The hotel is located in the city center. In the gas lamp block, there are many red men and women every day. There are very few Chinese people. Many foreigners should come to vacation. After paying for Ctrip, they will have to pay the resort fee after check-in, which is about 40 dollars a night. But the other us grant, which is relatively resident, has a price/performance ratio and will not stay in this hotel. As a hotel, professionalism is a little lacking. This is an old hotel with rich cultural background, all the staff are very friendly, the room service is timely and in place, the bedding and mattress are very comfortable, the breakfast is not to mention, the weekend menu will be replaced with the brunch menu. All the above advantages allow me to tolerate the only disadvantage of zero view from the window. Parking is valet, there is a cvs at the door, and there is a taco that ranks first in the United States within five minutes' walk, which is pretty good, but there is homeless on the roadside

Overall good. It would be nice to know that unlike other hotels, there is no refrigerator, bathtub, or body wash. I ate breakfast every morning, but the breakfast was not a buffet, and I used the cafe and restaurant on the first floor of Indigo. The taste is about 3.5 points. It's about $12-18, but if you don't have many families, there are many brunch shops around, so it's recommended to go out and eat. It's 30 dollars per person for breakfast, but it's already paid, but at the breakfast restaurant, the price of food is around 10 dollars, so you can order one at a time. I think it was more because I was looking forward to breakfast. Anything else is good. Sound insulation will be fine if it is not very sensitive

A pretty large resort, but with personal attention by the staff. Ground were well appointed. The rooms were very well appointed, beds comfortable, people serving us were pleasant. Would never hesitate to recommend the place. Can't wait to go back. My only complaints as follows - the one bartender at the Tequila Bar definitely wasn't into serving people with a smile. I asked him what beer he had available and he said ”some domestics and some imports”, turned and walked away. That was a turnoff. The other people who served us over the 3 nights were all fine, but not him. Also, we were on the 15th floor, yet surprisingly we could hear conversations down in the pool area, and especially the music playing. I found that as being a little odd. That is the only reason for dropping it down from 5 stars.

Where else could you stay in downtown San Diego for $28 a night? Having said that, you do give up some comforts and conveniences. You get very little privacy. There is only one bathroom that everyone uses so if you have to go really bad and someone is in the shower, you either gotta wait or find somewhere else. Sleeping can be a challenge. Besides snoring roommates, it's noisy outside. You will hear sirens, tires screeching and people shouting and blasting their music all throughout the night. They make you rent towels so bring your own if possible. If you have a rental car, like I did, parking will be an issue. Fortunately, in my case, the city was not enforcing parking restrictions when I stayed so I was able to park in front. The only option I think there is for parking is a parking garage nearly a mile away that was charging $30 a day. Finally, remember that pot is legal in California and you will smell it here. That may not bother you but if it does, I would stay elsewhere. Overall, for the price I paid, it was a good value. The people were friendly. It is an excellent location. You are only a few miles from Coronado Beach and the San Diego zoo. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. I recommend it if you want to come to San Diego but you are on a tight budget.

Horton is a very old hotel with a beautiful lobby, elegant blue and white design, and a string of lights on the trees in the yard. Stairs and elevators are old and new, and they are well protected. We booked two nights with two twin rooms with fireplaces, on the second floor, two squatting rooms but the layout was different. The room facilities and services are to be spit. The leaks in the bathtubs of our two rooms have bluish spots. The water in one room sink is only hot and the hot water is very hot. The fireplace in both rooms is not easy to use. One of them is completely can not open. Some of us have a fever, call the front desk 3 times and wait an hour to get a blanket. It is worth mentioning that most of the hotels in the West are very thin, the pillows are very high, and Horton only has blankets. The service staff did not smile and was not enthusiastic, and could not match the services of other hotels in our time. Regarding parking, the hotel does not have free parking and a one-way street. Paid parking is expensive, we parked in a nearby public car park, there are many homes around, we found the cheapest is $15 a day, opposite the cvs pharmacy. Regarding dining, the hotel does not include breakfast, and the breakfast is not cheap. Starbucks is on the corner of the street. It is about 5 minutes drive from the famous cafe 21. You can eat brunch.

The location is great, in the gaslamp quarter. About half an hour walk from the famous Balboa Park. It is not too far from the port of San Diego. Many bars and restaurants downstairs. Good is very convenient, and bad is very noisy at night. The choice for nightlife is right here. The music downstairs is a lot of Latin and there are street bands. Okay. The staff were very welcoming. Will organize a city tour. Breakfast is average, no milk. The decoration is very unique, the patio is very warm, but unfortunately there is no time to enjoy. Washing clothes one dollar at a time, drying one dollar. Would consider here if I return.

Checked in online. Room was available a little early, but not early enough to change clothes after arriving. Very limited public restroom space, and waited almost an hour before a stall would open up to change. Odd. Room was recently renovated, though already showing some signs of wear (carpet stains and dinged walls). Occupancy sensors in the bathroom and for the AC are annoying. Light blasts on in the bathroom in the middle of the night when entering. Can’t enable constant fan on the HVAC for those that like constant moving air and the white noise. Room facing the convention center did get a little noisy from the train traffic, with some shaking when a freight train came by. The “desk” setup in the room is a half bar height and awkward to work on. Couch seating wasn’t comfortable either. Otherwise, a relatively quiet stay in a decent room. The location is fantastic. Staff was helpful and courteous.

Admittedly, we selected this hotel because it was the best price in the area and was very close to Petco Park. Since we were in San Diego to attend a game, it was an easy decision. Our room was fine but fairly small. The bathroom was quite large and very nice. (I would have settled for a slightly smaller bathroom with larger room.) Our friends' room was even smaller. The rooftop bar had a great view and was very nicely set up. The one big negative I had....It was advertised online and in the elevator that the Bistro offered drinks and food throughout the day. The reality was that, due to limited staffing, it was closed. Complimentary coffee was available there....if you were lucky enough to find it. We were later told to just wave down the front desk person to get more coffee. I understand that, due to Covid, places are short staffed. I let them know that they need to change their web site since we were expecting to find a place within the hotel to grab coffee and snacks or a few bites. Otherwise, we were able to walk to so much in the area.

I am not expecting the Breakfast is like a fast food store / Grap & Go as the name of the hotel name Suites. This is out of my personal expectation and I don't know why they have charged each night for USD 25. I paid all the tax and service charge on Trip.com and they come out 1 charge is city tax. I was asking them what is that and the front desk said it is a kind of city tax but you can go to the snack shop ( i can't remember what they call) and buy something, they can deduct this invoice, I do not have to paid. At Last, my response is: I don't need anything from that shop, the front desk replied: Oh!
