We had a concert to go to at the o2 on a Sunday night. We didn’t want to try and train back home so decided to stay at the Ibis hotel. We have never visited Greenwich before so a good opportunity while we were here. Hotel….. Front of house were friendly, helpful and welcoming Room was clean and very spacious. No faults with hotel or room at all. Location…. Great location in the heart of Greenwich. Greenwich park was literally around the corner Greenwich market 1 min walk away. Other sight seeing places all within walking distance. Walking distance to the o2, very pretty walk along the Thames Path. Took 30 mins. Will certainly stay at the ibis again .

I understand that you get what you pay for and we have stayed in an EasyHotel before (the one in Victoria) so we knew what to expect, but it could have been cleaner and better maintained. We stayed in one of the windowless rooms as we were just going to a concert at the Royal Albert hall and leaving straight away in the morning, so we really only needed a bed and a bathroom, so the no window wasn't an issue and made the room cheaper. We also knew that EasyHotels don't usually have tea/coffee facilities and the rooms are very small so there is no drawers/wardrobe etc. which we were fine with as we just wanted a cheap room for one night. My issue was with the fact that the bathroom sink appeared to not have been cleaned properly - there was makeup and hairs in it.. Also one of the walls around the mirror had not been finished painted so was kind of just bare concrete. Next, inside the room, the walls had big dents in them and the wall panels were kind of coming away from the wall which hadn't been fixed.. The walls are also quite thin and I woke up a couple of times in the night to noises coming from other rooms. Lastly it seemed like a child had put the bedding on - we had to put the sheet on ourselves as it had practically just been laid on the bed without being tucked in, there was a hole in the duvet cover, and the mattress was extremely lumpy with a big hole right in the middle meaning we were rolling into each other all night into this dip in the middle haha.. Another thing which bothers me (which is just a cosmetic observation really) is that the rooms are lined with that grey industrial lino you would find in a school corridor or hospital, they could have at least used wood-effect lino - same price but a much nicer, homey vibe. We were only there overnight so just around 9 hours approx. But still these are all issues which could be easily fixed with some proper upkeep. On a positive note the 24 hour check in is great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The TV in the room worked fine and we had no issues with the shower/toilet etc. Location is also easy walking distance from the Royal Albert Hall.

Self check-in is particularly convenient. Conveniently located to Greenwich Observatory. It is very close to the pedestrian street and there are many Chinese milk tea shops nearby. Eating is also convenient. Recommended stay

The staff was very nice and the whole place was full of young people. It definitely is a youth hostel and the place isn’t as big as other ones so it’s not super loud. Although the stairs are a little loud so that might wake you up. We stayed in a private room with bunk beds and they gave you towels and the shower was pretty good. The room was small as to be expected but it definitely wasn’t worth $180 a night when you could just pay for a bigger hotel room. The location was nice right by Hyde park and some free museums.

The staff and the service: totally incredible. The food was average at best, and there weren't many amenities, but it was located very close to 2 train lines which was extremely convenient. If you aren't planning to spend much time in your room, it's a great staging area for heading into London, going to and from the airport, or getting anywhere you need to. Priced right, especially for what you're getting. I would recommend it to friends and I would stay there again myself.

