Please ignore the bad reviews. We arrived on Aug 5th around 8.30pm, you do have to walk through the middle of the shops to get to the reception but it's really not a problem. The lady on the desk was lovely and gave us all the info we needed. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children -10,12,16. We stayed in room 94, it's a 2 bed with plenty of space and a sofabed that is easy to pull out and pack away. The appointment was clean and had everything we needed other than an oven, we already knew this but just bear in mind that obviously that limits what you can cook. The cleaners came in every other day and did a very good job, clean towels and made beds, they were changed twice while we were there. The cleaners are lovely and happy to help if you need anything between cleans. No there isn't air con but the ceiling fans do a great job, the cleaner told us to leave to curtains closed when we go out as it keeps the room cooler. The only reason I've not given the last star is the noise from the bin men every night around 11.30/12 and then again 6/7am, we left our balcony doors open a little to help keep cool but the noise woke me everyday! Please also bear in mind that the hotel is on top of the hill, you have to go down to go the the shops, bars, restaurants and beach....but then you have to come back up...lol. There are 3 pools and a hot tub, we didn't use the downstairs pool, it had a 35cm platform all around the outside which our kids didn't like, great if you had toddlers. There is a toddler pool on the rooftop too. The main pool on the rooftop is 175cm deep, it's not very big but it also wasn't very busy, our kids loved playing in there, they don't allow blow up floatys....but they do allow pool noodles and diving sticks for the kids to play with. There is a bar at both but we didn't use them, nor did we have the breakfast, it cost £10 each and I don't think it's worth it as you can go to most cafes and get a full English for around £5! There is a Lidi 2 minutes walk away, which was very handy. The shops below are great for gifts, probably some of the cheapest we found too. Scooby's cafe is also lovely and good value. Highland paddys in Los Gigantes is a must visit, great food and entertainment. We hired a car from across the road from the apartments, been as we waited till we were there and it was August it did cost us £550 for the 2 weeks but honestly it was a god send, we were able to visit anywhere on the island, we also paid £45 to park in the multi storey which is a must as parking everywhere in Tenerife was a nightmare, we also used paid parking when out visiting towns as it wasn't to expensive and we always got a space, street parking is crazy busy!! Due to having the car we were able to visit Los Cristanos, Las Americas, Costa Adeje, Monkey Park, Loro Park, Aqualand and Mount Teide sunset. Taxis to the south are approximately £70 each way. We also booked a boat trip from down in Los Gigantes, the Masca express, wow it was brillia
