My three days at Xilamuren Star Campsite were honestly one of the highlights of my trip. The yurts are a modern twist on the traditional yurts, these are more like hotel suites with a bathroom and separate shower within the yurt, a good feature if you are not looking for the authentic yurt experience. The drive to the grounds is very rural and you will drive past beautiful countryside scenery. within the grounds itself there isnt much to do, the owner will take you to neighbouring yurt hotels for bonfire, music and dance shows. On our drive back to Hohhot saw many other yurt complexes with more amenities (I don't know what the price difference is) and can't complain about the service, staff were very helpful and kind.