If you're looking for a hotel to visit London, this is not the one. To give you an idea : Piccadilly Circus is about 1.5 hours to walk and about 45 minutes by taxi (expensive) and, if you're lucky, about the same by public transport (a mixture of walking, bus and tube... and a pain!) That said, if you need a hotel in this particlar area – which is actually nearer to Fulham than Sloane Square, then you could do much worse. The welcome was genuinely warm and we were made to feel appreciated. Despite checking in the previous day via the Hilton app., no room could be allocated, so we had to check in again at the front desk. The check in staff was charming and efficient and her trainee status was not evident. Our 6th floor room, well away from the renovation noise on the 1st floor felt, however, like a downgrade from the 'Queen' room we'd booked, as it had a double bed in it (150cm) – like Hampton Inns, which Hilton class as 2 categories below Doubletree. For Diamond members – who can expect room upgrades “up to a one bedroom suite” - this could be a disappointment. Queen beds are usually 160cm, doubles 150cm. If this hotel is selling doubles as queens, then I personally think this is a bit naughty of them. Also, despite the hotel stating that their 1st floor renovation work does not start before 9 a.m., they do not mention that the massive building project which half-encircles the hotel, starts well before this time and is constant throughout the day and, by the look of things, is destined to last for a long time yet. The room was clean, the bed comfortable although narrow and, apart from a few stains, the room was adequat for a one or two night stay. I wouldn't like to stay longer, as the bathroom is even smaller than a Hampton Inn – there's nowhere to put a toilet bag and nowhere to hang used towels. The shower unit is the same style as in Hamptons but much smaller than most. The toilet seat was loose and so was 'interesting' when using it, several plug sockets in the room did not work and the a/c and TV turned themseves off several times during our stay. Otherwise the room was well designed, with enough mirrors, work surface, chair, safe etc. and fridge that gets things cold enough – if you are willing to wait about 18 hours, that is! Don't expect a good sleep – the doors are not sound-proofed and are paper-thin. Room doors are also constantly 'banging' shut due to the spring mechanism. The lobby bar is well stocked but has slighly frightening prices. We didn't try the restaurant – choosing a Middle-Eastern restaurant 5 minutes' walk away – but the food we saw looked to be well-presented and seemed to be of the fast food type. The breakfast was, to be totally frank, extremely disappointing. The quality was good but the choice was extremely poor for a Doubletree and, in comparison to the maybe 30 or 40 Doubletrees I've stayed in, is by far the worst breakfast 'spread' I've seen to date. Stayed here with family while visiting Chessington theme park. The hotel is located in nice quite part with beautiful views. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. Staff recognised my membership status and explained all benefits. The room had few stains but overall was comfortable. Note the place has no restaurant or anything at walking distance but few local places offer delivery. Breakfast was unfortunately a bit letdown for us 2 days in a row as the hash browns were cold and croissants not warm! Being vegetarian that were the options I went for as didn’t have much choice. Thankfully good coffee machine so had lovely cappuccino. I will however stay again more for the great staff and the location of the hotel.

On arrival there was a new girl on Reception (black girl) and she told me that the room I had reserved was room only and I knew I had booked a b&b rate. Although she was very pleasant she said she was new and needed to check with a more experienced receptionist. A white lady came into the reception area and was telling me that the new girl didn't know how to check was was included in the room rate and started showing her - how to check for this while I was there. This white lady (had a foreign accent) was quite abrupt to me and I thought to myself, maybe if you trained the new girl better, she would be able to check these details. The new girl was apologizing, I said to her its not your fault, you need to get trained better in your role. She was a beautiful young girl and very friendly and tried to help as much as she could. The kettle in my room was not working but was replaced quite quickly. I went to get some milk from the trolley and the Housekeeper (Spanish) screamed at me - your are not allowed to touch the trollies and if you need anything, please contact Reception, I said shall I leave it back then and she said - No its OK!. Had to advice Reception if one, needed their room cleaned. Breakfast was nice except the mushrooms they were too hard and difficult to eat. Staff tend to move trollies and talk to each other when guests are around and they use the guest lift as a service lift. They got in the way at times when I was trying to get out of the hotel, they apologized for getting in my way. Majority of staff were friendly, rooms need updating. On my last day, I was getting some tea at breakfast time in the dining area and when I returned a staff member (Small Indian lady) was clearing away my food and I had only went to get a cup of tea and had not finished my breakfast, I told her I was still having my breakfast. I was annoyed as my room card was still on the table but she never noticed this and was clearing it away. They spray and clean empty tables very close to you as you eat your breakfast which is frustrating as the smell of the cleaning liquid is quite strong, It was my first time staying at this hotel, however in the past I have had coffee/tea there but never stayed before. I would rate is as a 3 star Hotel and not a 4 star Hotel.

Hampton by Hilton is enjoyable to stay in , so wonderful it’s staff, but my experience I had was when I went to have my breakfast and there was shortage of seats, sat on one but disgracefully removed by an old white lady who claimed the seat was kept for her and the husband. It was very distasteful, especially when they have a full house when everyone is having their breakfast. I belittled and disrespected. I thought the tables could have been cleaned when they are dirty after use, but on this occasion, the dirty one were not cleaned but there were very much not enough tables left.

We recently stayed here for the London Marathon 2022. We chose this hotel as the location was very close to the DLR station and very easy to get to Greenwich which was near the start. The hotel is hidden away off the main road but was very welcoming. Jeremy the Reservations manager looked after us and made our stay really lovely. We stayed for 3 nights and had a room on the 6th floor. The room was small but really cosy and quiet. Maybe could have done with a fridge in the room and some extra storage space but other than that an excellent stay. Breakfast was fabulous and on the morning of the Marathon extra food was put on and we could do down much earlier so we could digest our food before the run. Would stay again.
