Absolutely fantastic hotel for young families. Could not recommend more. There was plenty of selection and change in the restaurant and lovely wine being served on all in. They also had nice glasses which is always a bonus! The snack bar was pretty good too if the kids wanted a snack and there was a huge selection of all inc ice cream and decent cava too. The rooms were basic but fine (take your own hairdryer) and beds comfy. Pools were the absolute selling point for us. The pool area didn't open until about 9 so no one could hog sunloungers first thing. There were plenty though and always some available at any point in the day. The deeper busier pool was kids friendly but the kids pool was just fantastic for our 9 month old and nearly 5 year old! Plenty of bugger shops close by so if you need anything you can grab (a supermarket and a holiday tat shop) and only a short taxi to the beach. Handy for palma airport and sealife too. Would return here in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

This is my second visit as my first was as near perfection as possible. The setting is beautiful ( you need a car or be prepared to get cabs everywhere if you want uk do anything - we just stayed for relaxation both times though so this was not a problem). The food is incredible, the rooms beautiful. A lovely spa. Fabulous pool bar run by a very pleasant and efficient woman. Large well maintained pool. A chilled environment - it doesn’t really attract people with children other than the occasional baby - quiet and relaxing. A fantastic old building carefully restored. The perfect retreat. So… the negatives this time On arrival we were early so our room wasn’t ready - this is fine but there wasn’t anywhere we could get a coffee after a flight until 11.30. The woman checking us in assured us she would call when our room ready. The call never happened. We arrived at dinner and we waited to be shown to a table. And waited. And waited. The exhausted looking staff steadfastly avoiding eye contact. Eventually a woman asked us what time our reservation. We hadn’t made one. On check in this was never explained to us and we hadn’t last time. She did fit us in and we went to the lovely bar and ordered a drink while we waited. Hardly a hardship but it would have been easy to explain this kind of thing on arrival. Ditto the arrangements for the spa- you get a massage included in the endless privileges package but important to book well in advance. The next morning we arrived at breakfast and the same thing happened. The growing queue decided to take matters into their own hands and find their own tables. We asked ( very politely) for coffee and we’re told brusquely by the woman in charge they were very busy. And we asked again. and again - seeing others getting served several times in the meantime. 40 minutes later the lovely young man brought our coffees. We had finished breakfast and we’re about to leave. Please - shrink your menu and just serve filter coffee if you can’t cope. The spa - beautiful but lots of features out of action. No signage to that effect so lots of bemused guests pressing buttons. Please sort that out. All of these things can be rectified so don’t let it put you off and Zoetry - if you’re reading this please fix our wonderful retreat!

A glorious location and historic building. The private beach alone is a material justification for this splurge as so many of the local beaches are overcrowded with and require a claustrophobic and stressful drive to reach followed by uncertainty of parking and a highly diverse group of bathers making it hard to even walk to the water. Ancient castle walls. Exceptional restaurant. Wonderful sea and sunset views. Though the range of cost is extreme. In September rates were as high as $4100 but then dropped below $1000 in the second half of October and to a low point of $688. Choose your dates carefully.

Como hotel de dos estrellas está mucho mejor de lo que cabria esperar... buen desayuno, aunque no tiene platos calientes pero si todo tipo de panes, bolleria, embutidos, leches, zumos, etc La ubicación no es lo mejor ya que esta un poco alejado de la playa, pero en una zona tranquila y nuestra habitación tenia vistas despejadas a un pinar. La habitación estaba reformada con televisión y aire acondicionado El personal muy amable y atento. Un sitio perfecto para unas vacaciones económicas en la playa de Palma

Really good hotel, the place is spotless the cleaners are relentless in their work. We found all staff to be really friendly from reception to bar mai /idra restraunt staff (mari/juan). The food was good, and lots of it and drinks included in all-inclusive exceptional. There was entertainment most evenings. The pool is kept so clean, you need to be early as their are minimal sunbeds around the pool,the pool attendant is fair if your bed has been left unoccupied for 45 they remove your things for others to use. Their are many nice things hot tub/ sauna, table tennis, shelf with books on you can take to read,pool table. Good selection of snacks and icecreams. The location is good, quiet area with the ***** on 10minutes on foot walking to the pubs,clubs and bars and also the beach. The only downside is it's neighbours the Cockerells who never stop cawing.

Stayed mid July.. 3 night mini break Heatwave 34-38 degrees..not many English in hotel and in that location either( not issue for us) .. wifi 1Euro a day.. Although seemed lots youngsters we didn’t have noise issues at all.... no entertainment , not that type hotel but we knew that anyway .. positives.. Room and all hotel areas had air con thank goodness , free-in room ,was given a remote to operate ..fridge in room which was great. We stayed half board.. all staff very friendly , comfy beds ,room cleaned daily and towels .food plentiful and always something we liked .. had half board.. we have early breakfast, 7.30/8,quiet and plenty tables.. evening only ate once as ate out but what we had was good… higher floor recommended good value break for what we needed.. Negatives .. Bar area by pool wasn’t open when we were there at 6 pm..maybe we just missed it but no other bar at hotel . pool small not many beds and doesn’t look appealing .. No car park and the area is full cars, very hard to find spaces, hotel directed us to large car park , a good walk but was ok for us but just looked derelict land but good it was free but I’d say get full insurance,.bathroom shower needed good deep clean in drain hole ..basic cleaning fine but think a thorough clean was needed in certain areas.. Air con unit was on balcony low down and was blowing hot so was to hot to sit out on balcony.. you have to take price into consideration as it’s cheap cost hotel .. Resort:. 10 min walk to Beach which gets busy . Long stretch .. need to get there before 11 am for beds.. charge about 16 euro 2 beds umbrella.. Promenade very busy in evening.seemed more youths .., don’t go if you like quiet.. struggled for seats at a quiet bar..

My partner and I have just returned to London after a weeks stay in Hotel Costa Mediterraneo. We had a lovely holiday on a budget. One thing we could not fault was the cleanliness. Wherever you went it smelt of nice clean soap and the bed linen/towels were fresh. Check in was quick, we arrived around 2am and had to pay the usual tourism tax, which being a 2 star hotel, it wasn’t very much at all. It obviously has been recently renovated, yes the further you go up the stairs the older the flooring becomes but come on- who goes on holiday to moan about old floors? I really didn’t mind our room, the bed was big and super comfortable, even a third bed which we used as clothes storage! Freshly painted walls and very clean. The wardrobe was nice and new with 10 hangers and there was a safe too but we did not use. The bathroom was basic but we had no problems with water temperature and enjoyed our daily showers. This hotel gave me Travelodge vibes. So, now the things we think could definitely be improved upon to gain more clientele. I really think as a hotel you need to listen to the reviews about noise and come up with a solution. It was the only thing to be honest that made us slightly unhappy with our stay! We had room 408 which was right next to the elevator and it kept me awake most nights… you could hear it going up and down, people’s conversations, and the lift door being smashed against the walls when people open it. Breakfast was raised to 9 euros during our stay, we tried it once, arriving at 9:15am. What was left of the baguette was not enough for two people and didn’t get replenished but the scrambled eggs and bacon did. I don’t think it was worth 9 euros but it was nice to enjoy the “hotel experience” and the food was nice! We thought there was a drainage problem as every morning when we flushed the loo a smell of rotten eggs filled the bathroom for around 30 mins- 1 hour. And lastly, the TV situation! I asked reception if there was any English channels as we couldn’t find any and they said there was 2 or 3 but alas we couldn’t find anything. The TV itself is super small and placed on the wall far away so if you’re blind like me it’s a little tricky!
