Kuqa 123 Youth Hostel is situated in the historically rich core of Kuqa Old Town and is one of the very few well-preserved typical Uyghur Ayiwang style dwellings in the area. We perfectly blend the essence of traditional ethnic architecture with modern minimalist design, offering two types of distinctive guest rooms, both ethnic-style Ayiwang themed rooms and comfortable, convenient modern minimalist rooms. In the courtyard, grape trellises sway, the garden is tranquil, and the terrace is spacious, allowing you to enjoy a rare moment of peace and comfort during your busy journey.
The hostel has an excellent location, within walking distance to Qiuci Alleys, Kuqa Royal Palace, Kuqa Grand Mosque, and Kuqa International Grand Bazaar. The surroundings are dotted with historical sites such as the Kizilgaha Beacon Tower, Subashi Ruins, the legendary Kingdom of Women, and Qiuci Museum. Step outside and you will find a local bazaar, or market, a night market, and a pedestrian street. You can experience the authentic local street life up close and conveniently purchase genuine Kuqa giant naan, which can be shipped, and exquisite Atlas silk clothing.
The hostel provides a free parking lot, making it ideal for self-driving travelers. It has convenient access to Kuqa Railway Station and Qiuci Airport, serving as an ideal transit hub for exploring southern Xinjiang. From here, you can easily start day trips to classic attractions such as the Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon, the Kizil Thousand Buddha Caves, Flaming Spring, and Demon City.
The neighborhood is a gathering place for delicious food, allowing you to savor authentic Xinjiang flavors to your heart's content. "I'm not a shill, but I highly recommend it! First of all, the public area and toilet in the room are very clean, and the auntie cleans every day. The location is very good, just opposite the alley of Qiuci, and not far from the attractions in the city. The decoration of the house is very unique, it's very interesting to live in the room, and it's super cool to sit in the yard and chat and eat! The most important thing is that the atmosphere is really good, the boss and the clerk are super nice, and all the brothers and friends I met are very good. I stayed for three days and ate or shared meals every day (it was super delicious Han food, friends who want to eat vegetables and Han food are saved 😭, and I also ate zongzi on the Dragon Boat Festival), and I also took the brother's car to visit attractions outside the city. Haha. Anyway, I had a very happy three days."
