Beautifully restored historic building in the heart of the Ribiera very short walk from the Duoro restaurants and bars. Olga and Fernando were perfect hosts and the breakfast were fantastic array of local bread, meat and cheeses with Olgas home made accompaniments. We very much enjoyed our stay and InPatio and look forward to returning again.

We love InPatio Guest House! It was the last place we stayed at on our month-long trip to Spain and Portugal. InPatio Gues was the perfect place to end our vacation because it was our favorite place of all the hotels/guest houses we stayed at on our trip. The owners, Olga and Fernando, were so welcoming, personable, communicative, and hospitable. They made sure to confirm our arrival time and that someone was there to greet us when we arrived. I don't recall who greeted us upon our arrival, but he was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were perfect as well. I loved that they were nestled in an old, renovated building. It was obvious they put a lot of work into the renovations! Also, the location was perfect! It was centrally located but in a quiet, charming alley. All we had to do was step out from the alley and we were right there in the hub of all the action. There was also a restaurant in the alley next door to the guest house and we had a lovely evening outside, eating dinner and having drinks. It was the perfect ambiance! Afterward, we just walked two steps to our room. It was wonderful to do that after a long day of walking and sightseeing. Olga and Fernando made sure to include personal touches to our stay and we looked forward to little treats and surprises each day. We appreciated the personal and thoughtful touches very much. My favorite thing about InPatio Guest House was the breakfast. It was the best breakfast we've ever had of all the places we've traveled. They took such pride in the perfectly selected foods prepared each day (and each day was different). Everything was so fresh and savory. One month later and I am still thinking about the delicious breakfasts! Additionally, Fernando made the best cappuccinos! InPatio Guest House was fabulous and I can't recommend it enough! You will not be disappointed!

This was the perfect place to stay in Porto! It's in a great location close to the river, but on a private side patio. We were able to walk to restaurants, while street shopping was just next door. We were met on arrival for our relatively-late check in, and they accommodated perfectly our ridiculously-early check out. The breakfast was plentiful (almost too-much food!) and delicious. Our family of four was provided adjoining rooms on a whole floor to ourselves. The rooms were "cozy" but still comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

InPatio Guest was absolutely perfect for touring. We could easily walk to river or up the hill to all the sites. Many restaurants and shops nearby. They were so accommodating and allowed us to leave our bags (plane arrived early morning) to stroll and let us check in as soon as the room was ready, well before checkin. The breakfast was amazing, so don't plan to eat any lunch! Beautiful home made breads, fresh fruit and local products with good coffee. Our room was comfortable, quiet, black out shades, large bathroom, good A/C. This is a great find for the price point in Porto near everything you want to see.

This is a great place, excellent location, wonderful breakfasts. It is not a hotel, however, so don't expect a 24!hr front desk. I would certainly stay there again and this had to be 200 words so I just keep writing. And writing, and writing. And writing Heavens I could be back in school.

We had a most enjoyable stay here both before and after our river cruise. This is a gem of a small hotel, just off a street in the Ribeiro district, at the rear of a courtyard, so very convenient for exploring Porto, the Ribeiro district of Porto, and Villa Nova de Gaia. The couple who own the hotel are delightful - friendly and helpful at all times. Olga served beautiful varied breakfasts with home grown or locally produced items. Our beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom were spacious, with toiletries, a small fridge and coffee and tea making equipment. The breakfast room had individual tables, and was a comfortable sitting area with travel guides and coffee making equipment available during the day. There is a small café/bar in the courtyard which was great for a refreshing beer at the end of the day! Fernando accommodated our request to have the same room on our return and was most helpful in holding our luggage until later on the day of departure. There were detailed instructions about how to get there and we had no trouble finding it. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend this hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at InPatio. We stayed for 3 nights. Olga & Fernando made us feel welcome and were very accommodating, allowing us to store our bags after checkout until our flight. The included breakfast was an added bonus. It was tasty and filling. Olga proudly tells you where each food item comes from. Our room was quiet and comfortable and the guesthouse is in a great neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here.

Olga and Fernando’s place is amazing! Perfect location, off the main street for quiet and just steps from wonderful walks, restaurants and sites. The room was spacious and had everything needed, including chocolates and Pasteis de nata 😋. The bed was incredibly comfortable. There is no way to adequately explain how wonderful the breakfasts are. Fresh bread with a variety of tasty local meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, homemade pastries, cappuccinos and so much more. Best of all was interacting with Olga and Fernando, they are absolutely lovely and incredibly responsive. Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

InPatio is a fabulous place to stay while in Porto. The location is excellent - walking distance to the river, bridges, port tastings etc and yet in a courtyard off a busy street so very quiet. There’s also an excellent restaurant adjacent to the hotel so after a busy day, you can walk 10 ft to an excellent restaurant. Olga/Fernando excel at customer service. We particularly thought their included breakfast was delicious, nutritious and generous. We hope to return to Porto and stay here again.
