Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable. Meals are delicious. It's a nice experience to stay at blue lagoon, I'll definitely go back again in the future. The resort has different activities every day and have trip to the sawa-i-lau cave some days or can climb the mountain. Highly recommend.

Where do I start??!!! This place is simply incredible!! So first of all I booked a really (very) nice hotel resort on the mainland for me and my wife. But then I worried I wouldn't get the Fiji experience we were looking for. So then I found Coconut Beach Resort (CBR) - and I am so so glad I did and that we switched to going to CBR. My dealings initially were through Sheung (who jointly owns CBR) with Alex. Sheung was helpful at every single stage and even organised our helicopter transfer with Island Hoppers which was so easy and such a great experience too. When we arrived by helicopter onto the beach at CBR we were greeted by lots of staff welcoming us with singing and smiles. Our bags were taken to our room. We were checked in so personally with a coconut drink in our hands. Then taken to our bungalow - which was amazing. There were only 8 other guests on the island with us. I highly recommend the helicopter as it's only a 30 minute transfer and is an amazing experience. The food was amazing - with incredible views from where we sat a few feet from the beach. Staff sing at every meal. The coconut lined tree soft sand beach is wonderful and the gentle sea was like a bath. The gardens are immaculate. Whilst there I took the opportunity to do some scuba diving as CBR has its own PADI dive centre which is exclusively for the handful of guests. This is a real luxury! So the dives are super personal with either a couple of other guests or just with the dive guide and they are all within around 10 minutes from CBR by boat from the beach. The diving here is incredible with great reefs, fantastic marine life, and lots of sharks. The dive equipment was really high quality (Apeks regulators, Suunto dive computers, great BCD's) and the dive masters, a married couple called Mike and Faustine, were incredible. They were super knowledgeable, helpful, happy to do whatever gives you the best experience - and they helped me back into diving after I'd had a break from it. Mike and Faustine were super sociable and we had fun with them and will miss them, but hope to dive with them when we are back. Finally, the thing that makes this place is the staff. They are absolutely AMAZING. So caring, kind, lovely and beautiful people. Always happy, always with a smile and sense of fun. They entertained us with so many things (crab races, coconut tree climbing, bracelet making, visits to sea caves, visits to a local school on a neighbouring island - a great experience!!!). Anything we wanted they organised. We will miss them so much, (Betta, Terri, Manu, Api, Vata, Abu, Phillip, Mike, Faustine, Alex, and so many others). This is truly a boutique special experience. We loved our 5 days and are sad to have left but we will be back!!!! Do yourself a favour and go to this place if you are serious about experiencing Fiji at its best. This is the closest place to paradise. Maybe the outer island is the same, but the difference is that the staff will take the initiative to help you arrange it every day. The activities of the day are different every day, such as taking you out to sea snorkeling in the morning and giving you coconut culture in the afternoon. And almost all of them are free. They will use the most easy-to-understand English and body language exchanges. There are many opportunities for other tourists on the island to meet, and because of the activities, everyone communicates like a neighbor, friendly, and eats. Take their best, and the price is really the cheapest, even if there is only one person at every meal, the black brother will play guitar for you not far away, accompany you with the most beautiful songs in the local area, their Service staff and event staff, we are like family, chat, dance together, go out to sea and play together, I never thought that I would not want to leave this place, anyway, I will definitely come again, here is really worth it! ! !

In addition to the price point, the other is good, the food is also very good, that is, the island is not very big. With the old man and the child, I went to the back of the mountain, very beautiful.

Great service! Great lunch and good dinner! They propose you the snorkelling with the sharks which is amazing! It is must do thing in Fiji and in life! They have also a good diving center and you can dive also with the sharks which is awesome The shared bathroom facility is really clean and new! Just a negative thing is the safari room, the tent room is great idea but it needs some adjustment and if it is windy you feel like you are sleeping after the stars! But If they improve the tents it is perfect! I liked also the cocktails and the guy at the bar was really funny!

Very good outside island hotel, the design is more attentive. The time spent on the island was very relaxed, the meal was served, the breakfast was a buffet mode, and the lunch and dinner were Western food but very delicious. Snorkeling is great. The scenery is great.

Transportation: From vuda Marina, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off. Going to other places needs to communicate with the island owner. The boss is super enthusiastic. Going to cloud9 also found his friends to send us. Although the boat to cloud9 is not good, it is very exciting (500fjd a boat) Hygiene: Health is still very clean, Sapporo is around the island after snorkeling, you will bring a lot of sand to the bed. Environment: The environment is great, the beach on the front of the hotel is very garbage, but the beach on the other side of the island is very good. Focus! Focus! Focus! Snorkeling around the island can see turtles, and luckily you can see ”friendly” sharks! Service: Service top! After the explosion of Shangri-La brand hotel (brand hotel is a lot of people, the service staff is not very enthusiastic, even ordering is not positive, water is not given). The service staff on the island will even remember your name to say hello. When there are many people, there are kava welcome parties and bonfire parties. It makes people feel that all aspects are served very thoughtfully. After returning to the main island, the hotel will arrange for you to rent. We emphasized that we have to play the watch (the driver who does not play the watch is slaughtered indiscriminately), the taxi from vuda Marina to Shangri-La hotel is less than 80 dollars, but from Shangri-La to the airport is slaughtered indiscriminately by brand hotel 120 dollars. Advantages: warm service, super enthusiasm, few people in the island, can play alone on the beach, the island is very quiet, the water around the island is also very good, there are many fish and turtles Disadvantages: There are many free activities (boating, paddleboarding) that need to be consulted by yourself. There are no bright corals nearby. The brunch is relatively simple. Wi-Fi is not good.

The website photos makes this look like a luxe stay but the bures have a tired, worn-out feel and need a lot of maintenance. I suspect the pictures were taken fifteen years ago when the resort opened and not much upkeep has been done since. The floors are faded and scratched - a simple refinishing would go a long way. The structure has apparently settled as there are gaps in the joints and the bathroom ceiling sags. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower head has corroded out in a few places and delivers a seriously inconsistent spray. Design-wise, the water closet is too small: everything is based on one-meter squares and it's smaller than an airplane toilet. (I hit my head on the door every time I sat down on the toilet). The water heater for our bure is much too small (probably 100 litres) and running out of hot water was the norm. Also no showers back-to-back, the heater needs recovery time. While the photos show all of these wide-open doors to let the outside in, when we suggested it the staff said it was a bad idea because of all the mosquitos. They also helpfully suggested that we don't take a walk to the beach down the road as a number of guests have been robbed while walking down the road. I'm not sure how the website can claim that the bures are 860 square feet; the interior space is 4x8 meters (344 sq feet) and including the outside verandah, the size is 52 sq meters (560 sq feet). Maybe the footprint of the canvas roof is 860 square feet but claiming that as the size of the bure is quite a stretch. On the positive side: The grounds are beautiful, the staff was very helpful and the food was quite good. If the owners had just taken six months of the COVID shutdown to perform some routine maintenance, and if the grounds were in a safer location, this would have been an easy recommendation. As it is, we wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend it to friends...
