One of the worst locations at Kinugawa Onsen area. Hidden in the mountain, no significantly beautiful view. Despite we need to pay for ”Hoshino Resort price”, unlike other cheaper hotels, we need to PAY for TAXI ourselves and getting a taxi during new year time is a terribly painful. Hotel staff lack of initiatives getting us cab instead we need to open different apps and such ... and on the way back the following day we ended up walking for 20 mins by ourselves .... Food is ok, onsen is ok, cleanliness ok, but nothing super ordinary. You can pay attention to details in decorations and inhouse services, but you can't pay attention to one of the most obvious services you HAVE TO provide to your guests, Hoshino ---- shuttle service .......

O ônibus do hotel funciona apenas algumas vezes por dia, então faça reservas com antecedência. Há um ônibus que vai até o sopé da montanha. Não é fácil subir a montanha com malas grandes. O drink de boas-vindas do hotel é bom, com refrigerantes, cerveja e champanhe. O quarto é pequeno, e os lençóis e a colcha em estilo japonês são um pouco finos, o que pode esfriar à noite. A fonte termal está misturada com muitos objetos flutuantes. Não sei se é keng ou substâncias da própria fonte termal. O cheiro de enxofre é muito forte. Depois de mergulhar e tomar banho, ainda há um cheiro de enxofre. Deve ser uma fonte termal muito autêntica. A fonte termal ao ar livre não tem paisagens pequenas, apenas muitas ervas daninhas. Não há clima para mergulhar nela. Os jantares e cafés da manhã são os piores de todos os hotéis de um quarto e dois quartos em que me hospedei ao longo dos anos. Não os terminei de comer porque eram muito ruins. Havia até duas salsichas no café da manhã. Nunca vi um jantar tão superficial. Resumindo, este hotel parece decadente. Não o recomendo de jeito nenhum.

A rather unique hot spring hotel. The room I booked was a Japanese-style room (washitsu), purely tatami room, and there's no bathroom inside – please be aware of this. To bathe, you need to go to a separate, traditional Japanese hot spring bath, separated by gender, where you must be naked and thoroughly washed before entering. Opinions on the experience vary, but the Japanese seem to enjoy it, haha. The hotel includes breakfast and dinner, which were surprisingly high quality, and the menu changed daily, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent, with the typical Japanese attentiveness, and the staff spoke decent English, so communication wasn't a problem. Overall, a very unique hotel, definitely worth experiencing.

Nós estavamos totalmente entusiasmados com a nossa estadia em Kaniyu Onsen. A entrada é uma experiência de Jochen Schweitzer sozinho! Com o comboio de Kita Senju para Kinugawaonsen (1,5h), lá no autocarro para Meotobuchi (1,5h) e depois no nosso navegador (20min). Sem ser japonês para reservar no local, aventura! Mas tudo funcionou sem dúvida, graças também às mulheres muito ajudantes na Info Turista e que uma bela paisagem durante as viagens! No nosso chegado, o inglês foi muito bem falado e tudo explicado em pormenor. Aqui, muito importante para nós foi: tatuagens são toleradas de casa, mas devemos ter em conta os outros visitantes. É possível banhar quando ninguém está no banho ou cobrir com uma toalha. Estamos muito tarde para o grande banho comunitário. Já nos encontramos apenas nas pequenas banhos, onde não se vê muito. O jantar também é muito excepcional. Você tem que se envolver como europeu e para mim, que não come peixe, custou um pouco de superação. Apesar disso, você só experimenta uma vez, por isso eles fazem com!! Nós achámos isso ótimo e iríamos voltar a qualquer momento! Obrigado por o tempo agradável!

first of I would like to thanks always trip.com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel,because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme,the carpet,the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design,etc.or cherry blossom in Japan,& so very affordable prize,we spend only 18,000 yen for 2 adults,with 2 breakfast & 2 dinner.Very near from kinugawa onsen station,only 3 hrs.from Tokyo.We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize,can accomodate even 10 person,the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour,like beer,japanese wine,sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the outdoor spring because of the concrete stairs,especially for the elderly when slippery,there's & a little bit far from our room,the young staff also at the counter is nice & most of them are young japanese lady,so very entertaining,so many free amusement like billiard,majong,etc.with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site.& last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip.com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan

