"Staying with friend and rang and email saying wanted Twin or two beds.  Ended up with a large double. No bar or restaurant as advertised on your website. Very dissappointed. Bed was very comfortable though and so was the room. Perfect location to spot the hot air balloons which is why I picked this hotel so very pleased."

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Bristol with our family! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The family room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully arranged to suit both adults and children. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options that kept everyone happy — from fresh fruits and pastries to hot, cooked dishes. The hotel’s location was perfect for exploring Bristol, with great access to local attractions and transport links. What really stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Every interaction, from reception to housekeeping, was friendly and efficient, making our stay all the more enjoyable. Thank you to the entire team at Holiday Inn Bristol for making our family trip so memorable. We would not hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!"

"Very comfortable hotel right at the canals. Very close to a major restaurant and club area so a bit loud in the evening but windows are well insulated. Comfortable bed and well maintained bathroom. Staff was friendly. There is a large parking garage next to the hotel and 24 hour parking, when paid at the hotel, is £18."

"The good things about the hotel were its location. Close to restaurants, a famous Banksy or two, lots of shops and theatres. Is a beautiful hotel with nice places to sit and meet if you are in a group. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The car park, despite being £17 per night, was actually better value than other options nearby and we were able to leave the car there until midnight on the day of check out. The negatives were that we were not able to get a reservation in the hotel restaurant which we found unusual. We had a group from 8 to 80 so we were worried about walking yet had no choice as they couldn’t fit us in. They were also impossible to contact as they didn’t reply to messages. There was chaos at check in with guests waiting for up to an hour to check in and get their keys. There were long queues for over two hours from 3pm to at least 5pm. Their excuse was that the hotel was fully booked but it’s not as though they didn’t know all those people were coming! They should have been prepared and there were a lot of unhappy customers that Saturday evening. Some front desk staff were flustered and sorry but couldn’t do anything about it and some didn’t seem to care. We were there a bit earlier so they could have got the process started but they wouldn’t so we had to queue twice. We were quite fed up. Even after all that and me paying £68 for 4 cars I had to keep repeating that I had already paid that and the next day. Something in the system needs to change as it’s frustrating to spend 2 hours checking in when you are only staying for 1 night. Perhaps if they are expecting so many people again they could put out tea and coffee in the tea lounge with a screen to enter and pay for your car and then have some kind of ticket system where you are called to the desk when it’s your turn. It certainly needs better management as it’s not the welcome you expect when you’ve paid to stay in the Marriott brand."

"Wow! Where do I even start? After a stressful time in the bus and getting wrong directions from the hire car GPS being out of date, arriving at this place made everything worthwhile. Firstly the place is incredibly classy and stylish, both inside and out. The place resembles a mansion. Then the room. Much larger than any I'd stayed in the UK up to that point and with fantastic central heating, couch and bay window. Then there are the many lovely lounge areas all through the facility as well as bar open long hours with Alfie providing first class help and service. Other staff worth highlighting are Alicia with her excellent attentive breakfast help. Lily and Shae at the front desk were both very helpful. In spite of a small issue, Shae went above and beyond to fix the issue even though it was late. This place is amazing value and I would recommend it highly to anyone visiting Bristol. Although it's a little out of the way, the extra effort in terms of car rental or Uber costs are more than worth it. ."

"Beautifully and exceptionally clean hotel lobby and room but room decor was very cold and bland. Comfy bed, lovely shower and great range of products to use. We had a very good breakfast included in our stay and lots of choice. Atmosphere was very flat and depressing - no chatter or conversation from staff which was a shame - probably the constant depressing ‘music’ which was being played. Location was about a 10-15 min walk into Bristol which was fine for us as we love walking. The hotel overlooks graffitied waste ground and the ring road runs right next to it so no lovely views sadly. Most staff looked glum, no conversation or friendliness just bored young staff behind the bar. One lady at reception made up for all of them with her super-bubbly personality. Quite a few were on their phones - hotel was very quiet for a bank holiday. NO parking on-site but there is use of another nearby. Food was okay-to-good - nothing outstanding and quite expensive but only to be expected in a city hotel. Overall, it was worth the discounted price we got it for - definitely would have looked elsewhere if it had been full price."

"Environment: The hotel is in a good location, and it is very convenient to walk, take the bus, go to the supermarket, and eat Facilities: The room is relatively large, the bathroom is spacious, and two bottles of water are provided every day, as well as tea and coffee You must stay in a high-rise room when staying here, definitely. We were given the 5th floor at first, and the room was small and dark. By the way, the lack of lights in the room is a small problem. Living in a high-rise not only has a good view of the church and the Ferris wheel, but the key is that it is very bright. I stayed there for seven days and was satisfied when I moved to a high-rise room"

"I have to say that I’ve worried in the beginning when I was booking it. Some reviews brought me concerns. However, after I got my room, everything is good enough for the price we paid. I would not say it’s super clean and super nice but it’s good enough for stay. They do daily room cleaning. All the facilities you need are there. Especially the gym and the health centre are amazing. For the price I am paying I would not expect that. The location is perfect. Short walk from the train station and short walk to all the attractions. Makes it easy to in and out. The room I’ve got is also quiet. Overall I would definitely come back again if I ever come to Bristol. This is a highlight of our trip."
