"We absolutely loved it here. The hotel is located literally at the Moon Fen. The famous «running on water» scene from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Hongcun is ver beautiful city. The hotel is a small cosy and beautiful hotel with efficient and friendly staff. It was the perfect location for us when exploring Hongcun and nearby activities and attractions like Mukeng Bamboo Forest, Huangshan Mountains and Xidi Town. 10/10 recommend."

"The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there. When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter. Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street. Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!"

Unlike most hotels within the village, this hotel has conserved the architecture of the exterior and interior of the over 300 years old structure. It is well maintained with modern amenities and a nice manicured garden filled with bonsai plants. The Chinese breakfast was simple and nice. The menu has a good range of beverages and the food was good at reasonable prices. The room we stayed was small but cozy. "We used this as a base to get around different scenic areas. It was close to the west parking lot of Hongcun, where several buses can take you to different places, including the Huangshan Scenic Area. The hotel was tastefully decorated and most distinctively, it had a movie lounge and a tea appreciation area. Make use of the hotel's golf cart service to get to the west parking lot and back. There were afternoon snacks provided and they varied each day. The only downside was probably the lack of shops within a 200m radius."

Despite being there way off-season, I still received a warm welcome. The whole facility is fun to walk around; there are many places to just sit and relax while watching the beautiful landscapes. I was really surprised when I saw a bunch of bunnies and geese in some areas—they add a nice touch to the atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The rooms are good, with a nice view of the mountains. The food is simply amazing, and the breakfast was beyond all expectations. The staff were very nice and helpful, and overall my stay there was very, very enjoyable! I hope to visit you again when it gets a bit warmer.

The service was great and the family was very kind. The garden, rooms and buildings were beautiful and very charming. The B&B dog was very cute and well behaved. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to explore the B&B and pet the dog as much as we wanted, since we spend most time at the nearby attractions! Both lunch, dinner and breakfast was great and the menu seemed to include a lot of delicious traditional Anhui cuisine. We had the stinky fish and braised chicken for dinner and it was absolutely amazing and interesting to try a different Chinese kitchen. We had a great stay and we would definitely recommend staying here!

A cosy hotel with attentive and friendly staff. I chose a room without the smell of tobacco, and it truly was odour-free. The location is quiet, and breakfast is served at the table in the dining area. The only downside to my stay was the behaviour of some inconsiderate guests who arrived around midnight, shouting at each other and watching television for about 2-3 hours. I reported this to reception, but it seems the staff were already asleep and unable to address the issue promptly.

Zhang Mansion is a peaceful oasis from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village, its decor and furnishing is fitting with the historic setting but with modern, clean and comfortable amenities. Would definitely stay again and would strongly recommend to others! Hotel manager was very communicative, but you need to have WeChat. They can communicate in English by message with you. The rooms were stunning, service was excellent and the communal areas were beautiful and comfortable. Hotel breakfast was freshly made and they were able to accommodate our requests. Some of the rooms require ascending steep stairs, so if you have accessibility needs it would be best to inform the hotel in advance. Bedrooms are comfortable and cosy. The addition of the tea ceremony area is brilliant. The mattresses and bedding were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with good pressure hot water. The hotel also put us in touch with a honest and reliable driver that we used for transfers from the bullet train station as well as a trip to Huang Shan (yellow mountain).

O serviço é bom, o chefe vai buscá-lo e deixá-lo, a higiene é boa, a cama é bastante confortável, o quarto pode estar muito úmido e com cheiro de mofo. O preço durante o Dia Nacional pelo menos triplicou, e a relação preço/desempenho é demasiado baixa.Se for o preço habitual, deveria ser.É razoável dizer que Hongcun não vale a pena ficar por uma noite.Além de dois lagos e alguns edifícios antigos, não há muito para ver. O ambiente da cidade antiga é muito pobre. Uma caminhada de duas ou três horas é suficiente. O preço em 1º de novembro é suficiente para ficar em Hangzhou. Fiquei no Le Meridien por duas noites. Não é o problema desta loja, mas o problema de todo o local panorâmico: as pessoas não vão querer voltar.

Good stay except for one small issue that should have been addressed better. The room I stayed in had faulty electrical connections so many light switches were mixed up and the bathroom shower light did not turn on. We had to shower in the dark. I raised the issue to a worker and she accused me of not knowing how to use light switches. She further complained to me about another customer who raised similar issues to her. It was very unprofessional. Later that day, a different worker came to the room to look at the problem and confirmed that the switches didn’t work, and he said there is no way to fix it. They did not offer anything to resolve the issue. I will not stay here again.

O Povo está perto Da Aldeia de Xiaojiang e caminhou por Quinze minutos.Num Campo.A paisagem é boa.Mas se VEM Da Aldeia de Xiaojiang, é Muito estreita.A Torre de Repente explodiu, as montanhas e o Mar. A Sala é Muito grande.Vento de louça, todos OS produtos de cama são Muito confortáveis, e o leito também é macio e duro.Mas a cabeça é Muito macia e não há apoio.Há um louça para encher.O banheiro é Muito inteligente. Não há reboques de banheira, não há molho de roupa. O espaço de atividade fora é Grande, há gatos bonitos e encantadores, e cães de cachorro. O café Da manhã também é bom, é Muito rico.

Service was amazing! Such kind and helpful staff! The train to hotel transfer was a life saver, and they were very responsive via WeChat message. The room was absolutely stunning and the staff helped chill our sparkling wine so we could enjoy it on the terrace 😍 So many little thoughtful gestures during our stay made us feel super well looked after! We will 100% be coming back. Thanks for everything! ❤️

This location was perfect and right in the scenic area of hongcun. It’s a little difficult to find at first but once you find it it’s easy to come back to if you put it in the maps app. The town is so cute and we were welcomed with little Hand-made bookmarks which was so sweet and a wonderful surprise. The one thing that was off putting and probably a one off is it seemed that there was a large family staying in the Homestay and in the middle of the night there was screaming and doors slamming on and off throughout the night. I’m not sure if this is a regular thing or just happened to be a one night thing but it was a bit frightening. Other than that the location was very quiet when we got there and the owner was very helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay.
