"Best Western Plus Hotel Chitose – Convenient Airport Stay with Mixed Service My family and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Chitose this week. The hotel is about 10–15 minutes from New Chitose Airport, and the taxi ride cost roughly $30 USD, which made travel very convenient. Our arrival experience wasn’t the strongest start. We arrived around 2:00 pm and were told our room was ready but that we would need to pay an additional fee to check in one hour early. They held our luggage while we waited in the lobby, and about 10 minutes before official check-in time they offered to let us in to our room (10 minutes early) as a “favor.” Since the room was already prepared, this felt unnecessary and didn’t set the most welcoming tone to charge us. Even simply delivering our luggage to the room while we explored would have been appreciated. The room itself was quite good. It was clean (besides couch stain and shower smudge), relatively spacious by Japanese standards, and stocked with the usual thoughtful amenities common in Japan. The beds were comfortable, and having three pillows per bed was a nice touch. The soaps also felt high quality. The TV is not placed at an angle that makes it easy to watch from the bed, only the couch but we didn’t use it or this living room area. The location is another plus, with several restaurants, Seven-11 and shops within easy walking distance. Service was somewhat inconsistent. The concierge provided a map with recommendations but mentioned being new to the area and couldn’t share much additional insight. When we asked the night desk attendant about nearby places serving Japanese soufflé pancakes for breakfast, she suggested waiting for the hotel café to open at 10:00 am, even though they don’t actually serve pancakes, which wasn’t especially helpful. Overall, the hotel is clean, comfortable, and very convenient to the airport with reliable WiFi. Just don’t expect highly proactive hospitality or detailed local recommendations beyond the basics."

"I had a wonderful stay at Air Terminal Hotel. The location is absolutely perfect since the hotel is directly inside the airport, making it extremely convenient, especially for travelers with early morning flights. The airport itself has many shops, restaurants, snack stores, and convenience stores, so it’s very easy to find food, drinks, and anything you might need. The room is compact but clean and comfortable. One of the highlights was the window view overlooking the airplanes — it was a unique and beautiful sight.✈️ 😋Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of delicious options. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers access to an onsen, which is a great feature, although I didn’t get the chance to try it because the queue was quite long. Overall, it was a very pleasant and convenient stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and easy access at the airport.👍"

"All amenities, room, and facility are OK. They has a small Onsen tub. I stayed here to plan to get to the airport in the morning fast. It is only 2 stations away from New Chitose Airport and very close to Chitose station in 1 mins walk. Pretty expensive during snow festival tho."

"One of the best ryokans I have visited in Hokkaido There are 2x 7 feet bed (very comfy), big projector in the living room, and the in room onsen was spacious and clean! Clean and modern rooms with a smart tv The room was overlooking the snow and unfortunately lake view was blocked by the snow. Both dinner and breakfast were of top notch quality (we have tried many and they're usually very average), every dish was delicious and we were very full and satisfied. There was also a free beer to each guest every night, big selection of black teas in the lounge and free inari sushi (which was btw delicious!!!) Definitely 100%% would recommend to anyone that is looking for a last stop before heading to the airport"

"This place is good for couples and people staying near chitose and price was cheaper as well. The amenities was good and they had free massage chair, onsen, kids play area, free coffee service and free shuttle bus service. Disadvantages: shuttle bus pick up from airport is available only in evening time which was bad since we arrived in morning and had to take public transportation to reach hotel, the staffs during checkin time at evening was not with good attitude but staffs in morning was much better, greeting with smiling face and talk much kindly to customers."

"My Stay at a Hot Spring Hotel in Lake Shikotsu Marukoma Onsen Ryokan is truly a hidden hot spring hotel that few people know about. It's a rare outdoor hot spring hotel in Hokkaido, directly facing the unfrozen Lake Shikotsu. The scenery is incredibly beautiful! However the transportation is terrible 😞😞😞. It's close to New Chitose Airport, and is too far away from the city. There are only 3-4 public buses per day and it took hours to get there. 🥹🥹😭😭😭 But if you're driving on a self-drive trip, then forget it. The hotel occupies a large area by the lake, and there are no restaurants around since its secluded location 🥹🥹. If you don't book meals in advance, you can only buy instant food from the hotel's convenience store. Fortunately, you may have a high chance of encountering deer. Anyway, the outdoor hot spring is free. In the morning, there are usually no people around, so you can take photos. Private Hot Springs: There are two private hot - spring pools, one indoor and one semi -enclosed facing the outside. But! You must book it during the daytime. It gets dark early in winter. If you booked it at 7 p.m. then you couldn't see anything. The breakfast is good."

"The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and the hotel is located near the train station in the quieter Chitose area, which made for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided great room service. One of the biggest highlights was the convenient airport transportation, especially a huge relief when we had to manage our suitcases in the snow. There is also a shopping mall near the hotel, along with a large shoe plaza offering many options at reasonable prices. The staff there were incredibly kind and provided excellent service, making the experience even more enjoyable."

"This hotel offers incredible value for money, with many thoughtful and considerate details. For example, there's a corner seat in the elevator and even an emergency first-aid kit. The shower area in the bathroom has a seat, which is convenient for children or the elderly. The facilities are new, clean, and very stylishly designed! Also, after 9:30 PM, there's a complimentary late-night snack service, which brings different guests together outside the restaurant to share a meal – a unique and charming travel experience. What's more, after a hot spring soak, there are free popsicles and Yakult, along with a selection of famous manga available for browsing, making you feel truly at home. The only minor drawback is the limited parking space, but fortunately, there are many paid parking lots nearby."
