Very disappointed with the service in this hotel. But the rest of the team at the reception is quite rude and instead of telling us they will find a solution or apologize for the mistakes made by the cleaning ladies or issues we have had in the room they decide to argue with us and they say this is your version I don’t have the one of the staff. This type of attitude coming from a manager is even more disappointing. Not professional at all and makes us feel uncomfortable. A manager should not argue with customers but instead make them feel welcomed, safe and understood. The lady in charge at the restaurant in the evening was having a go at the waiters in front of us customers and laughing out loud at their mistakes, sighing in dispair at them. All in front of us. I stayed at this hotel between 26/09-01/10 in the 'Sidonie' room. The hotel was clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly, bed was (very) comfortable and the restaurant is first class and highly recommended whilst serving the best steak I ever tasted. It was somewhat perplexing however to find that there was no wardrobe or even drawers for storage of clothing in the room..nothing! On enquiring, the sole portmanteau available had already been given out to another guest for the same reason. A hotel with no storage facility for clothes of this standard and rating - come on! As a male travelling alone, I could just about endure living out of my suitcase for 5 nights but by the end of it, it had became quite tiresome and the room was resembling that of a teenager's bedroom with chairs doubling up as improvised places to hang clothes from. I doubt that many other travellers and females (especially) would be so understanding and accepting of this inexplicable omission however. For such a well run hotel, it is a stage omission which lacks understanding as to who in the management chain thinks this is acceptable or 'a good idea'? There is more than adequate space to put one or more units as well which compounds the matter. I would gladly stay there again, but I would need to ask for a room with somewhere to store my clothes (properly) if I did though.

would have been good for a couple, but we needed an extra bed, which was a pull out sofa rather than a single. Without question it was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever sat on let alone tried to sleep on. Even the kids who weigh nothing could not lie on it due to the bits of wood sticking out. The double bed did not have a topper on it, so it was like sleeping on springs. In the end we made a bed up a slept on the floor. I get the notion of a *****ped back hotel, but the one thing you can’t get wrong are the beds. It’s the only thing we booked for! Such a shame as the hotel is otherwise great. The staff have been v friendly and everything is incredibly clean and as it should be. Only other tiny point is that there is no tea or coffee in rooms, but I’m guessing that’s a company thing
