area. The breakfast and dinner was superb (I had the salmon for dinner). Perhaps an improvement could be made to the three slight level differences in the room as it would be safer for those who are a bit wobbly on their feet.

Stayed here two nights in mid-January 2023. Hotel is located in a gritty area, with much construction, but just a five minute walk to the main train station, with many transit connections. It's about a 10 - 20 minute walk to various tourist sites in the city. There are convenience stores and dining options nearby. Staff was OK but not overly friendly. Single room was small, but clean and the price was fair. There was a heating/AC unit on the wall but one button was missing and it didn't appear to be working. Temp was OK. There was a small desk and chair. Shower and sink were in the room and toilet in a small closet. The window opened into a narrow ventilation shaft so it was rather dark. Wifi, lights and TV worked fine. I didn't pay for the breakfast. It wasn't great, but it did the trick.

We stayed for 2 nights, a Friday and Saturday and had arrived at 1pm but were told we couldn’t check in as too early although we didn’t need the room but it would of saved time as when we came back at 3.30 – there was a long line and an hour wait, so not the best start. Then our room was on the 1st floor when we’d requested a high floor (there are 8 floors). We used the stairs and were greeted by an awful smell, lots of rubbish and dirty laundry by the service lift. The corridor is dark and the carpet desperately needed vacuuming! The room view/ambiance was very disappointing as so dark and gloomy as per photos. Anyway, other than the noise outside from the trams and drunken party goers late at night – you might get some sleep if you’re not a light sleeper like me as even ear plugs couldn’t block out the noise. The bed was huge and very comfy with 2 x single duvets, room was large/clean and bathroom had a good shower/ hot water. There are only 2 pillows which are very soft, fortunately we had our own (as we had travelled by car). There is a fridge in the room and coffee/tea/kettle. Breakfast was chaos Saturday morning; everything had run out and hadn’t been replenished. Lots of people complaining and I overheard someone saying they wouldn’t be paying. The next day wasn’t quite as hectic (we went earlier to avoid the rush). Still very busy but at least there was butter for the bagels/bread and eggs in the cooked station. What we had was enjoyable especially the sausages. If you’re staying more than one night, there is the option to have a voucher for a free drink instead of housekeeping which we went for. Parking: Public car park located under the hotel and costs 22 euros per 24 hours. No discount available for hotel guests. Location: Easy to get around from here on foot although unfortunately there were quite a few homeless people/beggars in the area. With so many hotels available, we wouldn’t return to this one.

Probably the worse experience check-in so far! We arrived early and asked politely to the staff what time is the check-in, this particular staff name Tobe M. was very rude and responded at 3pm. So we went around town and came back at 2:50pm to check-in, this staff was very unfriendly saying it was not 3:00pm yet, eventually he let us in. But overall the check-in experience was such a nigh**are. Breakfast was good though.