Enjoyable stay at yutorelo nikko, which was conveniently located near lake chuzenji. Room was big and had a nice view of the lake. Hotel onsen was very legit and nice especially when the night was cold. There is free sake and alcohol in the lounge. Breakfast was a delicious set meal with drinks available. Hotel is walkable distance to kegon falls. Would recommend :)

The exterior of the hotel is pretty, but the interior of the hotel is dated and needs a bit of updating. There were parts of the hotel that were completely shut down (maybe there are saving up enough money to one day renovate). However the facilities and rooms are well maintained and the onsens are beautiful and peaceful. There are 2 main onsens, that are separated by men and women. Each day the onsens are switched, in the morning you will go to one, and in the evening before dinner you can experience the other onsen. Onsite there is a really nice restaurant and gift shop that featured local products at reasonable prices. There is a 24 hour coffee/tea station that is free to use. It's a short 10 minute walk from Kinugawa Onsen Station. When you arrive they provide you a yukata to wear while you are staying at the hotel. The rooms are spacious with options for a western bed or japanese style (sleeping on the floor). We opted for the western bed to be higher off the ground as we thought it would be colder to sleep on the ground. Although the rooms are very well heated and was a bit too warm, that we needed to open the window to cool the room down. The rooms have nice views of the countryside. They provide a pitcher of ice water in the room and you can go to the front desk to refill with ice if more is needed. The bathroom is quite large and has both a shower and toilet in a separate room of the bathroom; although we mostly bathed in the onsen. There is a 7-eleven nearby that was open 24 hours, but otherwise there isn't much else around the hotel. Also the town of Kinugawa Onsen closes quite early, around 8pm it's quite deserted. We were there at the end of November 2024, and it seemed that the hotel was mostly unoccupied, so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was a very nice one night stay.

The hotel overall is great for the price paid, and service was excellent especially from the Vietnamese girl at the front desk who speaks English AND Japanese fluently. Even Japanese guests thought she was Jap. Haha. However, the company could do with hiring a bit more staff as there are things that need a bit more attention and some repairs needed in the room. That being said, the rooms are huge! The outdoor onsen was also colder than expected (although this is explained during check in) and is best in the morning.

I don’t understand why someone would leave a negative review due to their own negligence. Trip.com clearly mentioned the additional 300-yen tax (I assume this is the onsen tax) per person, yet they still claimed they were “scammed.” My overall experience at Hotel Euro City was wonderful. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the shuttle bus service was amazing. If you want to get to the hotel easily, check the shuttle schedule on the hotel’s homepage so you don’t have to walk from the station. They run it every day at 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 15:15, 16:15, 17:15, and 18:15 from “Nikko Station Hotel Classic,” right next to JR Nikko Station. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the onsen in the backyard was great. It’s true that the room had a mild smell, but I assume it was due to recent pest control (it smelled like pesticide). Just open the windows for a while and it goes away. Breakfast was okay—not as fancy as in the advertisements, maybe because it wasn’t peak season. Overall, I think this is a very good choice, especially if you’re traveling with family. 自分の不注意が原因なのに、なぜ悪いレビューを書くのか理解できません。Trip.com にはきちんと「1人あたり300円の追加税金（おそらく入湯税）」と明記されているのに、それでも「だまされた」と書く人がいます。 私のホテル・ユーロシティでの滞在はとても快適でした。スタッフの皆さんはとても親切で、シャトルバスのサービスも素晴らしかったです。駅から歩きたくない場合は、ホテルのホームページでシャトルバスの時刻を確認すると良いと思います。毎日、JR日光駅のすぐ隣にある「日光ステーションホテルクラシック」から 9:00／9:30／10:00／15:15／16:15／17:15／18:15 に運行しています。 部屋は広くて快適で、裏庭にある温泉もとても良かったです。確かに部屋には少し匂いがありましたが、おそらく害虫駆除をした後の匂い（殺虫剤のような匂い）だと思います。窓を開けてしばらく換気すればなくなります。 朝食は普通で、広告ほど豪華ではありませんでしたが、ハイシーズンではなかったためかもしれません。全体的に、特に家族連れの方にはとても良い選択だと思います。
