Old San Juan Rentals

Amazing upgraded property (still with colonial vibe including floors, balconies, doors, windows, etc). In the heart of old San Juan. Parking was tricky but that’s everywhere in old San Juan during high season. Spotless property with A/C and W/D. This one was in Tanca Street for 10 guests. Perfect!

A sweet place to stay :) It’s a bit of a walk from the lot to the spot, so keep that in mind when bringing luggage in.

Lovely condo with amazing views from the roof top patio. super comfy beds. Had issues with the water pressure. Also on a busy corner street. Much traffic and construction noise. All in all we loved our stay. Close to everything in Old San Juan. Able to walk everywhere so did not need the expense of a car.

I'll start with the positive. The location was great with bars, restaurants and shops all within walking distance. It also had a cute roof top terrace that had a great view, a sitting area and a blow-up hot tub. Now for the negative. The apartment was not even close to what was advertised. I was very disappointed. It was a tiny cement apartment, with a tiny kitchen, then a tiny staircase up to a tiny bedroom. It reminded me of a utility room. The bed was maybe a double and up against a cement wall. I felt very claustrophobic and did not sleep well at all. My suggestion would be to advertise the apartment as is so people know what they are renting.

Super cute studio in a popular area. Only a few blocks from the governor house and the historic san juan umbrella street. Comfy bed.

First a property description. A very small room at the top of narrow, winding stairs. There was another small entry room with a sink and mini-fridge at the bottom. Clearly, this lodging was an afterthought. This room is NOT clearly described by owners. The biggies: SAFETY issues. A second story lodging. No other egress route other than stairs. NO smoke detector. NO way to shut the steel door to outside terrace. I used an electrical extension cord to pull the door closed. The steel bar does NOT engage. The downstairs hallway door does NOT lock adequately to ensure safety and security. The twin doors can be pulled open despite being locked. The same door has sharp edges that ripped a shirt on the way in. Cleanliness - At least one of the pillows had not been cleaned. The bathroom floor was also not cleaned completely (old sunflower seed and dirt). Batteries in AC remote were dead. No hot water in upstairs or downstairs sink. Not even a hot water supply line to the bathroom sink. Iron, no ironing board. No chairs - or room for them. Bed was a mattress on top of a piece of plywood supported by 4x4's. Prominent sign of replacement charges for damaged/missing items in room, but items were incomplete to start with. No coffee. I know. A small item but No cable signal

Great location! Right in the heart of all the fun so you deal with the noise that comes with it but it was all good - some girls singing in the street, people walking, talking, driving, police with their quick siren warning. You could turn the AC up to drown it out, but I didn’t. Felt so safe. People and police all around. I even walked home alone right after sunset when it wasn’t pitch dark. There were still people out, but there are only a handful of places I feel comfortable doing that. Secure entry. Fun to shop. Fun to have a balcony. There was some water dripping in the bathroom but it was just a minor annoyance

Love the place. Beautiful location. Comfortable clean. Has washer and dryer kitchen really nice overall i give it 10 out of 10

The property needs updates to mirrors (rust which appears to look like blood), cracked tiles, ceiling has holes in the bathroom, and cabinets outdated. Very difficult to get into property initially with the key and the elevator needs air conditioning in case it does get stuck. Elevator is overdue for inspection based on sticker. Prime location and overall clean! Cannot complain regarding price and location. Front desk staff is very helpful. Property just needs a facelift.
